No matter how far you go back - even In Spite of All the Danger - their harmonies are masterful. Later they learned to apply the same type of voice leading to their instruments and arrangements, but it was there from the start.
In my opinion, George sounds his best when he is singing other people's songs. His vocal approach on his own work with the Beatles is more subdued. More shy.
You’re right! And he sounds GREAT in some of the early live recordings, for example the Decca tapes (listen to ‘take good care of my baby’) and many tracks on Live at the BBC. So maybe it was both shyness about his own material and... the EMI Studio 2? I guess? That made his vocals more shy. Strange.
She's got the devil in her heart But her eyes they tantalize She's gonna tear your heart apart Oh, her lips they really thrill me I'll take my chances For romance is So important to me She'll never hurt me She won't desert me She's an angel sent to me She's got the devil in her heart No, no, this I can't believe She's gonna tear your heart apart No, no, nay, will she deceive I can't believe that she'll ever ever go Not when she hugs me and says she loves me so She'll never hurt me She won't desert me Listen, can't you see She's got the devil in her heart Oh, no, no, no, this I can't believe She's gonna tear your heart apart No, no, nay, will she deceive Don't take chances if your romance is So important to you She'll never hurt me She won't desert me She's an angel sent to me She's got the devil in her heart Oh, no, no, no, no, this I can't believe She's gonna tear your heart apart No, no, nay, will she deceive She's got the devil in her heart No, she's an angel sent to me She's got the devil in her heart No, she's an angel sent to me
This is a cover of “Devil in His Heart” by The Donays, originally released in 1962. It was written by Richard Drapkin, AKA “Ricky Dee.” The Beatles' version was recorded on July 18, 1963, along with other cover songs, such as “Money (That’s What I Want)” and “You Really Got a Hold on Me.” It isn’t clear whose idea it was to change “his” to “her,” but George Harrison took on lead vocal duties.

The isolated vocals just emphasizes the beauty of the harmonizing. Great song!
All their harmonies are superb.
Always loved this song & the harmonies but this is when I fell in love with George Harrison & wanted to marry him ❤️.
Always been one of my favorite Beatles songs because of those fantastic 3-part harmonies !!
Would like to listen to George every hour of a day 🥺❤️
Love these harmonies. ❤️
One of the best George vocals
She's got the devil in her heart
But her eyes they tantalize
She's gonna tear your heart apart
Oh, her lips they really thrill me
I'll take my chances
For romance is
So important to me
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
She's an angel sent to me
She's got the devil in her heart
No, no, this I can't believe
She's gonna tear your heart apart
No, no, nay, will she deceive
I can't believe that she'll ever ever go
Not when she hugs me and says she loves me so
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
Listen, can't you see
She's got the devil in her heart
Oh, no, no, no, this I can't believe
She's gonna tear your heart apart
No, no, nay, will she deceive
Don't take chances if your romance is
So important to you
She'll never hurt me
She won't desert me
She's an angel sent to me
She's got the devil in her heart
Oh, no, no, no, no, this I can't believe
She's gonna tear your heart apart
No, no, nay, will she deceive
She's got the devil in her heart
No, she's an angel sent to me
She's got the devil in her heart
No, she's an angel sent to me
This made me smile

A Motown pearl.
Thank you very much, very helpful
great !!!
What is making that squeaky noise? Is it artifacts of RUclips’s compression or something in their studio recording?
Not bad for a gang of garage rockers with no formal training. Except no substitutes.
Uhuuuuuuuuu love them
Viva Frudua!!!
2:02 es Paul?
George
First One!!!! Pin Me:)
With all due respect, such singing parts are not for Harrison's voice, although he conveyed the mood and emotions as well as possible.
GooD)))))))
Are we listening to the same song??
