I'm finally back. Life was lifing but we are good now and back at it. Continuing our journey in Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC, and getting absolutely lost... Until we finally encounter, Bayle The Dread.

This dragon seereax is the reason why Placudisax in OG only has 2 heads and is leaking with some injuries.
Oh yeah this dragon has some sick Lore. He led a rebellion against Placidusax and both walked away with massive injuries.

Little Lore drop here: remember when you fought placidusax and he had 5 necks but only 2 heads, Bayle is the reason for that and of course Placi is the reason why Bayle is quite literally missing an arm and a leg
placidusax only had 4 heards as can be seen on the old lord's talisman
@@xlegacyzero8878 He has 5 stumps though, also data miners found names for each head, which was 5 heads.
There was Male_Neck, Female_Neck, Front_Cut_Neck, R_Cut_Neck and L_Cut_Neck
Not sure why the Talisman has 4 heads, it was under question since people found it.
it’s pretty easy to speculate that he was maybe missing a head when the talisman was depicted, we know he probably had a lot of scraps as the prehistoric elden lord

I knew Deion wouldn’t summon Igon with his no summons playstyle, but hopefully when he does redo this quest he does Igon’s short side story and gets to hear everyone’s favorite voice line in this DLC. Glad to have you back man.

Even if he had progressed that quest, his refusal to use summons would have prevented him from hearing the battle monologue anyway.
At this point I don’t want him to change his weapon. The pay off will be worth it.

The implication that Miquella's compelling ability was used by him not just on people who were enemies to him,
but was also used on his most fanatical followers to prevent them from hurting others in his name, is insane. Miquella had to have known how zealous some of his followers were.
As soon as Needle Knight Leda isn't compelled, she almost *immediately* is willing to kill her former allies "for Miquella." His spell was preventing her from doing some crazy isht.

He enchanted her after she had killed all the other needle nights, she must have been extremely scary

There is something I will always appreciate Deion for and that is his choice in music progression. Not only does he just have great music for the moments, he also knows when to use the in-game music for those explosive cinematic moments. I'm so glad he let Bayle's theme play out the first time he fought him. And when he got him to that second phase, he switched the music back so we could hear the masterpiece that is Bayle's second phase music. It really set the scene. Too bad we didn't get to hear Igon's speech, but I am so grateful that Deion has so much appreciation for Elden Ring's soundtrack that he does these little edits. Thank you for being your own greatest editor man, keep up the great videos and beat this dlc.

Edit (after the Bayle phase switch): I 100% agree, imo Bayle is by far and away the coolest looking boss (Visually). In all of fromsoftware history they've peaked with this one. There definitely are cooler or better bosses narrative or impact wise but nothing will ever top seeing the Bayle's wings flap open and the absolutely INSANE talon explosion (when you see his broken arm smash the ground and the ground literally erupts as you're blinded by the most powerful looking lightning storm ever is the fuckin coolest and having the lightning linger for a second adds to that soooo much)

This is my first true souls game and agree its crazy how well designed this boss is from 1st to 2nd phase plus the music is fucking epic its crazy that this dragon isn't a final boss thats how well designed he his imo
Something to keep in mind is this is Bayle after being crippled by Placidusax after his attempt on the Dragon Lord's life. He took 2 or 3 of Placidusax's heads, but Placidusax took his arms and a leg from him in exchange. Imagine what this bastard could have done at his peak.
Saw someone say how almost every boss fought in this game is past their prime lore-wise. Not sure how big the world is of Elden Ring, but other places are probably fortunate that all these characters weren’t on the same team and sought out conquest.

Two actually. Bayle took two of his heads and left him with some wounds, but Placi took his leg, his arm, and wings.
It was a stand still they both did serious damage to each other

That winning run was amazing. Bayle is such an amazing boss. Both visually and mechanically one of the best from the DLC. I'm kinda sad that you didn't get to do Igon's questline. I know you don't summon, but it would've been awesome seeing you react to his dialogue. Truly, the definition of a man too angry to die.

Crazy thing about Bayle is, you can consume the dragon hearts for dragonic powers, but his is the only one that doesnt fully submit to you. His will or something lives on inside you, and you'll eventually become Bayle himself.
Guess it makes sense. It doesn’t even look like he dies in his animation.

This was hands down the most epic dragon fight ive seen in a game. Im about to get the game just for this fight
BTW since you missed the Dragon Communion lady, this dragon and Placidusax fought, that's why Placidusax has only 2 out of his 5 heads and why Bayle has no real wings and a missing leg, that why he has a bone sticking out, it used to be a wing
I didn’t notice until someone pointed it out, (mostly because I was fighting for my life and didn’t have time to check out little details😂) but if you look at the back of Bayle’s neck there are the two missing heads of Placidusax, from when they fought, still biting him. He took two of his heads off during their fight and Placidusax took his leg and wings off.
Seeing how hard it was for Deion to break Bayles stance made me realize just how much Igon was actually doing for me in this fight
this dlc made me realize that bosses with no cut-Cene into their 2nd faze are truly terrifying

Bayle and Placidussax are both the Giga Chad dragons, they’re both really wounded because Bayle betrayed him and they ripped each other to pieces before both fleeing
