I only discovered Icehouse last year when I heard Hey Little Girl on the radio. After that I listened to every song, every intereview, every concert there is on RUclips and was blown away by the fantastic work Iva has ever created! What an amazing guy!
I always find it amazing how the US didn't know this man/band. I fell in love with Icehouse in 1980 and never let go. I bought Primitive Man the day it was released. I listened to Sidewalk and M4M all through the 1980's. I went and saw Icehouse open for The Cars in 1987 not even knowing Man of Colors existed. And I have every album and cover album. Only wish I lived in Australia so I could see him/them again in concert. Keep the music alive, Iva. We'll keep listening
Iva still has no idea why "Great Southern Land" is so iconic in the representation of Australia! It has always, and remains to be my most favourite song of his. "Ghost of time" as it was named at the Y2K celebration was absolutely amazing🥰 I remember sitting on the banks of the Yarra that New Years Eve hearing it for the first time and loved it. Extremely humble man with unbelievable talent
this guy, you should put headphones on & walk down the main street of Sydney or Auckland or Los angeles or New york blasting icehouse, what an experience
Ah... Iva Davies - I fell in love with his voice the moment I heard it. He can be so gentle and so powerful (vocal-wise) if he wants to. Just compare "Paradise" and "Cross the border" from the Measure for Measure album.

I’m in the U.S. as well and don’t understand why they were so unknown here. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! Since the 80s. I was a huge Cars fan as well!
Unsung hero
Iva is a class act and an incredible musician. Love Icehouse
You are still amazing, Iva, your voice silken and strong, your manner affable, humble and still rather romantic. What a talented man.

Crazy…. always has been, and always will be, one of my favorite songs ever. Fond memories of the 80s. And definitely on my iTunes playlist!
I’ve just bought this album in 2022. I really appreciate this background on the album tracks with Iva Davies himself 👍
