If you apologize something in a sincere and thoughtful manner, you mean your apology well and constructed it well so that you and the other person understand each other.
I accept his apology on my people. If you say that he didn't mean it, then you're speaking on lies. That's typical from you, sweing that you lied about me apparently having an obsession with a biblical prohibition.

I've always been bothered by blacks not being able to hold the priesthood, back in the day. Nor could they marry in the temple, from what I remember? I asked questions, to several knowledgeable people, from when I was a little girl, about , why not?' And, never once was I given an answer that 'felt right'...

With Covid the church has had to release more talks on the internet to reach its people. It’s a double edged sword. Keep things in person and not reach people because of Covid restrictions or broadcast your talks and the outside world will hear what you actually preach.

I can't listen to this without wondering what he was actually trying to say. To me, it's obvious that his message was intended to be something like: the priesthood was gone for over a thousand years, so having to wait over 150 years is little in comparison. His "whites" reference was a disastrous slip-up. I think, and I suspect that's what he meant by "serious mistake." But even then, the message still reinforces the original church teachings that black people were somehow inferior or unworthy and deserved to be kept apart from white people. At best, it shows complete insensitivity to racial issues and at worst it shows an inherent belief that some people are better than others.

All that is shown in the news clip about blacks is him impersonating a student with an attitude asking a legitimate question about why they did not receive the priesthood until 1978. That's it.
There is no need for an apology based on what's in this video clip. So I'm thinking there must be more to the story.
