I come from a military background and I love MREs when I found this channel a few days ago I became determined and watch all of his videos and can say I have the upmost respect for this man for doing this I wish I could taste what history tasted like. You're one of the best MRE reviewers honestly. You seem like a super nice guy, you describe the flavors really well and I can tell you really love this stuff. The music in the intro and outro is very relaxing and for some reason your "alright, cool, see ya" at the end always makes me feel at ease.

I've been trying to figure out why these videos are so. . Nice. I think it's the simple fact that some chill dude somewhere is able to find simple joy in messing with stupid old rotten MRE's. That and the asmr angle, but mostly that the world is completely f'd up and Steve is able to find a bit of happiness in powdered chicken soup and share it with us.
You're videos are my new favorite thing on RUclips. I've always loved military rations because they intrigue me, still like them even after having to eat them for a week during BMT! But anyway I hope you keep putting videos up for long time! Rock on!

I've been watching your videos for a while.I actually started watching military ration reviews while looking for a Brazilian military ration review (i didnt really find any) but then i found one where you ate a ration from 1955 (i think that was it) and i liked how you ate it even though it didnt taste that good. I don't know why but i really enjoy seeing you opening the rations (specially the old ones, it's pretty fascinating) and commenting on how they taste or smell like, and while watching i always end up snacking, lol. I also like how you say something smells "gnarly" sometimes, i think your reviews are really refreshing and fun to watch and they always get me in a good mood. Thanks for doing them!
