Nah those heads bit onto bayle and he cut them off before the jaws loosened, so they stayed stuck on him im pretty sure. Basically it was a brutal fight between them
@@olivercillian he is basically the Dragon-Satan of Elden ring And it makes sense that dragon communion hunts these drakes They are offsprings of Bayle's line afterall and Placi wants them gone
Couple little tips: 1. I don't like using summons either, but Igon is worth summoning, even if it's only once. Not for his help (he actually doesn't really help much at all), but for his voice lines. 2. Bayle's fight is designed for you to attack his head, unlike most dragons in the game. He keeps his head at ground level for most of the fight, and it does 50% more damage or something like that. You can also see a lot more of what he's doing if you focus on his head.
for anyone else who sees this: try a weapon with giant hunt. the up-thrust can hit bayle (and most other huge enemies) when their vulnerable bits are out of reach of most other attacks
I respect that you want to 1v1 these bosses, but you should ABSOLUTELY summon Igon. He heightens the experience of the boss fight so much. His voice lines are iconic
Igon just serves as your personal Hypeman in this fight, for the sake of your sanity Summon him, I promise you'll do better with him constantly cheering you on.
Watching this guy do all that while heavily injured makes me realize dude was definitely strong enough to take on Placidusax. If Bayle was a slightly weaker dragon I don't think he would've survived losing a duel against the dragonlord.
So apparently the reason for Bayle missing some limbs is because he got into a fight with Placidusax and that is why Placidusax is missing some of his heads.
I did cheese Senessax in one of my playthroughs, I'll admit it. I Enhanced Shot him in the face with lightning arrows and just backed up towards the area exit as he walked toward me until he reset, and repeated that until he was dead.
By the way that aerial attack with the breath and the explosions can be dodged but it’s very situational. You can’t get hit prior at all. As soon as you’ve dodged the first breath, start running away from the second breath, like towards your own camera and roll away from the second breath. Then just keep rolling and pray that you aren’t running into a wall and that you covered enough distance. Worked a few times for me but like I said, it’s very situational
CURSE YOU BAYLE! I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY! BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! AND I, IGON! YOUR FEAR MADE FLESH! SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON... BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR ROTTEN HIDE! WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS! WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!
Sometimes running toward danger is how you avoid it. That’s how I avoided his second flying burst, if I remember right. Go for the head. You can stagger him; knock him down. It takes him a second to get up, too. But mostly you need your hype man, Igon.
when he spawns wings and leaps up to hurl fireballs at you, just run sideways. The fireballs will all miss and let you time the dodge when he lands. Also, when he flies up to do the double flame nuke breath, you need to dodge into the flames. It is not the easiest dodge, you need to get the timing right.
Took about a dozen tries. First was without any scadu… and you can guess how that turned out. Went against him for the first time yesterday, tried a couple times with helpers, ended up doing it myself to avoid the health bar buff and actually got him. Playing an intel build, lot of ranni moons, archer’s mastery of whatever it’s called, and Audula’s moonblade, while using Rennala’s staff. Had tiche ranking around to draw its attention with igon. So many times I got so close, only for that dreadful sack of meat to turn and drop on me. But I did it. I may of shouted I’m a dragonslayer after words and went and spanked Gideon afterwords, just for some extra fun..
I also beat Midir first try, tho it was almost a pure miracle. Had a sliver of health left and somehow dodged him and staggered him for a kill shot. Bayle took like 6 tries. Radahn…like 100+ lmao
Use the dragon hunter katana it does like an additional 20% damage to dragons plus if you charge it acts as a projectile. And aim for the head it deals more damage
27:40 it would be unfair if the boss could only be hit on the legs, but if you attack the head (which is a well known weakness for fromsoft dragons) you see everything perfect. Attacking the legs has drawbacks, but is easier than the head cause you don't have to dodge that many attacks
Yeah I don’t think I ever learned to 100% dodge that flying flame breath double attack. You dodge the line itself but then get hit by the splash damage. Thankfully getting hit by both was never an auto wipe for me though.
Bayle is actually super resistant to slashing damage, so by using two slashing weapons, you’re making the fight way harder. Not that I can blame you though. When I fought Bayle, I was dual wielding swords of Night and Flame. The swords do a combination of slashing, fire, and magic, which are the three damage types that Bayle resists the most. Still beat him.
I know you you’re loving this DLC. Because of you showcasing Elden ring, I’ve actually purchased it, and I can’t wait to start acting life within the hour. With that said, any plans on finishing up stellar?
Try using the Dragon Hunters Great Katana weapon It deals more damage to dragons and the special attack makes hitting his head easier You should scale with the sword nicely with your current build
I don't get why some ppl refuse to use summons when fighting bosses their first playthrough, that's the only time I do it. I use anything at my disposal for my first playthrough, bc if they didn't want you to use them, they wouldn't be available in a Souls game. After I play through the game once, then I do it without Summons on my NG+1 playthrough.
The DLC hasn't been that bad so far on difficulty for me so far, but I do have over 300 hours with my character and he is a level 380 now, a strength/faith build. So far I've been able to beat every boss with a couple tries, but I know when I get to Radahn, it's going to be another story, I took a peak at that footage and it looks tough.
Personally, Midir was more difficult for me compared to Bayle. It took me about 10 attempts to kill Bayle while it took me 30+ attempts to kill Midir. For me, Midir was the hardest DS3 boss since it only took me less than 10 tries killing Slaveknight Gael.
You missing out an insane Voice actor performance by not summoning Igon😦
For real I was hoping he would see the summon sign
Dude was asked for like a 6 and took it to an 11 out of 10
Yeah, Bayle without Igon just ain't the same
@jayrock2288 it's actually really hard to see that summon sign lol
@@ironmaiden93ofangmaryeah I never saw it 🤷♂️
Just summon Igon once and you'll win. Not because Igon is strong, but he's the best hype man you could ask for.
This is so true😂
Igon really is the only in npc that literally everyone can agree that summoning him is a good idea
Summoning Igon is like summoning for Radahn in the base game. It feels right to do it.
Facts lol 🤣
Bros gonna lose his shit when he gets to the final boss
Imao yeah😂😂😂
That’s why I’m here
final boss waiting room right here
Not a single person who fought the last boss prevented themselves from losing their shit.
Oh god 😭
Igon is a free pass summon he is the ultimate hype man for the Bayle fight
Fun fact: Bayle lost his wings and leg while fighting Placidusax. He also tore off 2-3 of Placidusax’s heads and wore them on his neck.
Nah those heads bit onto bayle and he cut them off before the jaws loosened, so they stayed stuck on him im pretty sure. Basically it was a brutal fight between them

Hope he sees this lol, Igon is sick and Bayles attacks become infinitely more readable when you’re attacking his head
I noticed that when I was using the rock through incantation. Huge damage to the head
Dude I would totally do that if the dragon didn't charge on me and putting me either on the wall or under him!! Super shity compared to Midir...
Yeah, he’s exactly like Midir at the end of the day. The body is indeed a bigger hitbox, but you stagger him easier with headshots
for anyone else who sees this: try a weapon with giant hunt. the up-thrust can hit bayle (and most other huge enemies) when their vulnerable bits are out of reach of most other attacks
you gotta summon igon bro, do it
not because the boss is too hard, it's just that he's way too cool to not summon
