This is my favourite version precisely because of that little hiccup followed by David giggling... I always giggle with him. "Fucks up", laughs, and delivers a kick-ass solo. Precious!
Yeah, those little details are precisely where you can spot his geniusness; I saw back in 1994's last PF tour where towards certain "uncomfort moments" like a guitar's broken string or it going totally out-of-tune, he returning right after with incredible new improvisations where much of the times it resulted in an even better piece than the original/standard, as if he were compensating the crowd for the "issue". David is unique, we're lucky enough to be contemporary to him. Cheers and thank you for taking part.
I always thought he was laughing because he didn’t tell the band he was going to play this song. So Rick already knew what was going on, but Guy had to teach everyone else had to play it on the fly.
And forgive me I should’ve watched the whole video before I commented. 🤦♂️
I didn’t know he played this on the on an island tour. What a wonderful surprise this is!
David Gilmour is awesome even when he gets the words wrong. What am incredible musician.
David is God, no more no less. Cheers and have a happy 2023!
@@TheForce_Productionsbest guitarist ever imo
if you show somebody a still image of a fat old balding dude holding a guitar and tell them that’s the greatest guitarist to ever live they’ll probably laugh at you. then he starts playing….
Sometimes music, politics and war are often spoken in one sentence, it's a knife edge topic as careers can be broken more easily than made, I'm a pacifist 100% if I was in the position of any world renowned and hugely appreciated and successful musician I'd be sweating like mad and no doubt BLOOD PRESSURE skyrocket.. Brave people always engage their grey matter extremely carefully!!!! before engaging their views, opinions and so much more!!!
Good and worthwhile cause, performance not quite as slick as usual, but a blinding solo from David.
Sure, this performance is very special because it was like an improvisation with no rehearsals at all, which took all the band members as an unexpected journey, you can see them bitching by the sides lol; and also was the last time for this song for Rick & David as well. Cheers!
@@TheForce_Productions Love Rick's WTF and thumbs up😂
Absolutely funny and lovely yeah!
GRANDE DAVID GILMUOR AMOOO OUVIR VOCÊ CANTAR ❤❤❤❤❤
... and I saw this one too! Me and my wife at 15 meters from David Gilmour and Rick Wright! Awesome evening and awesome job you did!!
Due respect..I do envy you...listening Pink Floyd first time at the tender age of 14...now I'm 59 years old..and having tears just for writing to your comment..(life has not be easy for me),sorry for my grammar 😢
VIVA... VIVA....VIVA David Gilmuor!!! Bjs!😘👑👑👑
He is trying not to laugh, but fails. Nice to see he can accept goofups.
Que bueno es este tio
Lindo! Lindo! Lindo!!!!!!!
DAVID GILMOUR LINDOO AMO OUVI-LO CANTAR ♥️🌟♥️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Hello my friend! How are you doing? An excellent improvisation, isn't it? Only a music legend and accompanied by incredible musicians would be possible. Thank you very much for the work of improving the sound. Take care of yourself!! 😉
Hey Fer, always nice to see you over here! Sure, this is an amazing document about David and his musicians skills, they performed the song better than most of tribute bands who do rehearsal it day after day. There's even a moment near the end of the song where David is soloing meanwhile is talking to Steve and Rick to the stage's backside, no words! Take care you too and cheers my friend!
@@TheForce_Productions Take care friend!!
❤
With no rehearsals is hard for anyone. Cheers!
This is the worst version from this song, but stills feels appeticiable... but in Delicade sound of thunder, PULSE, Venice parade, he plays like a god with all the PinkFloyd muscle, the singing girls, the added guys to perform (like this ones that were there some of them) , ...
I know some of them dont play that song ... but i think they should play at hosue a little more that song before standing up ther...
But stills feelts great look David... even if he is failing a little XD
This performance was an unexpected surprise for the band just to help Emergency in it's cause just as David explain it in the edition I've added to it, the band didn't played that song from 1994 and some of the guys like Phil or Steve never played it live (nor rehearsal it). By the other hand, they all played it 1000000000 times in between rehearsals and tours back then, so what they less would want is to play it at home just to relax is their own thing, in fact it's all opposite, it doesn't work like that my friend... Cheers and thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the great effort, cheers!
Glad you've enjoyed it, thank you for stopping by over here!
Great thanks fore this video
Thanks for your job!
@@TheForce_Productions muchas gracias Obi!!! Sos un maestro
Ótimo trabalho, great job!
Great.
Awesome
Do you know if there exists a studio high quality version of his "The great gig in the sky" performances from that tour?
Hello there. You mean from 2006 or 2015? From 2006 I can't remember they performed TGGITS live (anyway I'll dig my archive), but it did performed in their 2015. You have a quality version from Pompeii for example, with a male voice for the first time with Bryan Chambers, can't remember another right now but I'll check it and come back to you.
2006, May 30th and 31st, apparently.
Oh yes you're right but I'm not sure about the quality of the footage. I'll check it and tell you.
Even if it's audio only, it would be nice.
Alright, I'm on it. Give some time and will be back to you.
Always and forever xXx
Amen! 👁🙏👁
@@TheForce_Productions hallo
Hi there Debra, did you enjoyed this?
@@TheForce_Productions absolutely, anything and everything he does
Music needs more people like David & Co nowdays, listening today's music makes you feel so lonely...
I manually edit second by second every soundtrack I rework, there are so much details there; add sound effects, ambience, crowd and sometimes others as well and also Re-EQ them, it's a long and meticulous process of test and error, some tracks have took me mounts. Cheers!
@@TheForce_Productions I do understand this, about a month ago family went to eat, 27 year old p/up and I had to listen at his choice of music, R.A.P. with more profanity, no lyrics no musical direction, sounds like a bunch of dissonant sound to me, when arriving at destination we had to wait so I told him to listen to my music, put on another brick in the wall pt 2, pulse concert, the blank stare he gave it, yeah they r ok, frightening! I pray for the future of real music man am I paranoid or huh? Lol
Lol, I can imagine it. Believe it or not over here there's things worst than rap as reggaeton for name just one. John Lennon was pretty right when stated : "We're the reflex of the music we listen".
@@TheForce_Productions understood when he made that declaration, I love reagge, like bro Bob, Tosh, B. Wailer, Burning Spear but the majority of it is as bad as POP music, catch, full of fluff and drivel, I much prefer deeper, meaningful stuff the stuff that stays with you forever kinda like D. Gilmour and P.F.
Sure, but you need to keep in mind that we as persons have different musical needs depending of the times of our life, and that's normal. When you are a teenager you tend to stick yourself more to certain styles, different from other ages since you also see everything in life differently. Anyway choices today are less than limited, the only good option is to dig in the past. Where are you from?
