@@Liponb2 I meant 80. Yeah I'm actually playing for the first time right now, I might be a wee bit overleveled, I'm at like 75, just now doing upper cathedral ward.
Maybe I’m just old but why do ya’ll use that word incorrectly every time? “Yo bro, that chick is low key fire!” I think that’s the opposite of low key.
*Me, having played the game a million times.* "Of course the Chikage does no damage, you haven't leveled it up... What would make you think a base Chikage would do more damage than the weapons you've leveled up?" "Uhh, of course the regular attacks don't do anything to the water professor enemies, they're weak to thrust so thrust attacks are best." *Then I remember you're playing this for the first time and I'm being rude AF.* You're doing GREAT!!! Keep it up! Lol.
Ebrietas has a really hard time hitting you if you just park yourself between her two tails. Also, from the damage youre doing, it seems like you can upgrade your weapon. And future reference, fire is super good against the beast bosses (that have fur) while the lightning is great against everything else. Might help ya out. :)
You're hella underrated bro, I recently started playing elden ring so I got into a habit of binge watching people play different souls games and found you, keep up the great work
I brought in Valtr for Laurence so I could get the Vermin but dude loved taking a lava bath in the final phase. Next time round I get to try without him and see how it goes.
The Winter lanterns (Weird women with eye-brains) cause Frenzy, even the moments after their death. It builds up just by looking at them and is often an instakill if the bar fills up
Bro I had the EXACT same experience as you fighting Martyr Logarius and that joy of finally being triumphant was one of the best moments I have ever felt
I laughed so hard at the end, so unlucky! I can feel your pain, it happened to me multiple times as well. But good job on Amygdala, I was surprised you did it so easily.
Love the video! Tip for you though, you would have a lot easier time with the camera on big bosses if you would move the right stick down to lock onto their bodies or limbs instead of just their head. Also you don't NEED to stay locked on the whole fight, in fact some moves and bosses are easier to fight unlocked. Also the katana you were trying to use needs a proper build to be good. Its single handed form is also very mediocre, its real power comes from its 2 handed form AKA Blood form. While the saw cleavers dmg scales mainly from strength and dexterity, the Katanas dmg scales mainly from dex and in its 2 handed form, Bloodtinge. Since your Bloodtinge is only 12 it probably won't hit very hard. Hope this helps!
Another huge detail, a large amount of your actual damage bonus with weapons in Bloodborne is determined by the Blood Gems you have in the weapon, even if he was allocated better for the Chikage, if he had better Gems in the Saw Cleaver it might still perform better. So it's possible he might've also just had his best gems in the Cleaver.
@Ecothunderbolt This is very true, however overall i think the saw cleaver is just better in general even with top gem setups. Chikage is very fun though.
@Osiris Avra personally i don't use lock at all for most bosses but i know alot of people don't like playing unlocked so i thought that advice was better suited. I do agree with you though.
Quick tips for the Ebrietas fight: - Try to stay behind her, between her 2 tails, bring Bolt paper, and give her hell. If you need echoes to buy bolt paper, see my comment in your previous video, use the "cummmfpk" dungeon. - If you want to make the fight easier, summon Old Hunter Damian to take the heat for you during this fight. His sign is just in front of the boss area, after the lift, where the slugs are on the ground. Kill the slugs first though, because Damian will attack them, and they can cause Frenzy. They may end up draining a lot of Damian's health before the boss battle even begins. Speaking of Frenzy: that's what the Winter Lantern hits you with simply because you are in her line of sight. Look at 06:15 , upper center of the screen, see the second bar filling up under the Poison one. When that's full, about 75% of your total health goes down the drain instantly. If you are at or close to full health, you can survive. If not... your old pal "you're dead!" shows up on screen to say hello... You can counter Frenzy with Sedatives, but it's best to kill the enemy quickly before using it, because otherwise Frenzy would just build up again. You can equip the 2nd Deep Sea rune you find in the Forbidden Forest, close to 2 big Viper Nests. It will give you +200 Frenzy Resistance, so that the Frenzy bar will fill up slower. And speaking of Winter Lanterns - it seems you haven't found the secret area while going through Nightmare of Mensis, where there are 4 of those things roaming around in succession... but where you also get your first Blood Rock to upgrade your weapon to +10. Look up a video on it, 'cause it would require a lot of text to explain it all, and go get the Rock, it's well worth it! Not to mention getting the 3rd Moon rune at the end of that "side activity". Keep up the good fight! Curious to see you tacking on the DLC :D
Nicely done beating Logarius! Don't forget about your sidearm; sometimes if I've gotten a boss down to a slither of health and they're in a crazy aggressive second phase, I just shoot them until they die, no shame in it lol
Dies 100 times in the last video, complains about this boss being the hardest, gets a parry off and calls himself a genius. I freaking love this channel. No one is funnier than this dude.
