Thanks for the video. Some great information that I didn't know. Yes, releasing the slide on an empty chamber no magazine is bad. I saw that for the first time a couple of days ago Bill Wilson and Massad Ayoob video. BTW, I went with the Mac 9 over the Tisas. It was actually $850 instead of the $770, clerk quoted the wrong gun. It will be here next Tuesday, looking forward to it. Hopefully it's one of the better examples and not a repeat of the one your fellow YTuber got that you recommending checking out his video. Thanks again for your video series on the Mac 9, Ken
Not the proper video but hoping to get a response. I am doing the prodigy grip swap and have everything functional except the beavertail grip safety. The default Mac grip safety seems to be too large for the Prodigy grip module. It collides with the top of the Prodigy mainspring housing and is too thick to depress into the prodigy grip safety channel. You had said the Mac frame doesn't appear to be a .250 radius beaver tail, but did you have to reprofile the actual replacement grip safety or the Prodigy grip module grip safety channel?
The mainspring channel in the grip module will need to be widened to allow the grip safety to swing into it. it sounds like the top of the mainspring housing needs shaved down as well.
For the grip safety (which i assuming is the radius you're asking about) its somewhere between .178 - .203". The frame radius is not even centered over the thumb safety pin hole. Seems Tisas did their own thing with the frames on these.

They definitely did their own thing.
