- m0a.com There are plenty of apps that can do this for us instantly. Yet on a checkride chances are your examiner is going to want to see you do it the old fashioned way so you can show your work. In this video I show you how to fill out a weight and balance form.
Excellent! Simple to follow..as an 71 yr old "student pilot" I need all the help I can get. YOU TUBE is a great source of pilot training information. It is a great follow up to any ground school or even flight training event. These videos allow you to observe, stop and think and absorb. They make the learning process a lot easier!!!! Thank you Jason and others for taking the time and effort to put these invaluable tools together.....Pete Warenski
@@billt3561And you both inspire me. I am 43 years old and I was on and off due to financial situations but I never stop thinking about getting it. I get back sometime this month but I will need to repeat the maneuvers for the check ride preparation. Hopefully things goes well to all of us. Happy holidays to you future pilots…
I would agree, I'm a 71 year old woman, horrible at math and story problems. Best explanation yet. Thanks.
@@aguinaldomota2875hope you passed chief
Passed my written! And I am preparing for my check ride in the near future. Thank you Sir!
You're probably a pilot now so tell me how do I find the arm or moment of the basic empty weight?
@@FatherofOrpheus Take the basic empty weight X Arm = Moment (POH should have the Weight and Arm for you)
yooo you seriously broke this down... thanks homie!!!
Thank you Jason.
You are a great teacher and motivator. God Bless you and your family.
Your method was far easier to understand than others on here. I’ve been watching this for a half hour with other videos and I got it within about eight minutes on yours. Good job and thank you.
I just sat through a class in ground school covering take-off data cards and Jason’s explanation was much easier to follow
My instructor landed (no pun intended) a job with the airlines and started flaking on me. I've found out there's a lot they neglected to teach me, including weight and balance. This video really helped me figure it out.
I am an airline pilot and have over 17000 hours. This was a great review for me. Well done and thank you!
Excellent! Struggled with this for a while. Very straightforward and helpful! God bless you!
Mzero is always an interesting RUclips refresher.
A good pilot learned his stuff, a great pilot is always learning.
Very well said
Very well explained Jason, weight&balance made easy :)
Thank you, Jason for taking the time to explain this. Your extra effort is much appreciated.
It's our pleasure to help you become the best pilot you can.
Discovered that I lost my electronic E6B just before my flight lesson and desperately needed a refresher on calculating weight and balance - this video really saved my bacon!
Thank you so much for your excellent videos. You are a part of what makes RUclips such a valuable resource.
Peace.
Thank you Jason, I endorse Jeff Ferguson for the first time I have a better understanding of weight and balance calculations.
Once again thank you for advancing aviation knowledge
This made understanding this difficult topic a lot easier and specifically easier for my type of learning. Thank you!
You remind me of Kevin from the television series, Monk. Kevin was one of my favorite characters! Great Video, thank you!
Best weight and balance video on RUclips. Confusing topic made simple. Outstanding!
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
Cant wait to meet you on the video presentation in a few weeks up here in the Adirondacks. I turn 16 in a few weeks so Ill be able to solo and you have helped me learn so much over the past few years!
Your style of teaching is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much you're genuinely really helping me. 👊
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I am doing the paperwork side of my first Biannual flight review ,this helped a lot.
Cheers
And happy New year
Your videos helped me with all of my ratings. I’m still here watching as a CFI now, learning how to teach these things in the same simple way you taught me! Thanks a lot Jason
Awesome! Thanks for watching and being a part of the MzeroA Nation!
Finally a video not computer generated talking, great instruction, great Job thanks,
Yeah, agree with other comments, best W&B video I've found. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your efforts.
Great refresher for those of us who always fly the same plane and have not done this in a while, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
I struggle with weight and balance from private through commercial knowledge test this has been one of those simplest and most precise explanations that I’ve ever heard of how to calculate weight and balance . Thank you Jason!
Great video, long time Iv hadn’t w&b the old way. Cleared it up
to me , safe flights. Great knowledge there , thanks
Amazing video, I am working to get my PPL as a high schooler and this really made weight and balance stick for me.
This was an absolutely incredible video and VERY well explained.

