    Hey Deezal, great vid mate. Just wondering if yours is a 2017 model? Cheers

    Yes mount trailer sockets / plugs on top of bracket, works well, saves destroying them.

      That's the plan Philip! When this weather clears I have plugs and a new plate ready to bolt on. Just a shame I haven't done it sooner 😁

    Thanks for another great video. Curious to know about the big tubes you carry on top. I think you mentioned at some point they were for carrying the poles. Does the trailer not have a storage bay for the poles?

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад

      It does, but I chose to utilize the area to store other things instead, therefore gaining more storage.
      I call it the stuff spot where I keep all the bits and pieces we use around camp and want to be able to get to easily and quickly.
      By memory I go through that in the walkthrough video.

    Hey mate great informative video!! How did the Pajero go over corrugations?

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад

      Hi mark, thanks for the feedback! Paj had no problems at all. When corrugations got bad just aired down a little and it rode nicely at the right speed 👌

    Great video mate. We are currently considering the MDC Explorer Forward Fold. My main concern was if it would stand the test of time, and your campers seems to have held up well after a long trip.
    How did you find the camper suspension? How did it go on the corrugations?

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад +1

      Yeah no issues on corrugations, did a day driving from Karratha to Karijini via Rio access roads and it all held up. Looking at the Gibb next year which will be the ultimate test, thanks for watching 👍

      @@gettingaroundaus Sweet. We have a 300 series on order and are hoping to take that and the trailer from Cairns to Darwin via the Savannah Way, and some of the corrugations look dreadful, so I wanted to make sure the trailer could handle it.

    Hi
    Great video
    I was just wondering what litres per hundred you get with Pajero towing and on its own.

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад +1

      Hi Garry, on its own about 12lt per 100 and towing 14-15

  • @TimB-lb1zn
    @TimB-lb1zn Год назад +1

    Thanks for the video. How did you find it to tow? The Robson is one of the widest campers at 2.4m wide. Wondering if you found it ok or was the width ever an issue?

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад

      Hi Tim, Yeah good question, the width we didn't notice any drag, it was easy to tow with our paj. Didn't notice it was there much many times when towing to be honest. The electronic braking system always works well also. I think the 2.5t capacity which we were close to was the only noticeable towing factor from our experience

    What fridge brands and sizes did you use in your robson xtt please?

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад

      Hi Tracey, on the driver's side it's a 60l kings and the passenger (main) side a 75lt kickass. The kings isn't the best but the kickass we highly recommend value for money, Deezel 🍺

      Can only speak from our experience but we don't have anything bad to say to be honest. It's been great for us in all climates/parts of the country.
      We still use it with excitement 😁

  • @jcautec

    Why would the pole carrier cause any issue. The top.frame is a boat carrier designed to carry much more than 50kg of poles.

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад

      The tube is just on the outside of the boat rack so my thinking is its only distributed over the driver's side tyre rather than over both for eg. It seems to be a shared opinion by many to be honest but I'm not 100% sure myself, even now 🤔

    Is this available for the US?

      I'm honestly not sure. I have a feeling they might be through ausrv perhaps instead of MDC? They might have a website in the US
