I'm 73 and still can't get enough of them! 😆
One of rock's greatest singing groups of all time.
Another early favorite of mine!
That’s George singing
What a great rhythm section! Great drums and bass!
There's a brand new Beatles song out right now called Now and Then that you should check out, along with the story of how it came to be.
The Beatles showing their appreciation for American R & B. Like 'he did on Chains' from their previous debut album, George takes the Lead vocal on another 1960's American Girl Group, The Donay's. (Chains was recorded by The Cookies). This was performed a lot by the Beatles right up tp their arrival in North America in Feb 1964. Sadly the song disappeared from their Live set lists by the end of 1963. Great reaction JAYY!! (as always) RNB
Love for The Beatles, forever.
George did a great lead on this one, and the harmonies of John and Paul are exquisite. Love this band.
Well they did 13 albums,so there is a wealth of classics to choose from-enjoy Ms.Jayy we enjoy your reactions
Oh my goodness, I haven't heard this little gem in a long while!! Great reaction....probably because I wholeheartedly agree with you that you can't get enough of them! Loved this one, Miss Jayy!! 😊
Jay! You are amazing and I love your appreciation of these early gems along with their later masterpieces. Keep it up honey! You’re doing a fantastic job. Please get to “If I Fell” soon. You will love the harmonies. I’ve been listening to the Beatles for 60 years and I still can’t get enough of them either. It’s perfectly normal. And it’s great that the next Beatles song you hear will never sound like the last one you heard. Rock on. 🌺✌️
In England this one was released on With the Beatles, but we first heard it in the States on The Beatles Second Album. A great vocal from Mr. Harrison, and one of those songs that brings me back to the height of Beatlemania.
When you can pick out who's singing and know which instruments they play, your into the Beatles.
"I just can't get enough of the Beatles." And...welcome to Beatlemania. And the pure joy in discovering them later in life is seeing how their music evolved. It was always fantastic, but it transcended that by the mid-60s and became stunningly brilliant. We will not seek their like for a very long time.
The well is deep, with the Beatles, and most songs catch people by surprise with the thought that all of these songs were so diverse. A few you would absolutely love, if you haven't already responded to them (all are from the more ballad-like side of the Beatles); as others have said, "If I Fell"; some other beauties: "And I love Her", "Michelle", "Because", and "Long, Long, Long".
It's so fun to see you and other young people fall in love with the Beatles' music. I sure enjoy your delighted reactions, Jayy. I've loved these songs all of my life.
Question: Do you find yourself going back to these songs later, and, perhaps creating a playlist? If so, any that have become favorites??
Adios, for now! Cheers!
John & Paul wrote this one for George. You should listen to the first song George wrote, "Don't Bother Me," from their second album.
they didn't write this
@@pmsfar-outgrooviness8025 You're correct. I must have been confused with another song.
@@krisdoggett483 maybe Do You Want to Know a Secret or I'm Happy Just to Dance with You
@@pmsfar-outgrooviness8025 Do You Want to Know A Secret. That's the one!
Most of the Beatle's first recordings were covers.
It’s the 6th of November 2023 and The Beatles are at No.1 on the official UK charts as well as the iTunes chart with their new single ‘Now And Then’’. Amazing!
Just wanted the joy of typing that😊
This song is in The Beatles cartoon TV show. The Jackson 5 & Osmonds had Saturday morning cartoon programs too.
Fave early less well known Beatles tunes include Any Time At All, This Boy, I’m a loser, then there’s all the epic classics Please Mr Postman is so good
I was living in the same town as Linda Blair when I first heard this song. True.
They were simply ear candy!
Back in the mid '70s, John Lennon and Paul McCartney saw each other for the last time. John said to Paul as he left, "think of me now and then, old friend."
John recorded a song called "Now and Then" on a cassette recorder while playing piano and wrote on the cassette, For Paul. In 1994 the remain Beatles tried to finish the song but they couldn't hear John because if the piano. Last year, director, Peter Jackson came up with AI that separated the voice from the piano. Paul and Ringo finished the song, a couple of days ago a new video of The Beatles was released. Paul finished "Now and Then" for John. That song is #1 in the US and the UK.
Jayy, you obviously needed to be a teenage girl in 1964😊
I AGREE, Jayy would have fit right in with us who were teenagers in 1964 like I was.
I LIKE NOW & THEN(THE BEATLES)😎
This appeared in the USA on The Beatles Second Album in Spring 1964, after the USA version of the English album With the Beatles, called Meet the Beatles [same cover photo shown on With the Beatles]. This was on Capital records lable. Often Geroge used fancier chords than most bands did back then...he knew more jazz chords in a rock band than anybody, dimisihed chords, Major ninth chords....like the ones you hear throughout the song and at the end...
Ringo was standing. :)
❤
How would you like to say once in your life:
"Hey let's listen to the LATEST Beatles song, called: Now and Then"
I said that to myself and listened in the last few days of it's release. I am most impressed. No it is not better than some of their classics, but it is still very good. Have fun Jayy!
Songs the girls swooned by... these first two albums are full of jewels like this, and these are why people love to travel back these years. When you devour albums, you'll stop counting, too.
The new Beatles turn is really awesome, paul and ringo have used old footage and words if the other 2 Beatles to make new music ❤
Thought you'd be more on top of the brand new released song by the Beatles "Now and Then" Jayy. Plz get your reaction uploaded.
