Thanks for the high quality review. I'm switching from the Supercorsa SP to the Rosso 4s, and immediately started regretting the choice after placing the order yesterday. But this video puts my mind at ease a bit when you're saying you can still ride on these at full lean and acceleration. I need a lot of grip for aggressive canyons and twisties, and even slipped for a milisecond here or there on the Supercorsas at full lean, so I have been really concerned about sacrificing grip. But the drive to the mountains on soft tires has been burning a hole in my wallet, as all of my Supercorsas have only gotten around 2200-2500 miles. Excited to try these out. I was about to switch my order, but I think I'll give these a try after all.
Time for a trailer? lol It seems so odd though to trailer a street legal bike...But I used to do it with my KTM 690 enduro cause the freeways not only destroyed the DOT knobbies but also were quite squirrelly (scarey!) on the freeway rain grooves! Not a trailer but a bumper rack actually...I dont laugh anymore at folks trailering their bikes to the place they want to ride it...I get it totally now
@@surflife247 I'm actually not happy with them. I could feel it start to slip when I was leaning around switchbacks and hairpins. Thought I was just being paranoid. I'm not saying my ability is beyond the tire, I'm saying the tire isn't grippy enough for my current ability. I just went for a quick little blast round the block on my new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV's and holy hell they feel like superglue on the road. amazing tyre.
Excellent review! I have been searching for a good balance for wet and dry grip tire,. Most reviews do not give real world feedback. Your review here helped me make up my mind on this tire. Living in Florida wet grip is a necessity. I am not going to pay what tires like the road 6 demand and lose performance in the dry. Again excellent and thank you.
I loved the S22s that came on my MT10 but they only lasted 600 rear and 1500 front. Then I mounted these same rosso 4s the rear was great while I fiished off the s22 front but when I finally put new rosso front on? Vague handling not flickable like the S22 front had been....but i read pirelli says much lower PSI that the Bstone AND they are taller profile so when it finally dries out here I will test with forks raised 5mm and PSI dropped way down (like from manuals 42/36 to maybe 38 rear? and 30 front? or less? Maybe that is all it is idk but so far? no good
I recommend the Pirelli SC3 as well. This is a hard compound tire, and they do NOT require tire warmers. They are specifically built for cooler weather.

Fyi - the 180/60 (standard fitment on the Streetfighter V2) is a dual compound tyre as well. As a comparison, I had Michelin Road 5s on my Street Triple & they were by far the best tyre I've ridden on in the wet, as well as being very grippy & confidence inspiring in the dry. I find the Rosso IVs on the Streetfighter don't give the same level of feedback & the tip in is very non-linear. You get to a point where you're getting close(ish) to the edge of the tyre & then it tends to just fall into the turn - whereas the Road 5 tip in was linear all the way to the edge. The "fall in" on the Rosso IV could be a product of the 60 profile, but I don't know because I haven't tried a 50 or 55 Rosso IV for comparison.
That’s Pirelli for you.. 😅 that aggressive V shape does require a different approach ride. Fast turn in, and hold… not so comfortable for slower manoeuvres (although i do like it for my Daytona) Michelins tend to be very round - harder to tip in, but very linear. Bridgestone, I feel is somewhere in between those two.
I just bought these because they were brand new and I got them for cheaper than the 3's but I couldn't find much info on them, Thank you for making this video super helpful! I'll be swapping my 180/55 for a 190/55 to get the 5 zone layout that I had no idea about until you mentioned it lol

angel gt 2 warms up way faster than this damn tire. I put this on thinking it will be even better than the GT soon as i take off. The bike was like SIKE better wait another 20 mins. Angel GT 1 and 2 is way more stable on 40-50 degree weather
I believe you were trying to say that this tyre sits in between the diablo ROSSO 3 and diablo ROSSO CORSA 2. But in the video's later part you said it is has more grip than 3 but not as aggressive as the 2, people might confuse this as diablo ROSSO 2, the prev gen of this same tyre.
I ride a z900 as well , wondering if you stuck with the 180/55/17 or went with the 190? I know the z has a 5.5 inch wide rear wheel so could you run the 190 to get the benefit of the 5 compounds?
