Switched to these from a Diable Rosso Corsa. Fast street riding has no noticeable difference with grip and feel. The Rosso III is also easier to lean in on corners compared to the Corsas, but that is to be expected because the Corsa is also meant for track use.
Good tires! Got them on my Yamaha R1. Grip to the max. Definitely gonna grap them next year again ✌
I have these on my '96 Kawasaki ZX7R. 120/70 front, 190/50 rear. I absolutely love them. Coming from using the Dunlop Sportmax and Bridgestone Batllax in the past, these tires completely changed the character of the bike. In a good way. Awesome grip, stability, handling and confidence. Recommend.
I have the diablo sport tires on my r6 now and haven't done too much hard turning, but I'm planning changing that this summer. About to order these !

I have these tyres on my z750r. damm they are great those tyres. with cold weather i had max grip on corners. i drove not that much on the rosso 3 because i got deployed.
Love them on my MT07 great in winter and the rain (here in New Zealand) perfect in summer I love this tyre!

Hey did you lose any top-speed / acceleration by moving up to a 150? I just got the Rosso 2 tires in 140 because I was afraid it would affect my acceleration and top speed if I had gotten the 150 rear

Just bought an 07 gsxr 750 with a new set of these. Seem to have tons of grip.
I have to say that after owning two sets of Rosso 3's (Got about 5k miles out of the rear on the first), I'll probably never go back to anything else for normal use. I typically commute to work, ride to meets, and on the weekends, I hit the canyons. These are the best all around tires that I've found for that. I honestly feel like they grip amazingly well without even being warmed up.
I wouldn't expect these to be the best tire for the track, but they definitely feel like they could perform extremely well at the track given their versatility. If you can't afford 2 separate sets of tires (Street and track), but want to do both, these are probably the best bang for the buck.
How about compare to see?

So I go thru tires like socks I ride a s1000rr and it eats up tires way more than my R1 ever does so far pilot power 5s have lasted the longest

All great tires and hook up once warm but the power 5s held the best i know you can’t get best of both longevity, stickiness would like a better comparison with the rosso 3s
these tires are super fun, very forgiving at the traction limit and very controllable when sliding, makes my Ducati s2r1000 feel like a dirt bike or flat tracker... super fun if you're a hoon that likes getting sideways.
I have Diablo superbike slicks on my track bike, they're nothing like these, they're super sticky as well as being super scary when they break loose.
I currently have the diablo rosso 2.. my rear tire is pretty toasted now and was curious about upgrading to these but being i can find the 2s for about $50 cheaper rn on revzilla over the 3s should i just continue using the 2s or spend the extra for the 3s?? Thanks

Absolutely superb tyres... I have them on a gsxr1000. Tried a few different types, as I go through quite a lot,... Dunlop Sportsmart 2, Rosso Corsa, M7RR but like these best.
furryboot moto why do you like the Rosso 3 over the M7RR and how many miles from them ?
STR Rider, I had these rolling to the edges with confidence just after fitting and a good run, however I think in fairness it may have been in part due to ambient temperature being a little higher by the time I shifted from M7RR to Rosso 3... (perhaps unfair on the M7RR). I guess most of the big brands offer good tyres these days and it probably boils down to personal preference to some degree. I ran the M7RR for 2589 miles to be exact, used fairly hard on decent highland roads and probably changed a little earlier than could have been run for, the front still looked fine.
Given I've two sets of wheels I fitted another rear M7RR in readiness to "use up" the remaining front, so will have a chance to try them back to back again, maybe in similar temperatures. Generally getting about 3k from tyres and the Rosso 3 looks on track to return about the same with 2k already racked up... I'd probably be able to stretch that a bit but can't help myself from splashing out early just to keep that new tyre feel!...both great tyres though.
@@Dubaiinit have you run the M7 and Rosso 3 in a track setting? Curious about your thoughts on stability/grip under hard breaking. I run on the faster side of intermediate pace and I'm thinking about going with the Rosso 3 for more longevity. Just used up a set of Pirelli TD tires in 3 track days.
would it be a big difference if i ride on a fresh of diablo iii in the front and supercorsa sp v3 in the rear? The company I ordered from sent the wrong rear tire and I don't want to go through the shipping process again.

best tyre I have ever used, I have a modded gen 1 zx10r and have no faults. off to Silverstone July on them and riding there also. I'm not worried, top tyre :)
What are they like in the wet ?
+MrGrimo123 there good, I have been caught out a number of times in the rain. the joys of UK riding. I dont push it in the rain though, I keep it smooth but braking hard in the wet while the bikes upright caused no problems. Sorry I cannot be more helpful I'm not the best in the wet, oil and shit on the roads with water, it's just not worth it.

