@@iflyrcmike how long? after saving in game, ive pressed reset it for 5 to 15 seconds multiple times and every time i reload mario 64 it starts me back at the beggining... is there supposed to be a save confirmation?

Yes it does save!
You need to save in game first, THEN press reset button on the N64, for some reason it does holds the save.
Very helpful i thought you just had to press the reset button then it would save. Makes total sense you would have to save in game first then press reset button

Good point that’s because it needs to rewrite the sd card and it does that when the cartridge initializes

Thanks for your kind words The Icon, it's hard work to keep up and sometimes getting lost what kind of video's to make. So many idea's for example the king vs. king pro. at the end if you enjoyed the video and learned ... and helped people out that i'm happy :D at the end making video's sharing information is fun.
Nice! I already have almost all of the N64 games released in North America that I would want, but this would be fantastic for all those Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time hacks, some of the European and Japanese exclusives, and the few unreleased prototypes that exist (such as Dragon Sword.) I may very well pick this up sometime.
Load times will depend on the size of the Rom and the speed of the card. I'm using an 8gb Sandisk class 10 SD card, and it takes about 8 seconds for the biggest files to load (example, Conker's Bad Fur Day at 64mb). Everything else that's smaller than that takes way less time (most N64 Roms take around 2-3 seconds).

For Goldfinger 64, the EverDrive 64 (let's call it what it is) might not be using the correct save type by default. I'm pretty sure that can affect certain settings, such as music / sound effects volume. You may be able to either change the save type, or go into your watch pause menu and increase the volume slider bars.

To save, you save to your controller pack. Once it's done saving you hit the reset button. You do not "hold" anything down. Then wait for the OS to restart to the game selection screen and you're good to go.
I'm not sure why people keep saying to hold down the reset button. That's not true. At least for my cartridge.

This cartridge, coupled with an wireless Retrobit Tribute 64 Controller is an absolute dream. Reset will save the game (as it´s written on the cartridge ;).

It's a flash cart, they usually load the rom from the sd into the memory, with some flash carts this process can take a little while. I'm pretty sure this is what he means.
@@_MJ07_ Plus, it looks like an older, slower SD card is used - and with larger games, you can wind up with longer load times as a result.
Yeah in Banjo Kazooie on N64, the trivia game at the end instantly cuts to any part of the game completely animated in less than a second. For all the bad things about carts, that's one HUGE bonus over disks.

when i got one of these i accidentally turned on with the wrong region lock, which caused the N64 to not be able to turn on at all. if this does happen to you tho just unplug your console from the wall and let it sit for a while. I also heard someone suggest removing the jumper or expansion pak. doing these things made my console come back to normal! but make sure the region switch is in the right position lol

Amazing "naughty" multi-cart. A bargain. FYI: Goldfinger does have sounds. Just go to the "FX" and "Music" settings and crank 'em up. Just got this and, so far, only the original "South Park" game is not booting up. Cheers!

@@redfanrod Thank youuuu. Just got my cart this week. Only issue I've had so far is Goldeneye wasn't on the UK list, but the NTSC list version works fine. And Toy Story 2 doesn't have sound. But manageable.
@@ShaunRogue90 If you have the "Goldfinger" ROM be sure to turn up the volume settings when using Bond's watch. Some folks think there's no sound.

I have having problems saving NES games.
For example, I am trying to save my created team in Baseball stars for NES and it asks me to name the save and I do and confirm and then when I load the game back up after hitting reset, the save is gone. What am I doing wrong? I also get the current controller pack is not formatted properly every time I try to save. I format it every time, save the game and the save is gone the next time I play it and the screen comes back that asks me to format. How do I save NES games?

It’s an older EverDrive 64 clone, so games with battery saves get saved to a folder on the SD card. Games that require a memory card still need one present to save.
I liked the video. Because I was having trouble creating a cassette tape player for my very own Rewind Valley game Project. When I reverse the tape player backwards their is no sound? And that's why I liked your video. 6:40 - 7:50 It cheered me up.

I'm not sure about the Goldfinger issue there, I think that map still had issues on it at that time, I think that map had issues, but that was like 4 years ago, certainly before 2020.
But not 2018 before, probably just an older ROM, but I certainly remember that map having issues with no audio.
Still hardly a problem, you can just google it & download the latest, but if you want an entire library of official games, why not

So as so many have asked can you save or not?
I have the exact same multicart. Same cheap red plastic, same shitty sticker on the front. The cart reads .V64 and .Z64 files, though many (but not all) of the romhack files I have tested end up crashing the console. Transfer Pack functionality is completely intact so Pokemon Stadium will work if you have a copy of Red, Blue or Yellow and a Transfer Pack. Same goes for Stadium 2 and Gold/Silver. Battery Saves and ROMs are stored on the micro SD. Games that require a memory pack, still require them. Wallpapers loaded on my cart were in .bmp format but wallpapers that I've exported to .bmp and saved to the card always displayed funny. I'm hopeful there are still options for further customization. I paid roughly what I would for an EverDrive preloaded with every PAL and NTSC title and they all run fine (J and NA on my NA console). PAL games might run fine if you have the proper monitor/cables. Whoever compiled the roms for my cart definitely did their homework, though using the book The N64 Anthology to compare the game list I noticed some games (mostly Japanese titles) were missing but all of the North American releases were available with very few duplicates (release versions). Great video, Wicked Gamer & Collector. If you ever figure out a method to format .bmp files for the wallpapers on this thing and make a video I'd love you forever. Keep up the good work!
Picked this up for 20.00 online. Best 20.00 I ever spent. Now I just need to find an expansion pack so I can play perfect dark and Majora's mask
I kind of wish the bootlegers hacked the games to say the strange Famicom NES bootleg type hacks, like replacing the title Super Mario 64 to "Bros 6" and mario being blue or some shit.

I bought the cartridge in December of 2022. All the North American NTSC games work great. However, I am trying to play the games in the European PAL folder which won't work. They boot up but display in black and white and the screen flutters. How do I get a Nintendo 64 PAL signal to display on a North American flatscreen TV?

Very few n64 games run at 60fps, most are in the range of 25-40 fps tops

Yes these cartridges save.
Save in game using your controller pack then hit the reset button. Once it returns to the main screen to choose your game you're good to go.

I got one of these recently. Mine came with 16GB loaded with all the games for NTSC-U and PAL.
It's the only EverDrive that I own, so I'm not exactly knowledgeable, but I'd recommend it.
It's cheap, comes with all the games for USA and Europe, and just works. Yes, you have to reset the console to "save to cartridge" (memory pak saves work the usual way), but that's not a big deal.
I just have an NTSC N64, so I cleared everything off it, put complete NTSC-U and J sets on there, for both N64 and NES, romhacks/homebrew for N64 and NES, and also the Aleck64 set.
I'm sure it's not as good as the latest official ED64 from Krikks, but for the money you can't complain.
If you want to play NES, the included emulator is decent, but I recommend the latest (v2 beta at time of writing) version of Neon64. It's better than the included one, higher compatibility, etc.

@@jimmypage9283 Hi. NES games are not included. Just put them on yourself, unzipped as raw .NES rom files. The emu.nes file in the Ed64 folder will run them. I highly recommend replacing the included NES emulator with the Neon 64,as described in my 1st comment

It's the same as krikzz old everdrive 64 2.5 which still costs double this if you wanted an krikzz version with the same features

Cardridge werkt SUPER! Zit wel nog te twijfelen of ik zo'n kabeltje koop die het beeld nog eens upscaled naar HD. ;)