I was using the Pirelli TD tire which needs to be properly warmed up--it's actually rated 95% track and 5% street so that was all on me, I went full send/retard mode into the 2nd corner on completely cold tires.
@@mototribe1644 okey i was also wondering. I May go from michelin power gp to the new pirelli rosso corsa 4. It go ride fast on roads and smaller tracks. Slicks when on real tracks. Pirelli rosso corsa 4 seems spot on for my riding. Feels little scary to change brand. Michelin power gp is so Secure in Every way, but its a very round tire so not so sharp handling. Bless u:)
I'll let you know. Just ordered a set of IV's for my 2011 1000sx. Normally run road 5's but no longer my daily rider and was looking for tires more suited for weekends up Angeles Crest.
honestly I feel that's not really a fair comparison because they aren't in the same spectrum. I'd assume you would get more mileage out of those Road 5s, but performance wise the rosso 4s are way sticker in my experience. ~Red
@@juanesteban8938 The rosso IV's were good but finally landed on rosso corsa II's. Just finished riding a pair of IV corsa's which are really good but takes a second to get used to the front tire feel. At low speeds around town, feels like you're about to lose the front.
Well, I guess I'm going to try them. I rode the rosso corsa 1 and the diablo rosso 3. Both are great tires on summer days, but if the temperatures go below 16°C and it's a bit wet they lose a lot of grip. Which I didn't notice with Michelin road and power 5, or even with the contisportattack4. Still it's a hard decision... corsa 2 or diablo 4 .
The rosso 4 is a better tire than the corsa 2 and the rears give more grip. I know it's counterintuitive to pirellis range, but I've switched my bikes over to rosso 4 in place of the corsa 2s that my friends and I have been running. To me, in sizes 190 and above, the rosso 4 feels like an updated corsa 2 instead of a rosso 3.
@@corbinroy4851 Did you test both tires on track or on the streets. Probably the Corsa 2 will be better on track, because it is a 50/50 track tire. The Diablo 3 and 4 are 90 % road tires. Which means it can not handle a lot of trackday heat cycles, perhaps 2 trackdays max and the rubber will lose a lot of quality compared with the Corsa 2. But for streets the Diablo 3 and 4 will probably be better. Especially the 4 with all the silica in it.
@@Striple exactly all that! I run the Corsa 2 on my sportbike on the street and absolutely love it, I did track it but at a fast intermediate level I started pulling apart the compounds because it's where I get on the gas. however not once did the tire slip and stuck like glue.
@@mototribe1644 which do you think warms up quickest for street use, the Rosso IV or the Corsa II? I had Rosso III's on my Ducati and low sided it on cold tires in a corner. @@MrFeuerlee you won't be disappointed. Faultless in wet. Warm up quickly. Managed 3000 miles out of a rear and for me that's great. Good tyre and I've never been a pirelli man. May be worth holding out for the rosso 4 Corsa ??
I’m satisfied with S22s (used 3 sets of them) Good profile, Good grip in dry & wet, fast to heat up. But if you don’t ride a lot of twisties (or go high speed on straight highways often), I would suggest getting something slightly harder in the centre. I’ve used bridgestone for years, but now I’m trying michelin power 5 (even softer than the S22)
@@saifaldin_ I went with the Diablo Rosso Corsa 4 and wow best tyre I’ve had! Also not bad in winter and wet. But for winter the road5’s are the better option. I will try the S22’s next summer to just give a fair chance. I had s21 on my RR and hated them.
