      @@johnrimmer5955 Thank you John I really do appreciate it. I am currently at the boat as I write this, I'm sanding the keel back with 120grit I hit it with 60g last night got rid of the high spots skimmed it with filler now I'm flatting that back I'm really hoping to get the hull primed today I will see how I get on. I don't want to rush it so if it's not good enough I will need to fill more ans just try paint next weekend unfortunately.
      Thanks for watching there should be a new video out on the boat restoration in the next few weeks hopefully.
      Thanks Dave

    Good work on the repair. It's going to be a boat to be proud of when you're done. Spray first and then flip before starting on inside. Getting paint on the outside is going to be a huge moral booster to you going ahead on the project.
    Don't rush it, the end result will be so much better when you’re done. Thanks for taking the time to clearly explain what you're doing whilst being under the restrictions of resin working times.

      Thank you for your comment people like you watching ans commenting make it worth taking the time to explain things so thank you. I do believe spraying first woeul be the way to go I agree I'm just worried about protecting it when I flip it back and get it on the trailer

      @@C3BFA That's always a risk, but spraying once it has been flipped will be harder to do on outside of hull. Neither way will be a doodle but I'm sure you'll be making a top job whatever you decide.

    That’s a great repair job and well explained. I would think it’s easier to paint it now then flip it not sure tho

    Proper job. I think I would be inclined to spray in separate sessions, nothing worse than something not going right and having to do the entire thing again as opposed to just doing a section again.

      Thanks Rob. I think I may have to spray it all at the end I dont think it's the best idea to spray on my back when doing hull it will be hard work but think I may have to

    Hi Dave. Wouldn't be able to resist spraying the hull, then flip it carefully. For me, it would spur me on! Just my opinion! Cheers and tight lines.

    A bit of an inconvenience there Dave but very fixable. I take it you have considered re gel coating the hull as opposed to painting?

      Any thoughts on what caused the original damage?

    • @C3BFA
      @C3BFA  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks sloth. It's impossible to say really. It may of been poor work from the original mold or it could of had an impact or boat filled with water while on a trailer. All I knkw is if I didn't grind the whole crack out it would of showed through the paint eventually do it had to go but numpty here makes it 10x worse 🙄🙄🙄😭😭