At 6:13 That women enemy that you died to twice was called the winter lantern it gives you a status effect called frenzy that when the bar is full does I think about 80-90 percent of your max health I think sedatives might help with I am not sure I have never used them
The transformed mode of Chikage deals blood damage, so bloodtinge is the only stat that matters with it, damage wise. In regular mode it does physical. Regardless of what the weapon page says, physical damage only gets scaling from strength and skill, blood damage only gets scaling from bloodtinge, fire, bolt, and arcane damage get scaling from arcane. The weapon has to do whatever type of damage for the scaling of that stat to matter.
A little tip for the the first part of Ebrietas is to go in for just one or two hits to bait the head slam and the go to town on her face for some good damage
I love how during his first few reattempts at Logarius, the boss seemed to somehow know that we told Floverse about shooting the sword, and tried to protect it!!!! XD
Came from the lies of p series, but I’m binging these bloodborne videos just because they’re too entertaining. I haven’t even played the game, but your editing is top notch and criminally underrated.
to save ur sanity, before a boss you can send elevators back up by activating them and quickly running out, that way you don't have to wait for it to come up over and over when u respawn
There are two versions of this game: Bloodborne with saw cleaver, and Bloodborne with anything else. One of these is not like the other.😂 Side note, too bad the Chikage didn’t work out. It’s a really cool weapon, but you need a bloodtinge build to use it properly, and it’s the only trick weapon in the base game that scales with bloodtinge. so you either have to beat Logarius super early with no health and a sh*t weapon, or you have to play through most of the game with a suboptimal weapon, and THEN beat Logarius with said suboptimal weapon. Anyways, keep at it friend! You’re doing great, and I for one am loving the chance to relive this game through your eyes.
some tips! don’t forget to upgrade your weapon!! this will help deal some damage. it might be best to just stick with one weapon for right now. i wouldn’t go for one that uses a lot of stamina to hit. like elden ring, this game relies on builds as well. if you go with the saw cleaver, focus on your strength and skill. endurance is a good one to put echoes into as well. boosts your stamina so you can hit and dodge more. repair your weapon! this will help keep your damage up. get some good blood gems for weapons! bloodtinge for your gun and a good damage one for your cleaver. use runes! there’s one called Moon (i think) that gives you more echoes per enemy killed. there’s some that gives more damage reduction, some that gives health back per visceral you do to an enemy, etc. definitely something to look into more. parrying is important! this is basically your ‘shield’ button. it helps stun the enemy for a visceral attack. you can do some heavy damage with those attacks with the right stat and runes! don’t just blast through an area! take your time to explore and look for new areas. this can help you get more stuff to sell/more echoes to upgrade. exploring can also help you unlock shortcuts to other areas. i think that’s all for now!! hopefully this helped :)
tip, with big bosses you have to avoid locking up your enemy (pressing R3) by doing that you are in charge of the camera and you can point it wherever you want. ebrietas and amigdala are bosses so huge that they make this "gliching" camera thingy. I don't know if you are doing the "only me" bloodborne rrun (no allies in the bosses) but you have one companion per boss fight, you have to call them , if not mistaken is right next to the door of the boss fight. this dude will be your shield against ebrietas and you can hit her while she is destroying your "friend".