@@yodomcat I’d say S22 was much improved compared to S21. Wet grip on S21 will go down faster compared to S22 (the last 20% felt especially weak) But you won’t know until you’ve tried them yourself (different riding style and conditions) Maybe you’ll come to hate the S22 as well 🤣 Personally, I love the handling.. not too steep, not too flat. Really Jealous, would love to ride the roads in your area, I live in the south of England, apart from a few exceptions the roads are pretty crappy.... and don't get me started on the levels of traffic. I'm looking forward to finding similar tire like this one... my last Rosso 4 was an amazing 5000km on the rear tire... if u had any tips and suggestions on similar tires let me know... cheers
My 23 MT10 came with BStone S22 which I truly loved but the rear was gone at 600miles to the wear bars including break in! (all twisties) I wrongly squeezed 300 more miles out of the rear trying to do 1000miles which was hopelss and there is like NOTHING left of the tire now off the bike (yes I kept the thing as a conversation piece lol) it is just a floppy thin carcase with virtually no meat left! Amazed ut supported tge bike ar speed! I can not believe I risked those final miles it was that stupid! Anyways I finally replaced just the rear with a new pirelli diablo rosso 4 and it worked great with the OEM S22 fron at factory recommended 42/36 even! ! no problem so at 1500miles when the s22 front was finally ALSO toast (looks like a KNIFE blade or wedge now bald on the sides but could likely go thousands more miles on a straight highway.without many turns...wierd huh? Again this was ALL twisties wear) Okay so at 1500 miles on this new bike I now also replaced the front with the same rosso 4 pirelli diablo tire. Immediately The bike feels weird to me and not flingable confidence inspriting like the S22 front WAS ...Thi front tire is significantly taller profile (rear tii irugubakk Im sure) so I tried raising the forks in the tree 5mm (middle line) (dropping front 5mm) and that did seem to help some/ a little....then it rained and rained and rained so I have not been back out. BUT I found a pirelli chart that says these tires ought to be run at WAY lower psi than Yamaha had me running the S22s which was 36 front and 42 rear...Pirelli says the front s/b like mid 20s PSI cant recall now! 25 psi? idk So maybe it is simple as too high pressure? When it dries out some more I will try em several psi lower than "normal" Maybe Ill start wirh 36 rear and 28 front and just see if that helps? Anyone have similar experience? My friend with a z900 HATED the Rosso 4 tires had but I dont know WHICH Rossos he meant...he replaced em "before they were half worn out" said hw xouls not trust em? But are all the variants of Rossos even similar to each other at all?
I typically run 34.5 in front and 30 rear when I'm planning on doing more aggressive in the twisties. If I'm traveling somewhere more on the highway I'll bump the rear to 36psi. These are cold temps fyi. ~Red
hey! nope i did not experience any slippage as long as the tire was warmed up and on dry pavement. I don't ride as aggressive on the street as I do on track but trail braking is definitely not a problem--these have plenty of grip! as for my camera setup I use the Insta360 OneX2 cam--it's been amazing! great 360 camera: store.insta360.com/product/one_x2?insrc=INRA94L
Looks like a good tire. I have had great luck with Rosso 3's and Super Corsa's... The SC barely lasted 1800 miles for the rear, and the Rosso 3 only a bit more. Might have to check out the new Rosso 4...

@@redspaderacing I run Q3+ on my ZX6R because I do the occasional track day on that bike... But the Z900RS I am willing to try different tires.
Bless u:)
Awesome tire's
What 360 camera are you using? It’s perfect !

That was a awesome review. Thanks. I’m about to fit some Corso 2s to my ZRS. Sticky Sticky?
I need to clarify. I’m planning on the Diablo Rosso Corsa 2🤷♂️
Love how you owned your mistake!
What tire did u loose grip with? How cold was it?
One of the finest review 👍. Michelin road 5 vs diablo rosso 4 which one are the best?
I'll let you know. Just ordered a set of IV's for my 2011 1000sx. Normally run road 5's but no longer my daily rider and was looking for tires more suited for weekends up Angeles Crest.
honestly I feel that's not really a fair comparison because they aren't in the same spectrum. I'd assume you would get more mileage out of those Road 5s, but performance wise the rosso 4s are way sticker in my experience.

@@mototribe1644 any updates on the 4’s?
@@ebroebro1how did you end up liking the IVs?
Obviously a learning experience to make sure the tires are warm, but a faster warming tire would be ideal. Thanks for the video
@@corbinroy4851 Did you get a chance to test the tires? I have the Rosso 3's under my Monster 821 and considering to replace them with Road 6's, instead of Rosso 4's. What do you think?