Getting back to basics is always a good thing, especially if automation fails...
Thank you so much for this presentation! Straight to the point!
Just solo'd at 11 hours and progressing on to this material now. I subscribed to the Sporty's online prep a few weeks ago but after watching this, I'm about to make a switch. This couldn't have been explained any better! I'm so glad I found this channel...subscribing and signing up!!
We are glad to have you.
*THIS WAS SO HELPFUL thank you!! I'm taking my written the 26th of Feb and WB questions are definitely gonna be on there, I'm still confused on some minor details when calculating the questions!*
OMG thank you, the visual really helped. This might be the most helpful video for this specific topic on here.
Glad it was helpful!
Best video I’ve watched yet explaining this! Thank you so much. 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
....Thank you, Jason, for this interesting, and long needed review of this kind of problem solving! IMHO: ...Though you didn't specify, or clarify it, I will assume that the chart showing the aircraft's specific "Center of Gravity Moment Envelope", MUST be established and provided by, the particular aircraft manufacturer, for that specific model of aircraft, and, that it is to by abided by, strictly, without any allowance for "being close enough", and if in doubt, that it is the PILOT'S responsibility to KNOW if that flight is operating WITHIN the "SAFE" envelope!...?!.... (Yes??!!)...
I enjoy your videos, nice morning refresher course. 👍
Jason thanks so much for this. I have a Stage I check tomorrow and they told me to bring these calculations! This video was just perfect man. Thanks again.
Glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
Buddy thank you so much for this no one could explain this to me like you just did I completely understand this now, it’s time to do my first solo now 😀
Hey I just want to say thank you for simplifying this process. I am taking my oral and practical test soon for A & P certification MTC. I will share with all my classmates.
Was this on the O&P for A&P im taking mine in a couple of weeks.
The best explanation that I ever ever had, and VOR ground lesson it was similarly very useful.
Great that we could help. There is more great content to be found.

This video is Brilliant! If my school didn't make me buy Gleim, I would have paid for your online school!
This is sooo easy!!! Thanks to a great teacher like Jason
Thanks for watching!
I know this is 4 year old video but boy is it good. Jason you make learning weights and balance easy to learn. When I started this video I didn't know what the terms arm or moment were and planned to look them up. But I didn't have to Jason did such a great job of explaining these concepts and made it easy. Thanks Jason and MzeroA Nation.
Awesome brother the way u explained tings!! Thanks again!!!
You took such a confusing process and made it amazingly simple.

@@MzeroAFlightTraining i passed!! You guys were a ton of help to me! Thanks so much
How good was that explanation.....well done
Awesome explanation for a student pilot Jason! I’m thinking about creating an excel spreadsheet to use for my calculations. That way is somewhat automatic, but I can still see the formulas and understand where the numbers are coming from.
What a great idea, thank you so much for watching!
This is so clear, thanx so much, im in middle of my training now this is such a help!
Glad it was helpful!
Wow. Albert Einstein said, “If you can't explain it to a six-year-old, you don't understand it yourself.” I am that six-year-old child I understood it perfectly. I booked marked this so I can listen to it before my exam, Thank you again.
Great that we were able to help.

Thank you for your usual awesome vdo bro!
Haven't flown for few years just the refresher I needed when getting back into thing
Thanks for watching! Glad you are getting back into flying!
Shouldn’t „Ramp Weight“ also be bold in the table? Since it is the sum of Zero Fuel Weight and Fuel...
Wow you make it so simple. Thanks.
Great video! Thank you
Thank you very much, very well explained
Does seat position affect things that much? It just feels like a minor change that wouldn't mess with too much but maybe a notch or two of trim.
Absolutely best explanation on web!!!!👏👏👏
Glad it could help! Thanks for watching!
@@MzeroAFlightTraining when I start my PPL training bought King school and felt like really outdated. Then purchased Rod Machado’s ground school. Seems like a joke. I wish found your program way sooner 😞
Outstanding sir. thank you
Great video thank you so much !
Wow! Step by Step...ABC...Accurate, Brevity and Concise...touche
Thanks for watching
Hi, I don't know if you answer or reply to people questions or comments here, but I will give it try, I have been confusing regard one of FAA quiz test, The question ask if the CG change and how much the change? If the pilot weight 180, and the rear passenger 204 LB moved to the front prior to landing, the total weight is 2690 LB and the total M/100 2260 just prior to the passenger moving and they post figure 10.9 found in the pilot handbook of aeronautical knowledge Thanks Oz
An excellent video, very well explained..
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super helpful, thank you!
Love it, thanks for making it so easy
Glad we could help! Thanks for watching, Paul!
really good mate, thanks from Australia
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this!
excellent video, you made that very clear
Glad it was helpful!
Inside the 2023 practice test prep for private pilot, the question under Chapter 8 - Aircraft Performance problem number 3668, (Refer to Figures 32 and 33.). Would you be able to do this practice problem on a video for us?
Awesome video
Thanks a lot
So what have we learned? A great explanation of how to do the sums. But I am curious as to what they mean. Basically you end up with 2 numbers: loaded weight and loaded moment. Don't we want to know the distance between centre of gravity and centre of pressure, or the torque effect between the two?
Jason tks again love ur video
Thank you!
excellent tutorial!
