    Excellent instruction and presentation. Nice, slow, and simple. Right up my alley.
    The only problem I had was getting that E6-B into the Cessna 152 . . . I had to get rid of my CFI.

    7/7 headed to 31/31. Answer for E6B: time: 1.25 hr, speed: 96 knots, WCA: 6 degrees left, fuel burn: 18.8 gal. In my ‘47 Champ, hand prop, the E6B is the most sophisticated piece of equipment on board! Love Old School! Great exercise!

      I did mine on my CRP-1 (UK version of an E6B) and i got a very similar result.
      Flight Time: 75 minutes
      GS: 96
      WCA: -4
      Required Fuel: 18.7

    Jason, I got my PPL last July. I never fully understood the E6B. This video alone helped me more than anything else. Because of this one video, I have decided to choose MZeroA for my instrument training.

    I've been struggling with the steps on the E6B (as I'm studying for my Knowledge Test before I start school) but this really solidified how to do it, plus I learned how to do fuel burn.

    WCA = -4 degrees left
    FB = 18.2gal

    Glad that my answer seems to be similar to the ones already present. Definitely needed this for help with the E6B (trying to get all my resources as I can reviewed to best understand this thing before I think of doing the electronic version).

    I was going to get an electronic e6b but I can't see myself paying $80-$90 for something that my metal rotating e6b can do. This video helped me alot in learning how to use it properly

    Can you calculate fuel burn in litres rather than gallons or do you have to calculate in gallons then convert to litres?

    I found the wind direction side of E6B to be handy. Everything on the backside can be solved with very basic math faster than the E6B can solve it.

    Jason would like to see you do a video on the E6B with the following problem. Altitude to lose 4000 feet. Planned decent rate: 700 fpm. Groundspeed 122 kts. time to descend, feet per nautical mile to descend and distance to start descent. This all can be done on an E6B.

    On my home-made, paper printed E6B (which is somewhat resonably accurate) I got:
    T= 74 minutes
    GS= 98kts
    Wind correction -7 (hdg= 264 degr)
    fuel = 19Gallons

    I think that E6B sort of grows on you (pun intended?). It sort of appeals to my visual-oriented mind.
    Though i've never really understood how slide rules do their magic. I understand it has something to do with adding/subtracting of logs. But it still seems like magic to me.

    Hi Jason,
    Unrelated, but do you find some of your flying habits improving your driving habits? If so, you might consider doing a short video on that. If nothing else it would help aspiring pilots bide their time until they can start flight training. (Most of us don't have a plane and field at our house so we need to safely get to the airport for our favorite hobby. Just a thought :)
