Add the Allison Rally in Tennessee to your schedule. It's always in June on the Tennessee River. Love the Viper. Great video!

Boat building sure is a learning process! I like the curved transom, definitely unique for a stream.

I've always liked my old sleeper of a boat, It was an old Mckee craft 14-ft that I redid the transom to handle another engine { I had to make a new transom to call it a homemade boat also} and redo the inside of the floor, I put a 1965 4cyl, 85 hp merc with upgraded carbs and fuel pump and not to mention the engine had next to no hours on it when I got it and it came with a jet drive but I put a 15p solid hub stainless prop on a slim "racing" lower unit. It had to do over at least 70mph.

it’ll be awesome when it’s done! I’ve got a vector that was redone probably 20yrs ago n it’ll be needing it soon again. I’ve never done a Hydrostream so I appreciate the video!
Normally when I do a transom put all the boards in first n screw them together. With some drywall screws. Then take them apart and wet the transom, add glass, wet it,roll it, add the wood, wet it, add glass, wet it,roll it, n then add the next piece n screw it down to the same holes n repeat. I start with some screws in the middle, n work my way out so to squeeze the air towards the outside, make sure the heads are buried so they aren’t holding the next piece out.. after u get the 3rd piece on (or last one)I clamp the top n put some screws through the jack plate holes to suck it tight against the hull.
Same on the core, paint the bottom, add mat, , wet it n add the core. Get some evenly weighted items to set on it cause u can’t screw or clamp it.
I’m a big fan of your videos n I look forward to seeing the rest of your build.

Loved this video. Now if we cld have some more wall arounds mixed in w the usual river runs then you wld have a really good mix of material.

Question I’m in the market for a hydro stream but no one has a title or the numbers don’t match is that a real issue with these boats

Thats awesome man! Working on a shadow tunnel hull rebuild myself right now. Check it out on my channel when you have time. We may run into each other at some point once the build is done. I plan on racing it at least once before the fishing gear goes into it lol!

Polyester resin is not the proper resin for this job if you want to do it correctly. Polyester is not a good adhesive especially on a transom to support a heavy outboard with all the stress and shock loads it will have to endure. You should have used Epoxy resin, but it's too late now. Watch out for delamination in the future.
