Jason Alexander really nails the character change. You can clearly see two Georges in this clip. Incredible how his talent didnt get the awards it deserves.

By season 4 he and the writers really dialed in Kramer, and the show became a situational comedy and not a show about nothing. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

George always has two sides to himself: One side is hopelessly self conscious, constantly worried about what other people think. The other is so stupendously arrogant that he demands everyone else reshape themselves to his world.
The problem is he can't navigate the middle between those two extremes.

kramer was always supportive of people and the things they wanted to do. He really was a brilliant character.
Yea trhe oppisite of Elaine who was such a B after what she did to Georges Hairpiece. She doesn't understand what hair loss does to a males ego, but this show was awesome and still is along with curb and Kramer was the best character over all of them

In show business that kind of activity is called "business". Actors will busy themselves with various props or what-not so that they are not just standing around reciting lines.