Any idea how these or the 4's compare to Battlax BT016s for a gsxr600 with year round aggressive riding on backroads? I ride all the way down 30*F, usually am no lower than 40*F, and rarely ride above 85*F.
The BT016s have been very good but I want to try something different.
I have a 2001 zx7r sport naked Street Fighter look with all the good reviews I have to have them on my bike
Rosso 3 is the best tire that will not break the bank imho i do 2x trackdays per month and i mostly ride mountain routes they are shitload of fun to use and will definitely stick like a glue without warming up

My favourite rapper brags about spending 4g's on Pirelli tires for his car so I decided to get Pirelli tires for my bike.
Does it seem like a workable mix having a rosso 3 front with a rosso sport rear on a ninja 300? Only ask as i just got new tyres at kawasaki, and thats what they installed

Love this tire on my Ninja H2. Got just over 6000 miles on the rear.
That's the exact info I was looking for on the rear. I've ran the Angel ST for a long time on my last two bikes, but now have a Ducati 1198 and I think I want something with more grip for the power it puts down. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on a tire that's only gonna last maybe 2,000 miles. So knowing you got 6,000 miles on an H2 pretty much seals the deal on these.
Were thrashing it through the twisties aswell or just highway.. How did it hold up? Cheers
@@breto88 A good mix of both, although this most recent set has been more highway. I still think they are an amazing tire. Once this second set is gone, I'll definitely be purchasing another set. Confidence at 💯
Running a the Michelin power rs on my 19zx6r. Stock size F120/70 R180/55
Looking to try these out next before the q3+. Question is. What difference would doing a 120/60 vs 120/70front do for me in terms of handling
Your front end would be lower, so you might have slightly twitchier steering. At the same time, you'd have slower turn-in. Better to stay with the stock tire sizes. -DrewZilla

How do these compare to the stock S-20's on an fz09? Im very happy with the grip of the S20 except for the short tire life. I ride mostly street, mountain roads with lots of twisty's .

what is the best rubber to put on the bmw s1000rr 2020?
Hello, I own a 2018 triumph speed triple RS. Although they are amazing on a hot dry day, the supercorsa sp's are not good enough in the wet for my kind of riding. I want to choose the best tyre for a 1500 mile tour in July without sacrificing too much grip and handling. I am stuck between this Rosso 3 and the Diablo rosso corsa 2? What are your thoughts please?? Thankyou...

I've always been a perilli guy but I put some Q3+ on my 2013 tuono v4 and I've been thinking about these tires I do a lot of city,highway and twisties so I'm debating on these or the Angel GT's and I've never had a problem with the angels in the past...recommendation?

The Rosso IIIs are all-around sport tires, while the Angel GT 2s are extended-mileage sport/touring tires. Both offer excellent grip for all-around street riding, but the Rosso III tires offer more grip for experienced riders pushing the limits. The Angel GT 2 tires still have plenty of grip for most riders while offering more tire life. For newer riders and those looking for better tire life, the Angel GT 2s are probably the better option. -DrewZilla

Too confused. Looking to change from my stock ones on RSV4 this time. More of Urban or weekend highway rides with a couple of track days thrown in here and there every 6 months. Riding in India with hot mostly round the year. Not a very aggressive riding style as well. What should be my choice M7 RRs or Diablo Rosso IIIs ? TY.

