  • Going over how to set custom fan curves in Alienware Command Center. However this begs the question, is there a better way to do it rather than having to use AWCC? Lets find out in this video!

Bro, thank you so much! I struggle so much to find a solution for my Noctua Fans on my Alienware. Finally this video pops up

Legendary video - when I'm doing long periods of work on my desktop I set front fan (custom ML 120 pro) to 40% and top fan (Corsair H60i) to 40% and it's whisper quiet and temps in the 40C range on CPU.

Shouting out thanks for the walk through video. Ending up installing this version of OHM after AWCC corrupted. Fan control was all over the place and was getting false readings on temps and fan speeds.

I hope there are more videos on this because while the speed and everything on my new x15 R1 work well; the fact I can't just manually set my fans to a steady 70% for both is enraging. Keep well.

You and I bought R10s at the same time and Basically done the same upgrades. I went with Noctua fans with two intake and two noctua on push pull on the stock radiator. I have Ryzen 7 3700x, RTX3070. Thanks for the help! I might do this but my custom fan curves are working I think in AWCC.

Noctua fans are quite nice! I would have gone with them but I have had another set of those Corsair MagLev fans in another build for almost 8 years now and still going strong so I went that route. That PC is now my Wife's PC since she didn't have one.

@@DGK86 Corsair fans are great I was going to go with those but since Dell designed this case with zero airflow. We need as much Static pressure as possible. Which Noctua is best at. For $5 more I got the best fans for this computer I can buy. I have idle temps is 29-34 c range. When I playing Halo: Infinite on my dual 34" dell monitors I get around 70 FPS, with temps on CPU around 50-62C and GPU around 68-73C so its made a huge difference in heat.
Eventually I will upgrade to R14 but that will be in a few years. I got this computer for a steal.
I might have a few follow up questions for you, but my noctua fans seem to love using AWCC and respond accordingly to my custom curves. I can turn completely off or run them at 100% which still isn't that loud compared to stock fans running 6400 RPMs!!

    Thanks for your share!
So, I had an issue with my fans, I am running stock fans, and with the case open as the heating issue in my R11 i9 aircooled is ridiculous. With the case open the fans for the CPU and the front + exhaust really never got spun up too much. I went into AWCC and played with them but to no avail, I could not see that any changes I was making were actually going into place.. like when I said increase to set percentage @ 50%, they would run at 30..
The issue was a problem between the user&keyboard.
I made the changes to the fan profiles.. then went to the main page on AWCC to apply them. I noticed I was working on a profile called Performance-1 and what was running was performance.
I've made the changes and am playing with the curves to find the best option.. I ordered a water cooler for my CPU but im waiting on the VRM for it before I install.

I tried a lot with AWCC and couldn't get it to work the way I wanted with my fans. Plus I like the simplicity of the other program.

4:50 i downloaded it aswell but my fans are not listed. It just says fan#1 fan#2 fan#3 and the same goes for the fan control part right below that. At the fan control part it doesnt even give me any numbers. Any idea how to fix that? :EDIT: what i did was putting each fan on 0% and then one by one get them to max rpm and check which fan goes actually on. That way you know which curve controls which fan. After that you can rename them like “top fan” or “side fan”. The system DOES work tho. Also great tip. Download msi afterburner so you can control your GPU aswel. Its better to give it its full voltage for max performance

I bumped into this video as I've just gotten an R10 Ryzen 9 with 3070 32GB and the noise of the fans when they kiks in is insane, on the verge to return the PC for a better product. Out of curiosity is there any way to reduce the stock fans RPM below 5300 ? I tried by using flat curves but they still spins at hidle and it annoyes me especially when Im not playing games I don't want to hear the dishwasher like noise in the background

I just updated my BIOS to 2.1.2 I believe so that way I can get resizable bar with my 5900X and my Rx6800XT and ever since I don't see a CPU frequency in Alienware Command Center. Also the other day I was using ryzen master and I overclock it to 4.4mhz on all cores And overclocked my 3200 MHz ram to 3400 MHz And it started boot looping. I'm not sure if you call it bootlooping but it would start Windows and then it would just like flipper and you couldn't do anything. Eventually it did the preboot self diagnostic And it gave me some stupid memory error. So I did windows restore and reinstalled windows. it's fine long as I don't try to overclock the ram. Can I just delete awcc? I'd way rather just use the new adrenaline software software... it gets me really close to where I want to be. looking at that software if you showed in this video it seems pretty awesome.

How will you change the color of your R10 without the alienware command center? Also i changed my cpu cooler to a corsair H60i and installed multiple corsair ml120 fans which made my AWCC completely break to a point it was constantly loading. I had to reset my R10 to fix it but now it wont show me the temps of my cpu. It stays at 0%. I have no clue how you would be able to make your R10 overclock with that other software due that AWCC has buttons to make it overclock. Any idea how be able to do that with that other program?

I wonder what the offset setting does. Almost like it adds a percentage to you fan speed to correct for after market fans 🤔

    • @maisamkhan7077
      @maisamkhan7077 2 года назад

off set keeps the fans at a constant % and that is also inaccurate in my experience, when doing a 60% offset, it only sets as a 53% offset for example. and this scales up. Not to mention having an offset as ur "fan curve" shouldn't be necessary

Other than adjusting the LED on the front Command Center pretty useless. I’m going to give this a try when I get home. I only have a top fan and front fans listed on mine. I do have the AIO though.

Is there a version for Dell Alienware Aurora R15 too?
It's weird - got a Dell Alienware at work - Dell support coming here are not able to control or tame the fans. During rendering or hard work the computer is silent - during saving and working with files like installing, the computer become a jet-plane on steroids with fans whining at high speed, making it impossible for the rest of the office to hear conversations. This was the same problem with the previous Dell also.. The computers I built myself at home with similar specs are dead silent.. Dell has blocked third party fan curve control and has made a software that simply does not work. My suggestion at this point would be to avoid high end Dell computers if you can.

I also use OpenHardwareMonitor Alienware Edition on my R10 and definitely way better than AWCC, ended up uninstalling AWCC as it was causing me more problems such as my fans were going down to 400 RPM in the middle of a damn game. Great video for those who have R10 fan issues with AWCC and aftermarket fans like the ML120 Pros!