something that one must understand about bloodborne is that you can use whatever weapon you want because they are all equally powerful at their job only if you upgrade it tho
Awesome videos my man, I can feel the passion and relate to the frustration first playthrough gives😂 The Queen at the castle has an invite to the right that you can give Alfred🤣 The screen behind the lamp where you fought the aliens can be jumped through and leads to "A Call Beyond" the spell the hunter before Rom used. And the academy has "Augur of Ebrietas" in a chest. You already have "Executioner's gloves", but I'm not sure what your stats are. Arcane really picks up late game.
By the way, fire paper is used for bosses that aren´t like divine, for example gascoigne; and the lightning one is more useful against bosses that have something divine like Ebrietas or Amygdala
For superior movement you need to master camera control the best way to play is in a hybrid situation between locking and unlocking the camera to see the boss and position better. Still great stuff for keeping it there .

its fun seeing people struggle with bosses i thought were completely trivial. i beat logarius first try no contest, barely took any damage. idk maybe it was just the way i played but he seemed way too easy to me lmao

Then calling the daughter him the whole time. 😂 and not leaving any stamina to dodge her attack after getting plenty of swings in 😂😂 good luck the one that gave me a hard time. The hardest one was the three witches
Here's a tip: most of the beast bosses just jump around too much plus they're much bigger than ur character so the locked on camera has trouble following them or having good angles, So, for the beast bosses it's easier to not lock on & for humanoid or smaller bosses it's good to lock on. Hope this helps a bit
Just an fyi You don't *have* to be locked on to a boss :P Especially the larger bosses, it's just way easier to actually use your right stick to control the camera yourself
Ebrietas was the reason why I've stopped the game, I didn't know she was optional but after a year, I came back and destroyed the game with passion. I felt so good after beating the biggest wall I had to deal with in video game history. Even Kos wasn't that frustrating
I'm not gonna lie I really enjoy seeing people suffer to kill these bosses, but the last attempt on this video really broke my heart. He deserved that victory, I hope he doesn't give up. Bloodborne is one of the best games ever made.
Chain transform attack rather than light attack they do more damage, bolt and thrust for kin, serrated and fire for beasts also most big bosses tend to have a damage threshold for their limbs
Auntie Ebrietas is such a cool boss. Amygdala as well. With an arcane build that utilizes a Call Beyond, they were easy for me, but any boss with ads? Nope. Rom and Shadow of Yarnham took me so freaking long to get past. Martyr Logarius was also a struggle. 😅 Watching someone else struggle through this game and eventually triumph is pure copium. You got this!
The loss of 50,000 blood echoes was truly the peak of the video

Pro tip for giant bosses: don't lock on.
You can add those blood gems from the workshop to the katana to make it stronger.
I could cry at how little ebrietas health was
the blood saber (chikagai) scales off bloodtinge and bloodtinge blood gems
Chain transform attack rather than light attack they do more damage, bolt and thrust for kin, serrated and fire for beasts also most big bosses tend to have a damage threshold for their limbs
That ending was gold😂😂
The fact that i dont think he upgraded his weapons is amazing to me
THAT ENDING!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO
Small tip: fire for animals, bolt for aliens
Very entertaining ! Don't give up : )
Auntie Ebrietas is such a cool boss. Amygdala as well. With an arcane build that utilizes a Call Beyond, they were easy for me, but any boss with ads? Nope. Rom and Shadow of Yarnham took me so freaking long to get past. Martyr Logarius was also a struggle. 😅
Watching someone else struggle through this game and eventually triumph is pure copium. You got this!