The Rosso IIIs offer more grip in exchange for a bit less tire life. Neither is better. It just depends on your riding style. For mostly city riding, I'd recommend the Pilot Road 4. -DrewZilla

For purely street riding, will there be an advantage going for the rosso 3 instead of the angel gt on an rsv4 factory? Are the tire profiles similar or is the angel gt "flatter"?
Most sport touring tires have a rounder, gentler profile-- but I don't find that to be the case for the Angel GT. They're both pretty snappy. You'll get a bit more dry grip out of the Rosso 3s, but less mileage. For everyday riding the Angel GT is the better choice I think-- if you commute or do trips at all, that's my recommendation. If it's more of a weekend / fun sort of thing, Rosso 3s will be better. -Kraus-e

The Pirellis don't have quite as much grip as the S20s, but they are still very good for canyons and all-around riding. If you want more life out of your tires without compromising too much grip, then these are a good option. -DrewZilla

Hey question, I'm on a 2014 Ninja 300 ABS, would love to put these on her. I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to do 120/60-17 (front) & 150/60'17 (rear) ? Or do 140/60-17 (rear). Is there any modifications needed if I go that size? Or should I play it safe with the stock size? I'm worried about effecting my control, cornering, and the flick around factor I'm grown accustomed to. Thanks guys in advance.
It's generally best to stick with the stock sizes to keep the handling from becoming sluggish. For a small bike like the Ninja 300, you want the narrower stock tire sizes for quicker handling. People sometimes go for the 150 rear...but only when the 140 isn't available. -DrewZilla

@@Supernova12034 on the SDR 1290 no tyre lasts long, Especially if you ride like a hooligan, Only got 3000ks out of my last rear tyre. If you ride like you value your life, they'll last alot longer.
I don't ride in the rain so no comment there, I only take my bike out if it's perfect riding weather. I don't commute on it.

I would be using these tyres primarily on the road with broken patches and a substantial amount of rainfall, but would love to go aggressive when the roads are dry.
Mileage isnt a criteria and focus is on grip for dry and specially during wet weather conditions

The Rosso IIIs are an evolution of the IIs. They have better dry grip, better wet grip, and provide a bit more tire life. -DrewZilla

For an RC200, you need a 110/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear. For your riding, I recommend the GPR300 tires. -DrewZilla

Looking to replace current tires. Riding ninja 650 and manual suggests Dunlop Roadsmart II. Not sure if I should get the same, upgrade to the Roadsmart III or give these Rosso III's a shot? Suggestions?

Thanks! I know its hard to gauge but can you give me a ballpark on estimated millage per tire? I would like to go with the Rosso III but i dont want to only get 3,000 mi if I can get the roadsmarts and have the tire twice as long. (general riding nothing beyond the regular no aggressive). Would the Rosso III get between 4-6k and the roadsmart III get like 5-7k?

I’m in Asia and monsoon season is approaching. I just bought a Duke 250 and would have purchased the M7RR for year round riding. But many on the Duke 390 message boards say that the 140/70/17 tire is better than the stock size 150/60/17, which would eliminate the M7RR. The theory is that the 150 is pinched on the rim and the fast riders on the RC390 have switched to 140 rear. I am uninterested in tire wear and don’t mind replacing them for the ultimate grip. I want to be able to have the minimum braking distance because of the crazy scooter riders. I will also carve up twisties and need the extra cornering power when a car comes around the blind corner five feet into my lane and I need to tighten the turn unexpectedly. Is it better to get tthe Rosso 3, Rosso 2, Michelin Road 5, RS, or Dunlop Q3+ in 140? Should I get one for the dry season and one for the wet season?
First, make sure you have the same tire model front and rear. Don't only change the rear. That being said, you could easily choose the Michelin Power RS or Dunlop Q3+ in a 140 for the best dry and wet grip. Again, just make sure that you change the front tire to match whichever rear you choose. -DrewZilla

They have more dry and wet weather grip than the Michelins, but the Michelins can last maybe 20-30% longer depending on your specific riding style. -DrewZilla
Hi Revzilla! I need to change my stock tyres and I´m all doubts. My fz8 runs a bridgestone bt021´s and I´ve heard wonders of these diablo rosso III. I´m looking for something that gives me more grip but also longevity. My driving is not agressive and seldom in wet conditions. Shoud I go for these rosso III or maybe Michelin Power 3 or Metzeler Roadtec 01? Thanks in advance. Keep on rocking

Honestly, both are really highly rated all-around sport tires, so it really comes down to personal preference. The Pirellis are slightly more V-shaped, while the Michelins are a bit more U-shaped in profile. It's only a slight difference in profile though. -DrewZilla

