Both 35 Turbo and Turbo 2s are insane. Better than Ultraboost. And as a runner, these have been great! Ran my fastest times in the 35 Turbos. Excited to get the Turbo 2 for my half marathon
Pegasus Turbo and React Flyknits excellent. React and Zoom X foams are awesome. They are not however better than Boost technology though. Let's not forget Nike wouldn't have ever gotten off their greedy asses to actually innovate for once, were it not for Boost tech.

But note I was referring to Boost foam technology itself, and not the Ultraboost, the most notorious and original model to incorporate this amazing tech. I've run in my UB's albeit not extensively, as they are triple whites and I like to keep them clean for casual wear. I did not find them too unstable for my taste, although I would totally agree they are not the most stable running shoes around.
this years nike models seem to have minor changes that perfect the feel and performance. like the peg36 upper feels marginally better than 35s imo. and the color definitely grows on you. but no flywire and racing stripe is definitely a bummer.
They probably just label zoom x on the bottom on the React bc the Zoom X part is slimmer and wrinkles easily. Guessing that makes printing on it less appealing than the React. Idk maybe thats too simple of an explanation.

The '8's on the heal could be there to record your race time. Just mark out, or color in, the necessary segments to indicate the time you ran while wearing them.....or maybe display your goal time that you're training for. For most people, it would be hours, minutes, seconds. In my case, the digits would be weeks, days, hours.
The only thing going for the updated version is the upper material. Dope colorway. Not a fan of the paper thin tongue, collar and heel. Much better with padded on the older version imo. Great comparison James.
I still prefer the look of the original. I enjoyed running in the originals, but I doubt I'll be purchasing the new model as I don't really enjoy running in shoes with high heel drops anymore.
I totally agree i own about 6 pair of these turbo 35.... still hesitant on buying the turbo 2 cause now the turbo 1 which i love is on sale everywhere! I really like the stripe element on the turbo 35 sad they took that away on the 2
still put my heart on Pegasus 35 Turbo, because I wear it for casual daily wear. more comfort, more cushion, easily wear, made it slip-on. still my favorite most comfort shoes of all my collection for now.
I have 6 pairs of the Pegasus 35 Turbos. Want to try the Turbo 2s, the Turbos definitely improve my pace (significantly). On average 15-20 seconds per Kilometer, 30 seconds+ per mile with same effort.
What to do? Got a pair of Pegasus turbo 2. But size 9 while I'm size 10. Kinda snug in my feet. Is it a keep, maybe just for casual wear or will I sell it? Got it for 50% off when I bought it.
as a runner, i love running in style and the pegasus 1 are beautiful. i hate the collar on the 2 and i like the green but i wish they had better color options.
For me, when I wore the Pegasus Turbo, the racing stripe kept folding in a certain way and applying some pressure to my foot, but only on the right shoe. The racing stripe looked good though
Wish Nike came out with better colorways for the turbo 2. Just a simple solid black and white without the weird trippy pattern on the upper cause I prefer the sleeker thinner more minimal design of the turbo 2’s over the 1’s.

Deliberately taken the design cues from the Vaporfly Next%. Green, lighter mesh, ZoomX (albeit only half the midsole). They’ve made it more of a shoe designed for runners shedding some weight and trading that off against comfort for casual wearers.
I’ve been waiting for a long time for these! These are the poor mans next% and I love the volt CW/black swoosh! I just wished they were a bit more durable and had more grip on the bottom for things such as rain. And hopefully with more releases of this model, the Pegasus 35 turbos go on sale

Kinda miss the racing stripe... not on the OG ones...but the other colorways were able to pull it off quite well. Plus the V1’s are now discounted in the outlets.

They are soo light! Really good for walking, I doubt I would run in these tho, I need max cushioning for running so brooks glycerin/altras/Topo phantom/ultraflys But these turbo2s are perfect for me walking about. But as they’re so thin, I’ve had to re-lace them, to miss the first set of laceholes because they’re irritating my big toe knuckle ! Which is fine as I do that with most of my shoes :p I do hope with the turbo3 they go wider like the new react infinity run.

They are pretty 'squishy.' The Zoom X foam part of the midsole makes them highly compressible. In other words, it is a material which, gives a good bit in response to a force applied. High strain for stress. All this to say they are not the best bet if you plan to do any kind of Olympic or powerlifting/compound movements. Find a minimalist shoe for that.
This is not a throw on and walk out the door kinda shoe like previous turbo. Serious heel slip and had to stop and tie them. 6’1”, 195lb and high arch. Size 11 1/2. Very breathable and noticeably lighter though just plan on always having to tie them. Bummer.

He hydro-dipped a semi-translucent tye-die pattern on the stripe of a pair of all white peg turbos. It looked fresh!

This shoe is trash. Lost the 'racing stripe,' the most iconic design element of the shoe. Seemingly no more padding behind the heel and around the ankle, and no update to the mid or outsole (the cool technical pairing of the React with Zoom X foams). Let's not even get started on the hideous color scheme. I'll stick with the Pegasus Turbo which, is a really awesome shoe and a great runner. It looks much better and has the same technology in the mid and outsoles. Have two pairs, will stick with them!
Performance wise the stripe did nothing helpful if anything it reduced breathability. They redesigned the heel area to improve stability (which did help) which the original turbo was lacking. Lastly it's a Nike thing to alternate between changing the upper one year and the sole(s) the next. You're just upset because you don't like how it looks when they made performance upgrades to a performance running shoe...

If you think it's a step back in the newer model that's cool, but don't trash a shoe because it doesn't meet your personal specs. The lace system is offset for runners preference. They took away with the stripe because it slightly affected the way the foot strike movement, and if your a runner you know every bit counts. The upper is mainly what has changed from the previous Turbo, original 35 Turbo water will absorb from the run sneaker. The new Turbo 2 is more water resistant helping runners capable of running without extra weight on water retention.

They’re very durable compared to other shoes with zoom x. You can easily get 500 miles out of these

They shouldn't have removed that MO-Farah extended heel support. Which is there in Pegasus 36.That was really helpful during long runs.

As a runner, you can't go wrong with either of them. Personally Pegasus are my go to running shoes.
