    Having 100 miles on these before fully reviewing does carry some weight. Nice job covering all areas of these! I love the first version so these will soon be added to my rotation. It's really nice to run in shoes that shine with tempo, but can also be comfortable at slower pace.

      Thanks for watching Ian. This shoe is a good all rounder for training and I think if you can stretch for it (though it’s an expensive shoe) it’s worth the admission fee. 👍🏼😊

      Hey Mason. The new turbos are a real improvement. Much better fit. Some may disagree but in my opinion one of the best shoes so far this year. Only small improvements but they make a big difference.

    I agree, I had the Pegasus 35 but it felt like it was missing something more. So I got the Pegasus turbo 2 and have loved it. The shoes comfortability is awesome. It’s feel like I’m running on air. And whenever I am and running fast. I feel like I am running fast. Which is the main thing compared to the Pegasus 35, I felt like it didn’t have speed. But I feel like I can really go fast in the turbo 2. So undeniably the turbos 2 are an awesome shoe.

    Great honest review! 👍
    Still using my Pegasus 35 Turbo (got it at the initial launch a year ago) and is still going strong so not getting the Turbo 2 anytime soon since the mid and outsole remains the same. I have no issues with the original upper.
    On a side note, try the new New Balance FuelCell Propel. A real workhorse (not racer though) for any distances and speed. You won’t be disappointed!

      Hey Ryan, as along as those v1 are doing a good job then all is well. I can get some more miles out of mine too. Will employ them a little soon to give the v2 midsole a chance to recover! Thanks for watching. 👍🏼😊

    Great review, I could have written it myself and feel pretty much the same way about this shoe. I am seeing some wear on the outsole after about 250K with the nubs on the middle almost worn flat. I use the Vaporfly for race day but would have no problem racing a half marathon in these. I also agree, this is not a more expensive Peg 36. Much different. The only thing I don't really like about this shoe is the tongue. It is a bit finicky and takes a bit longer to get in place. Not a deal breaker.

    Great analysis, Edd. I'm personally looking at getting the older version (35 Turbo) as it is cheaper now but maybe towards the end of the year with Black Friday or some other sale date I can pick a pair of the latest editions up. Too many shoes too little time.

    I agree. I can see on paper where the peg 35/36 are better value, but I'd rather have the turbo 2s. The only reason I run in my peg 36 is to remember what it feels like for comparison. The one thing I do like better about the peg 36 is the swoosh is an outline instead of filled in. I have the white shoes for both, and the peg 36 looks better than the turbo 2's because of it, but that's a small thing. I think the 36s will last longer, too which makes them an even better value, but I still love the turbo 2s.

    Good comprehensive review, Nike definitely knows how to make nice shoes. Too bad they never work for me, I wish I could run in them but always get injured when I do...there’s something in the heel drop or the narrow mid foot that my body doesn’t like. I’ll stick with Hokas, but can’t use them casually unfortunately

    I agree that this shoe is completely different than the Pegasus 36. Totally different animal and far superior, in my opinion. Just did a Fartlek run today in these and the cushioning is phenomenal. Great shoe. Had to view this again to validate my thoughts on the shoe!

    Hi Edd, great video as always. I'm toying between this and the Zoomfly 3 for my next half marathon racing shoe. I know the ZF3 has carbon plate in it to help with a stronger push off but its a much heavier shoe. This on the other hand is much lighter and with zoom x foam....it will be a responsive shoe as well. What are your thoughts about the two? I'm currently racing in the Zoomfly 2 and it has serve me well for the past few races but it is time to get a new pair for replacement. I do my other easy/recovery runs in the Peg 36 and Epic react though. Thanks in advance.

    • @EDDBUD
      @EDDBUD  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Danny, it’s certainly much lighter than the VF3. Even at a half marathon distance I think this will make a difference. Will probably help with recovery too, I find the foam leaves me feeling fresher the next day. Hope this helps. As usual I appreciate your support and thanks for viewing. 👍🏼😊

      Aw lucky you! It’s double that now at £160 😫 need a soft squishy pair of shoes and these seem perfect! I’ve got a metal plate and screws holding my right ankle together (lower fibula) sucks not being able to jog more than a mile without the 6 screws digging into my bone.
      The infinity reacts look like spaceships lol
      Only exercise that doesn’t feel like torture is swimming, I hope they open up pools soon, cos the lockdown has really stuffed up my fitness. 4 pack to jelly belly

    The Turbo 2 is my new "Go To" shoe but at 400K of running a month this is an expensive shoe to keep replacing. I have been also using a pair of Turbo 1 that is nearing the end of their life and I am about to order a new pair of Turbo 2's to replace the Turbo 1. I am wondering if you have a shoe that you would recommend for easy recovery days instead of piling on the miles on the Turbos? Something inexpensive but soft on my feet is what I am getting at :)

    • @EDDBUD
      @EDDBUD  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Monte. Got to be the Beacon 1. New Balance. I just really love it. Soft, but still responsive, comfortable but realistic in price. Give them a try. Beacon 2 is practically the same shoe with slightly different heel. 👍🏼

      @@EDDBUD Thanks for the info. Do you notice the 6mm drop being much different than Nike's 10mm? I am a little concerned with that.

      Not sure I noticed it at all Monte. It’s incredibly comfortable. Though simple in design and construction. Super light also. 👍🏼

      Think these shoes*

    • @EDDBUD
      @EDDBUD  4 года назад

      That’s a good question. I think they would hold up ok. I’m pretty light so get minimal wear but a buddy of mine has got 500+ miles from his original turbos. The outsole and midsole still felt very usable. I always think about 300 miles for a shoe isn’t bad value really. I rotate shoes often and it seems to help me avoid injury. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼😊🏃🏻‍♂️

    Went to two outlets trying to find this shoe and neither had the turbos, the zoomfly, or the vaporfly. The best shoe they had was the epic react two 🤦‍♂️ for like 20 bucks off. Adidas didn’t carry the ultra boost 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ had to go to a finish line. Hopefully they carry this shoe someday

      Sad times, bricks and mortar stores carry less and less. With running shoes as well it’s key to try them first, we all have different feet and require different things from our shoes. Hope you can hunt some down. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼😊🏃🏻‍♂️

    Terrible quality shoe. I understand why they stopped producing them now. I returned my Turbo 1 due to splitting at the back and now my Turbo 2 have split in the same place but worse. In both cases i have only put around 50km in botb pairs. Its a shame we cannot post pictures on the comments area on RUclips. I hope my recently purchased next %2 will last more than 20km. I will write another complaint letter to Nike and see what they say.
