My girlfriend is currently in the hospital (nothing very serious, smaller accident) and its night time here so i can’t be with her right now. I just asked her if everything is okay, feeling alright, what does she need in the morning, etc. She just replied that you just released a new Elden Ring video so she’s having fun, lmao. Burning the tree locks you out of 90% of the quests, since this is a blind playthrough that might not mean as much here as it would for other people but it's still something to consider

@@nicholastroxell8467When you defeat Messmer and Romina you get the option to burn a tree beyond her boss arena. If you plan on finishing any side quests do so before this, or else you will need to do the dlc on NG+ to start/complete any you missed.

Midra was the exact same for me man. Within like 3 attempts I had every move down and also was like dude I love this perfect like dance of a fight… and for some dumbass reason I died to him for like 30 min after that even though I no longer was being surprised by any of his moves. Elden Ring just be like that bro. That’s how Horah Loux was for me too. Godfrey is one of the best fights in the whole game then phase 2 he always fucks me up idk what it is

What terrified me the most was the player messages regarding some of these monsters and hoe you can't summon the steed cause it's "too scared"

TBH I loved this whole area and fight it was a bit spacey but it was so interesting to suddenly be in a horror game in my fantasy adventure!
Also in terms of bosses midra is one of my faves for the dlc, while most dlc bosses are insane to try and play against (cough cough rellana) but there's a flow to it, which is so cool to me because its talked about how frenzy flame is chaos but also calming in its encompassing flame, which is reflected in the fires going nuts but you and midra are essentially dancing eloquently
Midra was by far an unexpected boss. Fighting him felt fun and despite his moves being confusing (for me). I think he has one of the best arenas in the game (Next to the final boss of course)

I love that for whatever reason deions editor uses Monster Hunter music for boss fights. Its always a treat getting to hear zinogre, Teostra, and Rajangs themes pop in and out of these videos
They're banger music nothing else to say.
And quite a few final fantasy music, heard some crisis core music in the vid before

The Abyssal Woods is my favorite area in any Fromsoftware game I have played.
They put you in a position where it's "you play by these rules now or you don't play" and did it in a way where it wasn't annoying or badly done. Given only a few messages. "Don't let it see you." "If it See's you, it's already too late."
They put you in a situation you haven't been in ever before. You can't run from it, you can't fight it. You can only hide.
The atmosphere of the woods sets the tone of 'this is not somewhere you should be'. Everything in these woods is affected by the Frenzy Flame. It's dark and there's a fog that gets thicker and thicker the closer you get to the mansion.
When you get to the mansion the first thing you see at the entrance is a row of headless corpses with golden spikes rammed down the neck holes.
Fromsoftware absolutely nailed it with this area and I love it
...then the whole thing is kinda ruined by the fact you can parry the Winter Lantern's grab and this lets you kill them. It's how you get the new Madness Exultation Talisman.
This is going to be hit or miss for a lot of people. Personally, this is one of my least favorite areas in fromsoft games. It discourages exploration , despite having a huge area that is essentially one big status effect place just like the lake of Rot. Not to mention that most of it is vastly empty when compared to the rest of the DLC. I think this area could have been saved if after you beat the boss you could freely explore the forest as a reward.
This may surprise you but you actually can fight those invincible enemies, you just have to parry their one shot attack, I didn’t figure this out till my brother told me he beat almost every single one of them by parrying them

he's a pretty fair boss fight tbh, I always enjoy helping others fight him in particular
but after he teaches you how to do the stinky leg.
I understand what Seereax was saying even when I died to him few times I could tell he wasn’t that strong

I wish I could experience this area for the first time again. The horror aspects of this area are perfect: the ambience alone is unsettling, and then you hear the Untouchables breathing and see them down the way. And Midra himself has so much flair and uncanny grace to his movements, making him easily one of my favorite bosses of the DLC.
He's met two of my favorites: now I can't wait for him to meet the third. An encounter with the sublime awaits.

Yeah all these bosses were designed to crush our spirit’s because I find that most of them expect the final boss to be on Malenia level. Because the final boss is just a horror game given form.
Honestly I put Melania far above due to the bs she has. I loved these dlc bosses and hated her bossfight. They literally can’t touch her level because they don’t heal on hit and don’t have flipping waterfowl bullshit

Man these Elden ring videos have become part of my morning routine everyday I wake up in the morning where I live and I watch the new video that dropped while eating breakfast I always wonder which next big boss you’re gonna encounter
I'm only halfway through the video so idk if you'll maybe see it later on, but I think you missed the little easter egg that happens if you ride Torrent towards the abyssal woods immediately after defeating the elder inquisitor guy. Once you ride towards the woods far enough, Torrent suddenly throws you off and dissappears. If you try to summon him, there's a message that says "The spectral steed is frightened and cannot be summoned", meaning just the mere presence of the three fingers/frenzied flame is overwhelmingly strong in the abyssal woods

Mans been going hard in this Elden Ring series PUT SOME RESPECT ON THE BOWER.
The shadow arc continues with yet another beautiful battle. This time it's discount Sarumon versus the elden lord. The king of frenzied flame may be powerful yet Captain Cranium doesn't give up that easily. It was a close and respectable battle indeed but Seereax, the one true elden lord will not be snuffed out by some meager flame.
Personally I think Sauron's the tarnished but you do you with which one you see works better

Poise regenerates after a certain amount of time without taking hits so enemies with low poise may seem like they have a lot if you are not consistently hitting them by which you have between 6-15 seconds based on how much poise they have to deal any form of damage before it regenerates

Don't know if you'll see this, but there is a really cool head piece of armor that I think you'll like. It's north of Moores ruin (I think I said it right) and you have to fight a big red bear, once you beat it, it'll drop the helmet.
