- We partnered with MDC to see what this Australian based off-road camper can do here in the states!
Over the next month we're going to be using the Jackson FF from @mdcusa1851 as our off-road basecamp, towing it with our Jeep Gladiator Mojave to some of the most beautiful and rugged destinations in the country.
This first episode starts with us picking up the camper and heading out deep into the mountains of Colorado for a relaxing weekend of cooking, fishing, and exploring.
Will this off-road pop-up be THE perfect family off-road camper? We'll find out!

I feel your pain I did the same thing.
Best way is to colour code all poles
And use a battery drill to put down your stabilizer legs this will save you time and your marriage 😂

Hey. Love the videos. I am actually from the springs and looking at this trailer at the moment. They are having a great sale to get rid of the 22 models. So I'd love to pick your brain and get some insight as to what you thought about it. @@FarFromOrdinary have you dealt with it getting wet much? How was the waterproofing or did you use something aftermarket to seal it. What changes have you made or need to make to it for ease of use. Have you had to deal with any warranty claims yet and if so how did they go?
Knowing what you know now, would you choose the Robson XTT for a family setup?
If you had a capable tow vehicle absolutely! Off-road we struggled at times with our non-diesel Gladiator.
Get an OGT expedition 3.0 trailer, solve all your set up issues. :)
No real setup issues. 2nd time took 20 minutes. I bet we can get it down to under 10
Questions for you. Curious if you stuck with the Jackson FF? We have the same setup with the FF and the Mojave. Quite a few mods and installed Anderson plug on the Mojave too. I see you mention 37” tires. Did your regear? If so then 5:13 or? Did some crazy trails this past July with the Jackson too. Any tips on finding trails accessible for turn around and not getting stuck with such a long vehicle combo? Thanks for your advice.
We did not stick with the Jackson. We did regear to 4.88 and didn't have any issues towing and the length wasn't really ever a concern either, even on the 600 mile BDR to Canada. Full review coming up next week!

The video that's about to go out, we got it done in 25 minutes. The 3rd time I bet you anything we can get it to under 10 minutes.
