    Thanks for sharing. Always good to see what gear works for others.
    I know you said you don't use your tanks for drinking, but you should mention that the humble green garden hose might give off chemicals into the water and that is why you should use a specific food grade hose to fill water tanks, because some people may drink from their tanks.

    Hey Diesel. Most probably an item you’re currently already carrying in the Paj but emergency comms (Sat phone, GME PLB, Zoleo) would be something I would have in my caravan (taken from the car) especially for remote camping.
    I have a small ‘grab bag’ with key items in case of emergency e.g. first aid kit, torch, long range comms, waterproof matches/flint, water, food, pocket knife, sunscreen etc. that I can easily transfer from the vehicle to the caravan when we settle in for the night.
    Just an idea 😁

      Yeah I had thought about taking the epirb but decided against it. I figure we would normally be within radio distance for someone to hear us so that would do. 👍

    Can’t decide wether we upgrade to a camper trailer like yours or caravan. I guess it comes down to convenience and the fact the roof and sides are solid and not material. You still have to set up your trailer but with caravan just walk into it. Do you think you and Anita will upgrade to that?
    Husband and I use a Zero rooftop camper and the back of his vw is fitted with a slide out kitchen with stove. I just take into consideration the older he gets the more aches and pain he gets lol totally taking up what you have to stand on for showering and those contraptions for mozzies 😊 we gave up on upright camp chairs. No regrets with recliner camp chairs. It’s nice stargazing and falling asleep on a recliner chair. Heavy though which sucks but bloody comfortable. Also appreciate the bloopers at the end. You make us laugh 😂

      Yeah I get a chuckle out of them as well 😂 we would love a caravan but to get all the things we need it's not something we can afford to be honest. And that's why we have a camper trailer,has everything we want at a price we could afford 👍

    • @nmjt86
      @nmjt86 Год назад +1

      @@gettingaroundaus totally understandable. We also can’t afford a caravan at the moment but in due time who knows. I appreciate and enjoy watching all your videos you upload. It’s authentic and your family is lovely.

    I was surprised you didn't include a snake-bite kit. But I guess you haven't encountered many snakes for it to be a concern. Great info though - thanks for going to the effort as I found it really useful.

      You're right, a snake bite kit would be a sensible idea but haven't felt like it was necessary 🤞
      Appreciate the feedback, was a bit of effort to put together but it's great it's been helpful 🍻

    Your lead from solar panel is 10m to long, also put your electric cord on a roll up wheel

      Yeah maybe it's too long but I like to have the option when parking under trees. Unfortunately a roll up wheel I don't have room for but it's a good idea 💡 👍

    Very useful - thanks for sharing! What canvases do you take for long trips? We're about to set off for 3.5 months and thinking we'll just take awning and one wall (wall behind kitchen)... (We have the MDC Cruizer Highside)

      Hi Matt,
      We haven't insulated the Camper Trailer. Haven't used it in the snow but I'd imagine it would be very cold however.

    • @gettingaroundaus
      @gettingaroundaus  Год назад

      Hi Kath, Can't say we've noticed anything out of whack while driving. The paj and Camper Trailer have plenty of weight carrying capacity so it's not an issue but we definitely have to remember any more will be too much. Thanks for watching 🍻
