The maui 5 go I own, and can say that uneven ground makes them tippy (on grass, in a field) and also the wind will blow them over. Like a big wind sail.
I would like to know if you made sure you adjusted all the EQ's to squeeze the most out of the Everse 8. I find that out of the box, it was weak, but after dialing in the levels to the limits before clipping, i got a lot more out of it.
No we did not we left it flat - thanks for the feedback as it may help others. We agree we could probably have tweaked it better but wanted an “Out of the box” comparison
@@TheDJsGuru youre definitely not doing the everse 8 any justice by leaving the EQ flat, use the PEQ not the GEQ setting, and boost the lows, and high frequencies and keep the middle kinda in the middle, youll notice a huge difference in sound. Also, the Everse 8 will flash the LIMIT light wayyy before you come close to actual clipping. I wish EV had a way to adjust that because it definitely kicks on wayyyy to soon.
Finally a batt pwd spkr that has a 12v out AND a footswitch for controlling reverb, perfect for singers, can be used at xtra small gigs and outputted to a bigger PA for any sized gig - EV takes it for me, thanks for the great revue
Hello! One question from me! Sorry to bother you) Do you sometimes have the Everse 8 display blinking when the battery is turned off and in charging mode from an electrical outlet? Chaotically, without a specific time interval. It can dim for a long time, then it can flash for a few seconds and so on for the entire time until it is fully charged to the state of full 100% charge and turns off. Or does the display always glow dimly when charging the battery without such flashing? And is there any real, personally verified data on how long it takes to charge from 0 to 100%? My Everse 8 was charged in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Thank you. On the Electro-Voice RUclips channel, they wrote that this is normal, this happens when the Everse 8 charger conducts internal tests of charging currents with the speaker turned off. I just haven't had such display speakers before. I didn't know about such things. I live in Russia, there is nowhere to ask. There are no owners here, and there are no videos on RUclips except for my amateur ones. That's why I asked through foreign channels.
Hello again. I live in Russia. There is no one to ask. The battery life with all three channels: microphone, guitar, soundtracks at high volume lasts a maximum of 3 hours. Does anyone have such a result? Are 6 and 12 o'clock indicated for one channel or for all three?
As for battery is very simple to take out for replacement will only take about 5 to 10 min. I HAVE OPEN UP THE SPEAKER AND IT IS VERY WELL BUILT VERY IMPRESS
Which battery-powered speaker would you pick?
I would have liked for you to compare the Everse 12 with the Yorkville 12. Or the Everse 8 with the Yorkville 8. I like a fair fight.
I would’ve needed a time machine because the Everse 12 wouldn’t be released for another several months

Is that different from other column systems you’ve owned? Seems those things would have an effect on most systems.
I really enjoyed this review. Finding the best in everything with example situations of where they excel in. Thanks Justin.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed :-)
I think the Everse is a winner just based on having the 12V output for a wireless mic.
It def has the most thoughtful design - they’re all winners in our opinion different uses though for diff users.
Our coffee house gig requires 3 outputs and most reviews rave about the Yorkville !

@TheDJsGuru good to know. It's MUCH louder than the default levels.
I agree with @chrisskinner6483. The Everse8 has a lot that can be adjusted in the menu. Did you have the position set at Pole?

why didn't you get the 12inch EV to compare to the yorkville
@@hugohi4597 because I did not have the ability to go into the future, and this video was made before that was released
@ that’s the comparison I’m looking for actually and also the Soundbox generation four

How come you assess the sound quality based on price? If that's how you rate speakers, check out Alto brand.
@@rrod6738 we are confused. where exactly did we do that?

Wish we could answer- we had each speaker set at its max output before distortion so all different.
@@TheDJsGuru I'm asking about Everse 8. I bought one. But there are no reviews about it in Russia. That's why I'm asking abroad.
You're comparing point source and column array
