as someone who isn’t a part of the lgbtq+ community, i still relate to this. a large majority of my friends are gay, bisexual, lesbian or transgender and i know they love this! her voice is just so pure it just makes me want to cry but it an amazing song, whether you’re part of the community or just in general, it’s beautiful and remember, everyone is different and everyone deserves love forever and always. 🥺❤️

I cry every time I listen to this song. I live in Turkey and even though I'm just 15 years old I've been aware of the fact that I'm queer since I was 11. I hated myself for this so much that I thought everybody would hate me. Approximately 30 people know that I'm queer and only one of them is homophobic. All my friends are open minded and they support me no matter what. I just wish everybody were like them. My parents aren't really homophobic that much but they say every single thing the parents say in this song and it hurts so bad. I value them more than all of my friends and knowing that they don't support me... I've never really been that close to them and just when I get close to them every goddamn thing said in this song happens. But I'm actually thinking about coming out to them as I've never had the chance to as they found out by forcefully reading all of my messages. I've had some pretty shitty things happen to me but I couldn't care less. I am done living with fear. This is me and if people don't like it they can fuck off. It's my life and I am going to live it freely and truthfully. I wish good luck to anyone out there. Be brave. That's the only way. It is gonna hurt at first but the pain gets numb after a while.

I was thirteen when I realised I liked both Barbie and Ken. The realisation that I was different than others was scary in itself, I took me a while to come to terms and accept myself for who I was. My ex-bsf asked me if I was bisexual and I was so freaking scared when she asked but, I plucked up the courage and told her I was and she accepted me. Now I'm 15 and I came out to my mum a few months ago.
The anxiety ate at me as we sat outside, she waited for me to speak and I finally went with it and told her I liked boys and girls. She froze up and I started crying. “My baby, I don't care who you love. It's your life and I'll continue to love you bc your my daughter.” is what she said when I told her.
Just know to anyone who is apart of the lgbtq+ community, I love you. Love who you want and don't let anyone tell you that it's not okay bc it's perfectly okay to love a Barbie or a Ken and whoever doesn't support or accept you even if it's your parents, fuck their opinion. This is your life. Not theirs. Live and love however or whoever you want it does not matter. I promise you there are people out there who are willing to accept you guys, okay?. There are so many marginal groups of people in this world, it’s a totally stereotypical society that doesn’t accept when you’re not in their ideal stereotype. People will say you are too young, people will say it’s wrong, people will say that you’re not right in the head because YOU aren’t like them, and that frightens them. But Gosh Damn let me tell you, you are fucking beautiful inside and out. I kept saying to myself that i couldn't be non straight, that it was just a silly thought, that it was a phase. I finally embraced my identity andi came out to my sister (my twin sis is bisexual too, so we came out at each other at the same time) my brother, my friends, & my mom.