Hi!@MotoTribe What size you used on your Z900?
These tyres are FCUKing brilliant
how many miles did you get in total? I have used the diablo 2s before they were good. Then got angel gts. i loved it. Then got angel gts but hated them bc the new design in the front tire made bike unstable on grooved roads. So im contomplateing between the rosso 3-4 or dunlops q3+. I dont ride in the wet at all.
Would you ever track these tires? I have a 2020 z900 and Ive been running q3+s for years on my old zx10 at the track. I now only have the 900 and I want to eventually get it on the track. Would they hold up to intermediate pace?
Go for the Corsa IIs They even last fairly well. I have them on my Busa and it just made a world of difference from the Dunlops.
i just got these for my R3. excited to see how well they do in rainy conditions. my GPR300s sucked in the rain. i only got 7k out of them, by the time the tread was low and the rainy weather started i was slipping my rear tire, happened on the highway once 😨
Hi how about the tires? Do you like it? Because I want to rosso 4 for my Mt 03 thanks!
what about the carcass? I HATED rosso 3 hard carcass. It get too "jumpy" in bad roads.
I like more the rosso 2 and the Rosso corsa 2 or the Supercorsa sc3 feeling wich has a SOFT carcass that cope bad roads, giving more surface area, more stability, more CONFORT since it provide WAY LESS UNECESSARY FEEDBACK than rosso 3 and off course, GIVE BETTER GRIP.
I have an R6 and ride it in a rather sporty style on the Bridgestone s22 and I love them. Wondered if you have ridden them before and can tell me about the differences of the s22 and the rosso4?
Ridden on both and the rosso is so much better 👌 front end feel is unreal
@@olliesearle9752 on what bike did you ride them? I am a little surprised, as I had the Rosso3 before and thought the s22 was a massive step up.
S1000 BMW. Yeah the 3 wasn't great. Ran power 5 and m9rr on gsxr and I really do think the rosso 4 is best of the bunch
@@olliesearle9752 hm... right, thank you, I might give it a try..?
@@MrFeuerlee you won't be disappointed. Faultless in wet. Warm up quickly. Managed 3000 miles out of a rear and for me that's great. Good tyre and I've never been a pirelli man. May be worth holding out for the rosso 4 Corsa ??
6:35 of video footage and talking but you fail to state the tire size you are reviewing 🤔
Thx, i ordered it..👍🤗
Thanks for the review, much appreciated! Do you have any experience with the S22's as I am torn between these two.
Me too..
Me to 😅
I’m satisfied with S22s (used 3 sets of them) Good profile, Good grip in dry & wet, fast to heat up.
Wet grip on S21 will go down faster compared to S22 (the last 20% felt especially weak)
But you won’t know until you’ve tried them yourself (different riding style and conditions) Maybe you’ll come to hate the S22 as well 🤣
Personally, I love the handling.. not too steep, not too flat. Roundish, with a slight tinge of eagerness..
anyone in the UK have these tyres? what are they like in the cold/wet?
Hey thanks for the info on the Rosso IV. I'm definitely going to give them a try. BTW the twisties you were riding on looks really fun. any suggestions for the some twisties closer to Atlanta.
hmm, good question, unfortunately I don't know of any closer to ATL but coming up to the mountains here is definitely worth the ride. maybe plan a weekend getaway and stay in the are for a weekend, I tend to do that when I go ride in TN and NC :)

@@mototribe1644 The road up from Dillard to Highlands and down to Cashiers is a blast. I’m not convinced Deals gap is any better.🤪
@@gatorguida4483 Deals Gap is definitely better. Blood Mountain is good, but not as good as the Dragon.
Hi, can you please tell me tha the model dainese suit. Cheers.
Thinking of putting corsa 2 frt w rosso4 rear.
Why is it so hard to find English reviews on these tyres?
