      I know! For that reason I kinda find him cute in this scene. Not attractive, cute like a kid. The way he talks quietly, casually suggests outrageous jobs based on his interests, and just has this soft look on his face also helps

      But why do you love Jerry being patient? He's not patient in this scene, he's just advising George on what it takes to have the jobs George is listing. It's not like George quitting his job will psychologically change Jerry and ruin their friendship.

      Terry Richard you might be surprised at some of the bizarre things ‘real’ people have and do experience. By the way George didn’t kill Susan, it was the toxic envelopes remember :-) People have died in some freakish accidents/occurrences on this earth....

      I totally agree with you and disagree with Terry Richard. The show is very realistic. Many of the storylines are based on real events and some that happened to Larry David or Seinfeld. Taking daily cab rides in New York is not unusual.

    jason's acting makes this entire scene. he walks a fine line of genuine introspection and humor which gives credibility to a dialog that easily could have turned into a ridiculous discussion. as well written as seinfeld was, it was the superior acting that made this show legendary.

    This might be my favourite all-time Seinfeld scene. George is in that fog of trying to decide what to do with his life and realizing that he's thoroughly unqualified for just about everything. I think about this scene pretty much every time I'm looking for work. I love that he's sitting on the floor. He literally can't get much lower.

    I 100% relate to George right here. I don’t have any talents/passions but I’ve always wanted to be a baseball GM, talk show host and get paid to watch movies. Gotta be in the right place at the right time for those kinds of gigs. Maybe I should do everything the opposite. It worked for George!

    32 years old, unemployed, and this is pretty much how I've felt my entire life. Hated school so I never went to college (too poor for it anyway at the time), and nothing but low paying trashy retail jobs all around me. Hate my life. Ever since I was a teenager I've only ever wanted to dissolve away.

    This is the harsh reality of many of us...we are not working on the things we like to do because we need 1. Experience 2. Connections 3. Time 4. Money . In school, they would tell us "the sky is the limit" or "you can be whatever you want to be" ya right. Our reality as Adults is that we have to 1.Eat 2. Pay rent 3. Pay Bills 4. Spend Money on consumer products for temporary satisfaction 5. Provide for family. Too fulfill those needs, we have no choice but to Work, Work, Work like good little working bees in jobs we hate

    I lost my job when my employer went bankrupt due to Covid-19. I've been looking for jobs since last 8 months or so, and on a verge of being homeless this coming August.

    I will say, there is a legit advantage at knowing what you want to do early on.
    You don't appreciate it at young age, but the way skill compounds in early age into adulthood is truly insane. I want to thank the universe for this fortune now at 40 years of age.

      I used to say stuff like that every day for more than 40 years -- to reporters, as a newspaper copy editor. I'd suggest it as a career possibility for you, should you ever be in George's situation, but the pay is lousy, newspapers are dying and many don't even have copy editors anymore.

      Curb Your Enthusiasm is the closest thing to Seinfeld. It stars Larry David as....Larry David. He's the model figure FOR George Costanza. Replace George with Larry and it's the same character.
