Hello, my name is Adri, I'm from Mexico 🇲🇽, I'm 35 years old and I've been a super fan of Icehouse since 2015, I met the band that year, but in 2014 I found the song De Great Souther land and from there I fell in love with the band, really Iva Daves is a poet and I like him from before he was young and currently he is an incredibly singer-songwriter, I still dream of him coming to Mexico City 🇲🇽 to sing. Long live Australia!!!
Bass Legend Guy Pratt ladies & gents!
damn, would love to see more Guy Pratt playing. Well, they didn't know the bass god he would become when filming
Icehouse - Australia's Best!
Stunning. Thank you so much for posting this. Iva’s voice in this 83 concert absolutely matches his voice in the Great Southern Land album. And it is superb to see Guy Pratt ( lockdown licks !) and Pink Floyd fame in bass looking youthful ! Love your work @guypratt
Icehouse- Ultravox- Joy Division- Kate Bush- kraftwek- all the best bands I can never get enough of. Iva still rockin to these days. Awesome! Wish they would come to the US
Iva Davies is an absolutely brilliant songwriter .And what a amazing live performance that was from them all.
33 years old and still a brilliant concert.
38 years and counting 😉🍻
This band is amazing ❤❤
Have loved them since they started. Saw them at The Venue in St Kilda in 84. Brilliant, and one of Australia's best bands ever. Iva Davies is a genius!
They're all good muso's, awesome.
One of my favorite bands from the '80s. This concert is excellent.
Guy Pratt ladies and gentlemen! As awesome as you think you are Guy, you’re no Iva Davies.
wow!!!!
Exceptional live performance..love it
Just love those turn of the decade (1980 era) synth sounds. I’m a guitar player and love my cranked Marshall’s but listened to a lot of synth music from this era. But a lot of it would have guitars as well like Icehouse did. They often complimented each other really well.
Thank you VERY much.
They are coming home to Melbourne in December. I have my ticket! Looking forward to the show.
Amazing older concert.thx
Love those early days ;-)
Me too ^.^
Tara Coghill The early days WERE the best by far.
I couldn't agree more, Adam!
Iva's voice was so much better and dynamic back then...
Still sounds good now
Brilliant!
One of the best ever channellers of Bowie. Meant in a good way!
Awesome!! Love it!!

Thanks to Stephan for sharing this video. A very generous, and devoted Icehouse fan, and a great all-round guy. RIP mate ❤
I was 16 back then and heard Icehouse every day while playing on my C64.
I've never seen this concert before... Thank you so much...
THIS is absolutely FABULOUS!! Thanks so much. Saw them live in 2012 here in Aus. I simply can't help myself 🤤
Very cool early version of We Can Get Together. 👍
Great Southern Land ....such perfection. LOL Iva The land always tells the story....
Thank you so much for uploading this!!!!! Been wondering what the whole set was like (only saw GSL, One by One and Street Cafe) :))))
The best video in 1981when the first rock videos came out in1979 along with devoted missing Pearson's ultravox
That is Devo and missed persons and first appearance of U2.sorry I mean missing persons
I saw Icehouse at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, Ca. on Saturday, October 17, 1981. There was an opening band who's name I don't remember, but they were good. They set the tone for what came next. Ready? The one and only Bruce "Babyman" Baum. The comedian. I had never heard of him. He was a riot. And then, Icehouse. I think they were touring the album "Great Southern Land". Fantastic concert.
Primitive Man. It would have been the launch of the album. We were still into their original album in Australia - Icehouse, AND their name was just transitioning from 'Flowers', their band name on the 'Icehouse' album. Some group that didn't go very far, were already using the name 'Flowers', in USA. That forced the change to 'Icehouse' . I was not impressed at the time, as Flowers was really their name first. (Despite being on the other side of the world!!) Later on the 'Icehouse' name was cool, and worked out for the best.
Beste Band. Warum bin ich nicht mit 5 dahin gegangen!
Search for their legendary concert in Dortmund. I used to have it recorded on VHS.
The lead singer has the most beautiful eyes under the lights of the stage. I am a sucker for beautiful 😍 pretty eyes in a man after Mr Davies of course.
We were going to see them tonight at Willowbank Queensland , but Covid Lockdown put a end to that😪
thanks :-D
Me too. Iva Davies is an extraordinary musician.
