"We Spoke To The Bank Employee... She Was Concerned About You Being Out Here"

  • This audit brings us to this US Bank location where I was documenting the exterior of the building from the public sidewalk. The architectural style of the building was unique as it resembled a light house. A while after I began, I was met outside by a bank representative who claimed that I couldn't record the bank as it was making customers uncomfortable. That's funny because I didn't see any customers from where I was standing when she came out to speak with me. she retreated back inside after I returned the same energy I got, when she told me to leave, so I told her to go back inside. About 15-20 mins had passed as I was continuing to do my documentation , when I noticed Sherriff's deputies arrive on scene. They proceeded to go inside to speak with those inside who called. When the deputies retuned outside, I gave them an honorary "handsome alert" on ‪@NastyNathanial69‬'s behalf 😁
Overall I gave the Deputies a pass for being cordial & professional during their encounter with me, but a definite fail to this US Bank location for calling police over a lawful activity. Chime in below in the comments with your thoughts on the Pass/fail conclusion.

Isn't it sweet of the cops to ask for your name, "just so they can document that they contacted you." I'm sure they would NEVER check you for warrants or enter your name into their data base as a suspicious person, or anything like that. They just want to be friends.

I'm amazed that in the USA you can't transfer money from your account to any other account in the USA banking system using your PC or phone and a free app.....
Many much less sophisticated countries allow this..in fact encourage it.
No fee transfer of funds at any time of the day or night...
      and just recently...instantaneous transfer..
      no waiting for opening hours...

I understand a bank employee - or maybe any employee - coming out to ask a videographer if they can help them with anything. What I don’t understand is calling 911, which is for emergency calls only, over a videographer. I mean come on, folks, it’s just a camera. These customers were on camera from the time they were within 50 feet of that bank building until they got back in their car. I love how these employees narcissistically say, “I can’t have you filming” as though they have any say so in the matter……..which they don’t.

There was a story of one where there was a sign placed over the front asking people not to use it, but instead to deposit monies in a temporary strong box that was attached to the bank by a heavy chain. And, naturally enough people just assumed the bank had placed the box there and followed the instructions and placed their cash into it... Clever thieves

Saturday when most people aren't working can't go to this bank. They hate their customers.

Every time I see a single auditor "on the job" I ask myself...
"Why does he/she not have a remote mic and a second unobtrusive person some distance away taking a vid showing the overall situation?"
This leaves the auditor free to assess threats and possible assault attempts without being handicapped by having to cam at the same time???

I love how you ask for the officer's first name and then don't give yours. Hilarious! I really enjoy seeing law abiding citizens taking the upper hand over cops who think they can push people around.

The officers were definitely NOT pushing him around. They were just doing their jobs, even when they have to take stupid calls. They were cordial & polite.

The ATM screens, as we can see at the beginning of the video, are made so that cameras cannot take a picture or record the screen.

6:08 did you know: the reason police officers leave their cars running is to use this year’s gas money allotment because if they don’t use all of it they won’t get that much next year

What point was the cop trying to make when he said "The bank closes at 5"?
Did he think the public sidewalk also closes at 5?

When the police state they have to come out when called, ask them this:
If I call about every single person walking on the sidewalk will you come out????
Then proceed to make a call each time someone walks on the sidewalk.

His tyranny broke through in a Freudian slip, "you are free to leave?" and "they close at 5". The sidewalk is open 24/7
