    I’ve always wondered how those stripes were made 😂 I had no clue there was a whole tool used for it

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 года назад +3

      Yea some people get the stripes from the lawn mower flap on the back but they are not as deep but with this tool the stripes are deep and defined and makes the lawn look good. Thank you for tuning in every video 🙏🏾

    You may have been asked this before but why do you bag instead of mulching? Your strips look great!

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 года назад +1

      I mulch once in awhile but not very often

  • @jacklavoie2523

    I planted seed in a new area 5 weeks ago with the same seed you use. It looks great, thanks for all that you do to help us. One problem I have when I mow, my new grass flattens easily. I cut at highest level, mulch instead of bagging. Is that new grass flattening normal? Would bagging instead of mulching help? Thanks

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 года назад +1

      Thats normal new grass will flatten out but the more you mow, it will get stronger and make sure to fertilizer it. Thank you for tuning him and I'm glad I could help

    Lawn looks great. Are you watering? Man....we been in need of some rain. What height of cut are you at?

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 года назад

      Thank you, yea I'm watering when I can not as often as I should be but my lawn is holding up pretty well. Certain parts are definitely suffering from heat stress. I'm cutting at 3.75

    Will the stripes work on St. Augustine grass? Just wondering because SA is much thicker than Bermuda, Zoysia, etc. Nice lawn btw!!

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 года назад +1

      Yea it will stripe St.Augustine but the St. Augustine may not stripe as deep as a cool season turf because cool season turf stripes the best.

    Any suggestions I still have multiple brown spots in my yard appears to be be heat damage although, I'm not 100% sure since I've been treating for fungus as well. Should I go with ironite or something more nitrogen based like Anderson's lawn food?

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 года назад +1

      It could definitely be heat damage. If you look at the grass blades and they are curling up its heat damage. I would go with Andersons lawn food and a few deep waterings

    • @justhumblemeclarke7292
