Sarabi’s COMPLETE Backstory In Disney Lion King
Sarabi’s loyalty to Mufasa and her family separated her from all the other lions in the Pridelands and made her such an unbreakable queen. She was depicted as one of the strongest and fiercest Disney characters ever to grace the big screen, and sadly, she gets way less credit than she deserves. Sarabi was not only Queen of the Pridelands during its darkest period, but throughout her entire life, she suffered countless hardships. It was only thanks to the strength that she developed during these hard times that she could survive even after she lost everything. And now, it’s high time that somebody told her whole story.

Sarabi was such a underrated character imo
great video about Sarabi's full story, interesting.. As a child, it always saddened me to see her hurt when she learned about the deaths of Mufasa and Simba, and now being older, I feel that much more, because she had lost her husband and also "thought that she had lost her son very young".. And also now I can imagine the strength that she had to have to get up from that and resist Scar's tyranny in the Kingdom, protecting and leading the pack; I imagine what it would have been like for her to miss them day by day and with that pain.. But I'm always happy when she sees her son alive and take his place, finally she could feel peace in her life after a long time, and I think that already in the second movie, she already died in peace, after that consolation of knowing that her son returned home and the prairies resurfaced, right?
and I had no idea that she and Mufasa also started out as childhood friends just like Simba and Nala..
They say that Sarabi's voice actress, Madge Sinclair, passed away before the second movie was made. I always liked to think that in the scene in the second movie, when Princess Kiara is all grown up and about to embark on her very first hunt, the lioness who says "My, how you've grown" IS Queen Sarabi making a small cameo to support her granddaughter. She looks like Sarabi to me, anyways, and I am QUITE sure Simba would not have banished his own mother when he did Zira and her lionesses.
You know, that would've been VERY interesting if she appeared in the sequel if her voice actress hadn't died. How would you guys think of how she would react to her son for treating her granddaughter as being king?

Kiara kinda look like Sarabi a little bit. It would have been so fun to see Kiara and Sarabi meet each other. Sadly she wasn't in the 2nd movie. Sarabi is strong minded and so is Kiara

They replaced Nala’s voice actress though. Probably so she wouldn’t sound too much like Kiara.
I really liked the scenes where the lions mourned.
But to me, Nuka's death was even more sad, he was crushed under the logs, Zira reached to help him, but she couldn't save him as it was too late.
I'm still impressed by that scene even nowadays.
I always loved Sarabi. I was disappointed when she didn't appear in Lion King 2.
Her voice actress passed away, so Disney didn't get the character appearing due to respect.
When I was little, I had fréquent arguments with my twin sister and it got to the point where I wanted someone to love and take care of so I would say to myself - "God I wish I had a brother" I didn't imagine what he was like, I just believed it for 12 years and in 2000, I got what I wished for. My mother married a Frenchman who had 2 sons and it was Paul the eldest who became my brother, I was able to be a sister to him and we shared a few beautiful moments together because we had cars and motor racing in common. Those days are over now but I got what I wanted and am forever grateful for the gift I was granted ❤
I like to believe she prayed to see her grandchild before she joined the stars in the heavens and Mufasa answered her prayer. ❤️

As they say a wise king needs a wise queen and both mufasa and sarabi are wise they are perfect for each other like simba and nala
The cub in the last scene of Thr Lion King was actually another cub thry had before Kiara, who I think maybe didn't make it 😞 I just assumed by the time Kiara was born that Sarabi had died by then.

Sarabi's presumable non-speaking cameo in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. In the sequel, she was originally going to appear, but her voice actress (Madge Sinclair) passed away. Despite her absence, she is known to be the paternal grandmother to Simba and Nala's daughter Kiara.
Sarabi is from the dunia pride but the hyenas invaded it so sarabi had to run away with her best friend sarafina and then long story later they met mufasa and joined the pride lands and then boom simba is here and that is a short story on sarabi
if lion king was made in 2020-2023 she would probs say " as a queen i dont accept you as a king " and get expelled, being brought back by simba/dying to make it more dramatic and then he would fight scar, also " madness of scar " would never even be a thing because back then parents werent so offended by stuff like that (we were innocent little kids who didnt know what being suggestive means) and i think if that part made it into the first movie, no one would bat an eye.. its the era we live in, kids are exposed to stuff at an early age unlike us 90's + early 2000's kids, sheesh i got my first laptop at 11 years old (im 24 now) with limited play time...
The reason The Madness of Scar portion was cut was because it WAS too disturbing and creepy for even the producers and creators. Thry cut it themselves before any audience could even boycott it.
Since simba took over as king and queen! She was the queen mom! Not shown but in spirit! Did simba have an older brother who died!❤
My theory of why Sarabi wasn't in LK2 is because she died of old age.

Just how old is Zazoo? I mean he looked after Mufasa Simba and eventually kiara thats 3 generations of lions!
I had to look this up but its actually possible! Mufasa didnt live to his full lifespan so say 6
- 7 years, simba might have been 8 by the time kiara matured (male lions really don't last as long) so thats 14 - 15 years ish, and thats the pretty much zazus lifespan (14 - 16 years in the wild) ..i'll leave now

Which is very plausible as Lions are already elderly around ten while some Hornbills can life to be over 40
