Why judge or question anyone about the amount they read? I personally average around 120 books a year (audio and physical combined) and get people asking the “do you actually remember any of them”-question a lot. Yes I do. Everyone reads at a different pace and has different lives. Just let everyone do their own thing
EXACTLY 👏🏻
Dam do you have any good recommendations of a horror book
Also have you read " it " i wanna know if its good or not and sos for yapin
Wow...That's awesome.
love your earrings, also these recs are amazing. I didnt realize horror and anxiety go hand and hand explains me and my sister.
Thank you 🖤 it really does explain so much haha
Added many of these books to my TBR. Also subscribed to your channel. I've been looking for the perfect horror book for me and haven't found it yet so thank you.
Thank you so much and good luck!! 🤞🏻
I’ve read the majority of these books (I read exclusively horror haha) and loved them! I still need to get to A Certain Hunger and Man Made Monsters!! Also love your earrings!!
Thank you so much 😊 I hope you love them when you get around to reading those 2!
Your cat in the background is awesome.
Great list! I"m happy to see several here that are on my shelves but I haven't read yet. I also want to reread the first 2 Jade Daniels to get ready for the finale.
Yay I hope you enjoy them 😁 Can’t wait for the Jade Daniels finale, he better not hurt our girl
I love Uzumaki. I've added Man Made Monsters to my wish list. It Came from the Closet is such a great book. OMG, yes! House of Hunger! This book made my top ten reads of 2023. I also loved The Hollow Places. Pet Sematary is definitely a book that sticks with you. Huge love here for Jade and The Indian Lake Trilogy! I love that Shirley Jackson made your top ten list. I read A Certain Hunger at the beginning of this year & it will definitely be in my top ten reads of 2024. I'm so excited to have found your channel. I subscribed and look forward to watching more of your content.
I LOVE your taste in books 🥰 welcome!!
Ohhh i havnt read most of these! Added most of them to my TBR!
Yay! I hope you find something you love!
I havent read a horror book in a very long time but you sold me on these! Gonna try them out soon!
YAY! Which one are you going to read first 👀
@@AlexisFullyBooked my phone actually messed up so I didn't see that you replied! Sorry about that! But i think ill go big with A Certain Hunger! I think I'll really like it!
Love this list! Great variety and many of my favorites too : ) - Shannon
Yay! Thank you!
I feel the same on American Psycho, but Maeve Fly did it so much better!!! And god, I'm glad I didn't have to reread that rat scene actually on page 💀
Yes!!! As soon as I saw it coming I was cringing, I’m so happy with the way Maeve Fly did it
Yesssss It Came From the Closet!! Chlorine!!!! Stephen Graham Jones!! Jade is amazing, my absolute favourite character. and Hill House!!! What a great list of favs ❤ have you read the PTSD Radio manga series? So scary, so good
I did read the first volume, it was so good!!! I need to get around to the next 2 soon!
Thanks for the recommendations! I’m a new subscriber
Welcome! 🩷 thank you sm
surprised to see no clive barker
So, many of my favourites on this list ❤
Yesss you have great taste 🔥😉
I found my people 😊🙌🏻 immediately putting all of these on my TBR 🖤
🥹 I’m so excited for you to read them 🖤
Thanks for this video and your excellent reviews. I got a lot of great new reads to consider.
Thank you!
Pet Sematary all the way, I just ordered the hard cover copy of the one you have in the video, I used to have a soft cover many years ago but lost it from traveling around different states.
Loved the video! Subscribed!
Thank you SM 🥰
Thank you for this list.
My pleasure! I hope you find a new favorite from it 🖤
Sad I seem to be the only one who mostly likes monster horror books, all the lists I find on youtube are mostly about psychological horror or slashers or ghosts, I just wanna see some cool monsters tear people apart 😭😭😭
That being said, the ones with the mermaids are cool, so Im gonna check them out. Also a huge Junji Ito fan, got his amazing artbook and all
Also I was wondering if you were getting haunted by a poltergeist but then I saw the cat hushing around in the background and it explained everything lol
Read Bloom :)
Cool list! Cheers!
Thanks for watching! 🥰
I don't know why I am here my 'to be read' list is already a mile long but after seeing your great taste in horror reading I have just added 'Man made monsters' and 'The Hollow places' 🤣 Also Into the Drowning deep is such a good book! I was surprised with how much I loved it as I grabbed it at the library just based on the cover (real magpie behaviour). If you like body horror I would highly recommend 'The Troop' by Nick Cutter and if you like occult stuff 'Hex' by Thomas Olde Heuvelt. I think it has the single best premise in horror books. That being said horror movies are my expertise not books so you have already likely read both of these!
I have read The Troop but wasn’t a fan! Really just because of the animal cruelty scenes. Hex is on my TBR though, I’ve heard great things!
@@AlexisFullyBooked that's fair there are some pretty extreme scenes. Hex is phenomenal I hope you like it and I shall keep an eye out for your review 😀
Over 200 books last year? If a normie reads one a month, they're an avid reader. One a week, and they're a booktuber. But you averaged 4 a week? Are you even enjoying what you're reading? Retaining anything? Whatever. Oh, BTW, good reviews. Nice list. Good luck growing your channel. I subscribed.
Haha I have no other hobbies, just books. But thank you! 🥰🥰
I think they include audio books as reading also.
@@gorditaermosacatalana9243 I sure do because audiobooks = reading. “in a study published in the Journal of Neuroscience, researchers from the Gallant Lab at UC Berkeley scanned the brains of nine participants while they read and listened. . . Looking at the brain scans and data analysis, the researchers saw that the stories stimulated the same cognitive and emotional areas, regardless of their medium.”
I easily read 600 pages books in 24 hours, just finished holly by stephen king which I find very lingering and hard but I retained very well and couldn't let it go until I found out the ending
@AlexisFullyBooked I definitely agree. I like audio books as well. Only when I'm driving, though, cus I can't at home I zone out lol. I
the top books I wanna read from this list is definitely the hollow places and it came from the closet. I had no idea hill house was so different...so it's not even about the family? just people looking for ghosts??😮
Yes!!! They’re not even related in the book!
The plot of the last one is disturbing and sparked scenes in my imagination. She's had everything except manflesh.
Just finished Brother last night from Ania Ahlborn and wow I def recommend if you have not read.
I have!!! It’s a good one!
you should read deliver me by elle nash!! i think you'd enjoy
Thanks! I’ll check it out 😊
Glad to find you
Thank you so much 🥹
your voice is very milwaukee
Haha I’ve never been told that nor have I ever been there!
You make up reasons they seem like good reasons but mostly you do it because once you've been up there it's your place and you belong to it in the pet semetary and beyond
