I've been using the Tusk 4mm thick tubes at 8-9 lbs of pressure for a few years now and have never had a pinch flat and that's riding from rocky and rooted forest trails to dessert terrain, they are quite heavy as far as weight but it's worth the extra protection.
Keep the tire change videos coming. I have had to change 4 tires in the last 48 hours, thanks to your instructional videos things are getting a little easier. Thanks!
Another fantastic video Jay. Used your technique last tire change and worked like a charm! MotoZ Uber tubes for the past 5 or so years with gummy hybrid rear at about 8lbs and awesome traction results for Pacific Northwest riding.
thanks for going slower and providing the little details. i miss a lot of that detail in the IG posts where youre reminiscing about the old days and chopping it up with your guest visitor while simultaneously and effortlessly dismounting and remounting a tire in 3mins...
Jay I'm going to make one of your tire stands. Only change is I'll be installing some female concrete anchors and bolting the stand down when in use. Thanks for sharing all your experience with the community, you're a great teacher!
Great video but comment at 12:25 when he says he doesn't want to scratch the rim.... too late for that! Good tip on the nut at the end, last flat I got happened that way, tore valve stem off the tube cuz it was too tight
D-803 is incredible. Great in all kinds of terrain, and as Jay said surprisingly good in sand. You look at it and think there's no way it works for a dirt bike but it does.
Hey buddy send tne design info on the tire stand. Fyi I have chop saw for metal and a mig welder or the fancy shmansy tig!! Keep the great 80's hairbands rockin!!!
Thank you Grandpa Jay! Would like to see you compare Mousse versus Tubeliss etc durability and install vid if you ever go there. Keep these topics coming for us.
you advise to put some baby powder in the tire. what’s your view of the advice to grease the inner tube? doesn’t entirely make sense to me, because grease can be sticky…
Thanks for the great video. Just dropped you an email. I have 5 dirt bike tires to change from 14" rears to 21" fronts for a cr85, kdx80 and a ttr225. Having the stand to assist with all my changes will help.
Don't see you do many rims with duel rim locks? I put 2 rim locks on all my bikes rims( may not feel it in the dirt but makes balancing a lot easer for dual sport.so I do it on dirt bikes also.) , makes mounting tires a little more difficult.
I'm really struggling. This goes nothing like this for me. Not even close. When the rimlock is opposite the valve where do I want to finish? It won't go on because the rimlock
I've always heard that trials tires don't brake very well on step loose downhills where you really need both brakes and high speeds. What's your experience.?
Don't want bots all over to have it-- Go to contact on my channel or my links on IG-- or google my name and MX and can find my site with contact- not hard--
What is the diameter of the axle rod on your stand? Looks to fit every wheel I've seen a video of you do. Is there any you have come across that had to small diameter bearing to fit? Planning to make a stand that clamps into my regular tire machine.

Thank you Jay and Rado! Your content has been extremely helpful to me!! God bless you both!

That tire stand is a game changer. Heavy duty, wide feet for bracing yourself, proper height...
thanks for going slower and providing the little details. i miss a lot of that detail in the IG posts where youre reminiscing about the old days and chopping it up with your guest visitor while simultaneously and effortlessly dismounting and remounting a tire in 3mins...
Glad it was helpful!
You rock Jay! Thank you for sharing your tire changing skills with us.
This was a very good video with a lot of good close ups!!!!
Not sure why I love these tire install videos. I watch them all the time. You'd think I'd be better at installing mine 😂

You make this look so easy, I guess it is my time for shop do or die time lol and I love how you start your valve stim
THANK YOU JAY ! i had the nut on the valve stem right up against the rim and i tore the valve out now i understand why !
Great info. Thanks
Another great video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks! Following your advice I managed to stop my 100% record of pinched tubes failure while attempting tire changes 😅😂😂
The Tire changing master hard at work with the inside tips
So glad I seen u mention the nut against the cap I would so this guys come back say I left it loose and I'd explain why and they still want it tight
Great video but comment at 12:25 when he says he doesn't want to scratch the rim.... too late for that! Good tip on the nut at the end, last flat I got happened that way, tore valve stem off the tube cuz it was too tight

Almost sounded like the like and subscribe bell. 3:40 lol 👌
Love trials tires for hard enduro and steep rock faces
I might need to throw some on the 65s
What core remover is that? Have the motion pro one but it’s easy to lose lol

Very good, thank you
Would you recommend this double tube method on an adventure bike? i.e. an africa twin?
Trials tires been used here for years too. Best for roots and rock in the ugly.

Bruh, love the channel. Keep it coming fellas

That's the plan!
Is tire paste the same thing as beadbraker?
Great video i like your style Grandpaaaa.... ( dont feel bad im 56 and have 7 grandsons)
Great video but I just can not get my tire started onto the rim
Stupid question but how do i email you to get the plans for the stand?
Go to www.dirtbiketv1.com site and contacts are easy to find -- dont post email address to cut down on scammer bots.
Don't see you do many rims with duel rim locks? I put 2 rim locks on all my bikes rims( may not feel it in the dirt but makes balancing a lot easer for dual sport.so I do it on dirt bikes also.) , makes mounting tires a little more difficult.
What if you don't use rim locks? My tires are wide and I have deep rims so the beadbuddy don't work.
Email Jay with any questions. Contact info in About tab.
I'm really struggling. This goes nothing like this for me. Not even close. When the rimlock is opposite the valve where do I want to finish? It won't go on because the rimlock

Yamaha dealer wanted $350 labor to change 2 tires! Crazy!
"trail tire change" I thought he meant tire change on the trail, until he said use a stand.
Haha. No tires changes on the trail.
He changes a tire without breaking a sweat. I lose a finger and break a window...
No one on RUclips show tips and tricks on how to do the 21” front tire. Definitely much harder than a 18” rear like everyone shows how to do.
Tire stand drawings section is blank on your website???
Work smarter not harder