I have an FZ10 that I ride in all conditions, temps, etc., as well as long trips, high speeds, and high speed corners. I'm torn between these, PR4's, PP3's, and M7rr's. Any advice?
I'd actually recommend the Metzeler Roadtec 01s. They have the mileage of the PR4s with even better grip. The M7RRs will give even more grip but at the expense of longevity. The Rosso IIIs are good in the dry and have tire life between the M7RRs and the Roadtec 01s. -DrewZilla

I've got a FZ09 and ride every day the same as you. Recently just changed from PR4's to the Rosso IIIs. No doubt the Rosso IIIs have superior grip in the dry. Am yet to use the properly in the rain. The PR4s are a great tire though. I got 12,000kms out of mine before the cupping became an issue. I commute about 35 minutes a day on the highway which did that. Had no problems with scrapping pegs with the PR4s. Though the rear was a bit squirelly on the exit of a corners under gas.
STAY away from michilen pilot roads. I've been riding for 21 years, pilot roads are the ONLY tire I have ever high sided with, or even gone down on road for that matter. The M7RR lasts too long as well, about 8,000miles and a few burnouts and drag races on my hayabusa and still have 20% life left before wear bars. The M7RR however is also very predictable and GREAT in the rain as well as dry. I'm looking into the rosso corsa III as a replacement, but not if theyre any harder than the M7 which already wears like iron.
I ride year round, rain and occasional black ice, down to 15*. The M7rr Does just as well as the pilot road in bad conditions but better everywhere else, and no cupping! Fck pilot roads.

Yes definetly, ride them on my ZX14 {ZZR1400} excellent turn in and grip on these heavy bikes, massive faith in these.

In terms of grip, the Q3s have the most, followed closely by the M7RRs (better wet grip than the Q3s though), and then followed by the Rosso III Tires. The Rosso IIIs have the most tire life, whereas the Q3s have the least tire life. By harder rubber, are you referring to tire life and grip? These tires are designed to be a balance between long tire life and great grip. The Angel ST might last a bit longer but does not have as much grip as these tires. The Pilot Power 3 is similar to the Rosso III, but the Rosso III tires might last a bit longer. Comparing my Diablo Rosso III to other tires i have touched, DR 3 is like stone and other tires are like eraser. I don't know where and in what temperatures there was stored. I wonder if they are not just damaged by bad storing.

The S21 tires are more biased toward street and track riding, whereas the Rosso III tires are a bit more street-focused while handling the odd track day here or there. The Rosso III tires may last about twice as long as the S21 tires. -DrewZilla

how are these compared to the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas as far as longevity goes? i can barely get 3k miles on the rosso corsas and all i do is commute to work. i want the angel gts but i dont want to give up the stickiness. or deal with longer warm up time
Because most of your riding is commuting, I'm not surprised at the tire life. Most of your riding is in the center of the tire. The Rosso IIIs will probably get double the mileage, while the Angel GTs will probably get closer to 10k miles. -DrewZilla

Revzilla, i ride a k1300r. I ride quite hard on the street and I don't do trackways. I also carry a pillion quite often. The think is the bike is very powerful but weights 243 kilos wet. Will this tire work well or I will be better with angel gts A spec for heavier bikes...?!

C-Spec designates original equipment on the 2012 BMW S1000RR or so they claim, though here in the US I believe it came with 190/55ZR17 Metzeler Racetec K3 tires. It's possible there were different tires for different markets. For you, I think the Continentals will not be durable or reinforced enough for your bike and your riding. -DrewZilla

does the grip of the new rosso 3 lose out to corsa v2 by a big margin?

I haven't used the v2 but used the older, the edge grip on the rosso 3 feels the same as the super corsa. only thing I had with rosso 3 is a tiny bit of wheel spin, nothing major.
Unless you're riding really hard on the street or riding on the track, you likely won't notice a big difference in grip. The Rosso IIIs warm-up quicker and also work better than the Corsa tires at cooler temperatures. -DrewZilla

Yes, they'd be appropriate for the FZ-09. Reference your current tire sidewalls for proper sizes. I'm pretty sure your bike uses a 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear tire. -DrewZilla

Are these going to be any good in the wet ? I have a set of the corsa's on my triumph and there not so good in the wet.
Yes, the Rosso IIIs are definitely better than the Corsas in the wet while still providing great dry grip. You should also consider the Metzeler M7 RRs, which are excellent in the wet. -DrewZilla
