I actually considered one exactly the Same recently before my NT Trip, on sale at Big W via website to attach to my Pajero. After speaking to camping Supplier in Ballarat was advised that the San Hima isn't the Best Quality and made in China at the same Factory that Makes Kings and other Cheaper Brands and unless someone loans me one Go for the ARB or Anaconda as Far Superior Decided could do without one at this stage. A Suggestion for Yours, as the walls are so Flimsy and Slack turn the Brackets up the Other way and Have the Shorter Section Bolted to Roof Bars to Gain the Extra Height or Pick up Some Slightly Longer Type from Bunnings. also grab the Base from Vic Offroad Just in case you Drop the Soap and it slides under the Gap at the Bottom (Don't need to scare the other Campers doing a Nudi Run to collect Soap) until you Get Your Roof rack.
@@johnh6435 yeah dropping the soap under the car would be a concern 😂 Cheers for the info, I did adjust the brackets a bit but feel like It's still needs to go a bit higher again and I'll have a tinker 👍

Enjoying the videos mate 👍 Just something for you as far as the glue goes. If you need to do anymore carpeting, give the synthetic grass glue a go. I've used that on the two fit outs I've done on my utes...it works a treat and I think you'll find it spreads easier and you get better value for your money.

It's great the vids are coming across well, it wasn't something I was sure would work for my channel but I am enjoying it, will be better when I can actually start using it 😁
Looking good, anything you would do differently with the choice of materials?
@@craig5147 I'm actually happy I've spent the extra money and got the good stuff. It's all expensive comparatively to what other things could be used but I knew I'd kick myself if I cut a corner trying to save on something. As tempting as it is I'm not settling on anything mate but the real 'road test' is yet to come 👍🤞
How are you finding the adhesive, is the carpet still stuck down alright? Im looking use similar materials to build a false floor in an isuzu mux, but use tie down straps to hold it in place so i can remove it when not camping.
@@craig5147 hi mate, I did consider using the tie down points but thought bugger it, I'll fix the bastard in! While it's only been a month I found it all has gone together well. Time will tell the true story but it does feel like it was the right choice at this point 👍
Dont the batterys have to be vented directly outside? That gap isn't a vent as you can close that door
@@davidlawler6522 I can achieve ventilation when the Camper is being inhabited, it would be silly to close that vent wouldn't it 👍
@gettingaroundaus see where ya coming from . a manufacturer wouldn't get away with that as a vent as it could be shut by the wind or human error. But it's your van so you can do what you like 👍
@davidlawler6522 appreciate it mate! I get it though, I do take my families safety seriously though and make sure we aren't in harms way 👍
I’ve just bought myself a 2008 diesel Pajero for 13k with all the bells and whistles bolted on including a 2” Lift with airbags in the rear and a bull bar with a winch installed. I bought it because my parents have a 2014 Pajero and they have pulled their caravan around Australia multiple times. The only mod they did for towing was put airbags in the rear to stop it squatting when the caravan was on. Other than that their Pajero is 100% stock and with good maintenance they have never had a problem with the car.
@@morphshag yeah I'd have to agree with you mate, good value for money 👌
Do you put water in the bottom tank... only asking as we brought it it seem to get over full to quick so I have only put the blue stuff in bottom with 3 litres of water and I put water in top tank
@@cassandrawallace638 just a bit of water with solution in bottom tank to break down, but fill the top tank for Flushing water. Remember all the Flushing water will end up in the bottom tank so don't flush too much 😁
Yes that what I'm thinking. Our top is 15 litres and our bottom is 20 litres so I put a 1 litre of blue stuff and 3 litres in the bottom. Am I doing it right
@cassandrawallace638 hmmm sounds like too much in the bottom. Think by memory the solution bottle says to add a couple hundred ml of solution with maybe a litre of water. Then whatever goes into the top tank needs to fit in the bottom remember there will be toilet paper and waste to go with it. My tip is read the bottle, sorry I can't remember exactly

G'day diesel just watched the latest ep how's your alternator going to go with the 2x 40a dcdc chargers + lights and everything else with the ranger mate? Without doing any research I'm imagining you will be giving the stock alternator a fair nudge
@@ChrisPedersen-i9y hi Chris! Just the 1x dcdc charger mate and 1x acdc charger which is charging off 240v when needed. Didn't have the money for the 60a dcdc but it also would be bigger and more difficult to fit, hope that answers your question?
@gettingaroundaus sorry mate I should have worded that better. I meant when towing the robbo with your canopy set up with 40a dcdc and your robbo with a 40a dcdc.
@ChrisPedersen-i9y ahh gotcha! We did that the Pajero and didn't have any issues, so consequently didn't even think of it. I'll run it past my sparky and get his thoughts, appreciate the shout 👍

Great father son time The more you do it the better you Get If you can more info on location would be helpful Keep up the good work
@@ronaldlodge4814 no worries mate, this was a secret spot though which is why I kept it to myself 😁
That is a really really bad spot to mount a 12 volt control box, mate! You need to fix up your critical thinking skills! Fixing the control box to that location means that when your Pajero is full of camping gear, the gear will not only sit on top of your control box but you won't be able to access the box unless you take all your gear out!
@@nivid01 I'm assuming you're trying to help rather than criticise. A couple of things, when the fridge was in use this side was completely protected (which is why the placement suited) it was great for the year we had it. Other thing is we have sold this vehicle 😁
Balistic nylon = bullet proof. Camer operators in war zones use balistic nylon or kevla kit bags. They can take cover behind their equipment when the bullets start to fly. Im sure you won't need that, but it does mean the panels are very well protected.

@@poeqa In fairness $200 of that was freight which in itself is also BS. But even $800 ($795) is BS although I can't complain about the quality. Had I the time and workshop space I believe I could have done it myself but hey.............
Why don't you apply something like Raptor Lining in the tub, instead of the plastic lining. I have a RhinoLining tub and it's amazing how much protection you get from a well applied product like that.
I have been told about raptor coating but rhino lining I didn't know about. Appreciate the tip, I've definitely been flipping back and forth on it. I'll check this stuff out 👍
Take the factory tub liner out and get a spray in tub liner. They are more durable and take up less room making it easier to fit other accessories. Imo. There is alot wasted space behind factory tubliners. I would put some thin stick on foam pads between the tank and the floor and front wall to stop the tank rubbing directly on metal.
@@tony_cracka9851 Roger, raptor spray is I'm told pretty good so is that something you've used?
@@gettingaroundausyeah been a 4wd accessories fitter for about 10 years ,my I personal preference is the spray in liner , I found the factory liners are ok for protection of the tub if your just throwing random stuff in the tub . But when you try to add extra bolt in accessories like draws fridges ect the factory tubliners have wasted space between tub and liner making it more difficult to mount stuff. Just my opinion.
@@tony_cracka9851 yeah I get what your saying for sure, definitely has been something I've been mulling over 👍
Also being conscious of weight/available payload from removing plastic liners.. I reclaimed a solid 10kg in effective dead weight removing the liner from our old ute. In this case that's 1/4 tank of water in weight saved.
@@sky73x yep it bloody adds up doesn't it 👌
Mate, i did the same thing. I removed the tub liner put in a floor fridge slide. i didn't want to have drawes tank at the back and kickass 120amp lithium battery box on the side next to the fridge so far. It has worked out plenty of room for tubs and, ect, looking forward to seeing your build
Yeah appreciate it mate! Still plenty more to come but it's coming up well so far... I did change my mind a few times on the tub liner though 😁
