    I take this bus, and honest to seriously if it bothers you that much take the bus instead of driving your car you might find it’s actually healthier for your gas bill.

    Super sonic hearing 😂 just people complaining about something. Just the wrong solution for transportation. How is it wrong? Cause there's not a lot of people using it yet. I bet those people that do use it, are thankful for having it go through the neighborhood

      As someone on the Spectrum I understand the sensitive hearing piece and how distracting it can be, especially as someone who likes transit. Same time, I don't see a difference between buses here and downtown traffic (for example), or buses and garbage trucks and people that floor their trucks, as far as noise goes. Sometimes noise-cancelling/noise-reducing headphones and background music help me not hear certain noises -- a suggestion for that family if they haven't tried it already.

    Same people that complain about 25mph being too fast... 🙄 When kids aren't playing in front yards and almost no one walking on sidewalks.
    (I drive around a LOT and so know about the lack of pedestrians 🤦 just control freaks)

    I feel bad for the woman who has a child with Autism, but we never look at an empty road and point out it's underutilized. It's a double standard to demand a bus must always be full when we don't demand the same thing about our roads.

    UTA. its not a ghost bus, if you see a older bus that is 30 years old with the original Utah scheme on it, then yes it would be a ghost bus.

    This is one of the funniest news segments I have ever seen in my life. It seems like satire, and something you’d see on the Onion. What a privileged country we live in where such nonsense makes it on the news. The title of this news article should be, “old people in the avenues with nothing to do.” 😂

    Seriously though, that woman trying to blame her son's autism (and supersonic hearing?!) when she clearly is the one stressed about the noise is so funny. Lady I don't think your son is the only one with a touch of the 'tism

    Obviously you don't live where the bus passes. The noise, vibrations shaking the house, and the frequency of the buses. Not to mention there speeding down 9th Avenue. We are not privileged rich people complaining but we have lived in this house for 35 years and we have worked and sweated to build what we have here. Comments below are very rude and insensitive.

    I mean with modernist since the beginning in the 1800's I don't think you could take that back you would have pay anyway and it would take you back to probably nineteenth hundreds up in the norther states buses are worse and they once in a moon salt lake is better that some northern imagine having wait hours or the city want run buses so people to drive not so recently

      They did that, and the small buses called O5's ; all broke down- could not handle the hills. Just ask a UTA mechanic. Edit, also after UTA got the buses the company went out of business.

    • @hamletfan8
      @hamletfan8 2 месяца назад +4

      Also the route further down is busier and they need the space of a full size bus. It's not efficient to do the first 3 stops on a van and then switch to a bus. Times that by every 8 or 1t minutes. it's not cheaper.

    • @shawnhuff3920

      @@hamletfan8yes but they discussed that having the smaller size van just in this particular area and this area only would be beneficial to the nabor hood so a van in this nabor hood alone not the route after would work 👌

    There is a solution and you're not going to do it, but you could put up an overhead electric system for trollybusses that are near silent. But if you want to complain about public transportation, and cut lines and routes and services because your supposed religious zealot ancestors designed the roads in that area and you feel some sick sense of ownership over it, by all means go ahead. Though you should take in mind that you'll be more upset with the consequences than the noise of some ghost bus passing by when people protest on your street. I sure hope you're willing to buy every public transportation rider a car of their own to get to and from since they wont have a bus line.

    Why high frequency if the bus is empty?
    What are the alternatives?

    • @Fox13now
      @Fox13now  2 месяца назад +3

      High frequency as in it passes by every 15 minutes one way and 8 minutes come back down The Avenues.