I ride a Ducati 1098 and having a hard time choosing between the Rosso II, III, and IV. Can you give me your thoughts? I live in Southern California and don’t ride in wet weather. I mainly ride straight, so longevity is important to me, but I also want to be able to cut in hard on curves without worrying I’ll slip. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Sounds like you need a more touring oriented tyre with a dual compound. Have a look at the pirelli angel gts
Angel GT II, Bridgestone T31, Michelin Pilot 5s
how many miles have they lasted so far
While I love the detail of your experiance with the Rosso IV but I cant help but love the footage of Blood Mountain. Cant wait to get back to North GA. New Sub. 🤙
Really Jealous, would love to ride the roads in your area, I live in the south of England, apart from a few exceptions the roads are pretty crappy.... and don't get me started on the levels of traffic. O too am a fan of the DR3 and even more so the DR4, I'm also really liking the michelin power GP's. Nice video. Cheers. Matt
Why are you comparing these ones with any DR corsa? Corsa is a lvl up then comes the super corsa. These are just DRs.
I'm looking forward to finding similar tire like this one... my last Rosso 4 was an amazing 5000km on the rear tire... if u had any tips and suggestions on similar tires let me know... cheers
The Dunlop Roadsport 2 is also nice.
Bridgestone S22 is on the same level
What about the Michelin Power 5's????
How do they compare to Dunlop q3+.
Q3+ is king
What tire pressure are you using?
I typically run 34.5 in front and 30 rear when I'm planning on doing more aggressive in the twisties. If I'm traveling somewhere more on the highway I'll bump the rear to 36psi. These are cold temps fyi.

Great review. Thanks for your feedback. Did you experience is slip on hard braking whilst tipping in?
Also, what Camera system are you running?
hey! nope i did not experience any slippage as long as the tire was warmed up and on dry pavement.
Might have to check out the new Rosso 4...
definitely give it a try! if you liked the III then you'll definitely like this one more :) it's not a supercorsa grip wise but I've honestly had no grip issues with it yet 2k miles in.
@@redspaderacing I run Q3+ on my ZX6R because I do the occasional track day on that bike... But the Z900RS I am willing to try different tires. I have about 4500 miles on a set of Pilot Road 5's and I am amazed at the grip on them. I am a big guy and ride a lot in the GA Mtns where you do, and I ride like I am at a track day much of the time. Never felt them slip, and with 4500 miles on them I still have probably another 1,000 to go...
When they need replacing I might try the R4. How is the profile? Round and flatter like the Pilot Road 5, or more peaky like the Q3+?
@@redspaderacing how far are this rosso 4 of the rosso corsa 2 in performance? And against s22? Currently I am on the s22, good tires but very poor mileage..
@@SquireSCA they have more of a peak profile, all of the Pirelli performance tires definitely have a nice peak for more aggressive tip in.
@@redspaderacing Cool, I might try a set soon... I have Q3+ on the R1 and Pilot Powers on the Z900RS, but I may give them a try next time around...
Milage?
What is better supercorsa sp or rosso 4??
i believe the supercorsa will be more for performance while the rosso 4 will be for longevity.
Supercorsa SP for the track and Rosso 4 for the street.
@@DarR1299 Otherwise, I drive Supercorsa v2 sp on the street, but after about 4000 km they are ready to be replaced. I wonder if this tire will last longer on the road and give at least the same performance as Supercorsa?
@@davidskrlin6310 I've had two pairs of Supercorsa's SP: One pair on a Pani 959 and the other on the Monster 1200R. They sure did not last long on the Monster. The 959 originally came OEM with Corsa 2's which have been superseded with Rosso IV Corsa. I suspect the Rosso iV would be similar to the older Corsa 2's which at the time were the middle ground between the Rosso III's and the SC SP's.. I'm looking forward to finding out.
Have you ever ridden on Angle GT's, how do the Rosso 4's compair. I love my GT's and have done several track days with them, but now I'm doing more of them I was thinking maybe Rosso 3's, but then heard of these 4's. So keen to know how they compair against the GT's.
i personally have never ridden the Angel GTs, they are more of a touring tire and not performance--surprised you did trackdays on them. I mean i did trackdays on touring tires years ago when I started but they quickly got too greasy and didn't provide the grip nor confidence I needed. also personally i think the rosso 4 is way more superior to the 3. i never liked the 3.
