New sub , also a older ranger owner who's wanting to fit out the back. Enjoying the how to & giving me an idea how to do myself so thanks.

How much more satisfying must it be to DIY? I paid a grand for mine from a mob in SA but in fairness it is perfect and fitted perfect. You made it look so simple I am sorry I didn't give it a go myself.

Getting a pro to do it right isn't a bad in my books, but I must say there is a fair amount of pride attached to this job 😁
I'll admit though it did look pretty simply on camera 😂 I don't film all the time I stand there over thinking what I'm going to do 😁

1k for a false floor is crazy

@@poeqa In fairness $200 of that was freight which in itself is also BS. But even $800 ($795) is BS although I can't complain about the quality. Had I the time and workshop space I believe I could have done it myself but hey.............

Personally and it’s just what I would do is put a couple of Dabs of sikaflex to hold the floor down instead of drilling holes in your tub, otherwise great job

@@andrerol9705 yeah mate I definitely did consider that, considering some really impressive corrugations I'm likley to drive on I've really tried to secure as best I can.
Time will tell in the long term but love the suggestion though 👍

Great work Diesel, I was considering the same in my px3 Ranger however just made a small section to mount my fridge slide too as opposed to a full false floor. Keep up the great vids mate. Love your work

I used rim nuts, mate, it's soiled, and I'm really happy with the way it came out

How are you finding the adhesive, is the carpet still stuck down alright? Im looking use similar materials to build a false floor in an isuzu mux, but use tie down straps to hold it in place so i can remove it when not camping.

@@craig5147 hi mate, I did consider using the tie down points but thought bugger it, I'll fix the bastard in!
While it's only been a month I found it all has gone together well. Time will tell the true story but it does feel like it was the right choice at this point 👍
