WOW. I love quick, Dense, actionable information.
This is actually my favourite channel
Thank you!
1. Focus on your WIG, Wildly Important Goal. "If everything else stayed the same, what one achievement would make everything else seem secondary?"
Then take that achievement and frame it as 'from state x to state y by time z'.
(From unmixed songs to album release by labor day)
2. Measure Lead behaviors.
(Behaviors that you can influence and improve daily and weekly)
Amount of effort
3. Put up a scoreboard:
People play differently when they know the score and the amount of time left in the game.
4. Schedule weekly accountability talks:
What you planned,
What you did,
What you plan to do to hit the next milestone
If there was a way I could like this multiple times, I would. Powerful teaching. Just what I needed.
i love watching these kind of videos and feel like im progressing in life while im actually staring at the computer

Great summary of one of my favorite books. This is the goal setting method I use on a regular basis.
I would like to write a really honest comment!!! I rarely even write comments, but this channel is just unbelievably amazing.
For real dude you videos are on point easy to understand and deliver exactly what the should to give the best consumerexperience. And on top of that you even give people who really want to have the benefits of this video on black and white the opportunity to download afree pdf.
Mad respect brother! Absolutely subbed!!!
Thank you so much for sharing such a piece of viable information. As a Co-founder of my startup, I am currently passing through whirlwind for 3 months and didn't achieve much. This video helped me a lot to plan things to execute in a better way.
Best self development channel out there hands down.
The value in each of your videos is absolutely HUGE!! And that 1-page PDF summary makes it 10x more useful and applicable! Thank you so much man, you're changing my life!
AMAZING!!! You nail the detail : time ratio. Packed with actionable information in under 9 minutes. Bravo 👏 I also love how every discipline fit on one slide that I could screenshot and easily review later. Keep up the great work 👍
These books summaries are excellent. Best in RUclips by far. Thanks so much.
One of the best channel I have come across in recent months.
I have read this book twice and it's been a while. Watching this freshen up my learnings from the book. Thank you.
Excellent video :) Concise points followed by at least 2 examples, very helpful.
Accounting for lag time & tracking actions steps above results was a revelation for me. That's where I've been getting tripped up, not accounting for enough lag time & consistent actions before seeing results was discouraging. Thanks.
Your channel literally changed my life. Thank you.❤
Four discipline of execution
1. Focus on most important
2. Measure the result
3. Put up a scoreboard
4. Schedule activity
2 is wrong. It's measure lead behaviour, not lag results.
4 is *dead* wrong... It's weekly accountability talks
also 1 is not sufficient. it's focus on the *ONE* most imporant thing
2 should be measuring what you can influence & improve not the results
Please delete this
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. My mentors at work suggested it and now I can add it to my toolshed!
1. Focus on your W.I.G
For example in the airport, all planes are important
most important is the take off planes
Format using from x to y using z
2.Measure Lead behaviors
Weight loss
Blog -- > first number of articles --> then how many followers --> Revenue
Sales -> # follow up emails -> sales amount
3. Put up a scoreboard
Go to park and play --> People get scoreboard ->
Display both lead and Lag measurement
How lead and Lag measurements
4. Weekly accountability meetings
Regular face face to meetings
Verbally communicate
Thank you this summary is wonderful ❤❤❤❤
I needed this summary very badly. Thanks alot, God Bless You.
The summary of the book is good. The book however I find it a simplification of a well designed Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process of Supply Chain Management. This means that since plans are usually ongoing and that there is a time to complete the execution of the plan or Lead Time (time between departing from the origin airport to the destination airport in the example), the weekly meeting is usually divided in four parts: 1) the Historical week (last week) where we see the results measured in Key Performance Indices (KPIs) by area vs the plan; 2) The Limit Week where the implementable part of the plant is adopted (in the airport controller example would be to allow the airplanes to depart from the origin airport to be received) to be able to executed by the Critical Week (arrival week); 3) A review of the Lead Time (in the example would be the airplanes in the air) if everything is going according to plan since only partial measures can be taken: reroutes because bad weather or other; 4) A general review of what to do beyond the Critical Week (Planning Horizon). The Planning Horizon is going to be reviewed every week since the entire timeline slides one week towards the present and one week is added to the end.Furthermore, which the book is light about, what or how to determine a goal or idea to be good or important and more relevant is it achievable. Corporate may want a $1B annual sales but if you know it can't be done shouldn't you also present your weekly meetings update to senior management? If the decision is only Top-Down it will most likely become an exercise in futility hence the precise point missed in the book.
I'm addicted to your channel, you are doing fabulous job🙏
I absolutely love your content. I'm devouring it right now!! Thanks for making this channel and doing great work. Props to you!

First of all GREAT 👍 CONTENT! I could hear you clearly and understand your words. I have million dollar ideas 💡 but I have no execution. This video has helped me and I'm going to definitely email 📨 you for the summary! I'm ready to execute my goals. ❤

Excellent video, I really need this. Thank you
"A good idea without execution is worthless"
1. Focus on your W.I.G (Wildly Important Goal) - "If everything remains as is, what ONE achievement would make everything else seem secondary?" That's what to focus on / THE sole priority- 1:35
2. Measure Lead Behaviors: Between actions-taken and actual results there is a lag time. So it's more accurate/indicative to measure Critical Day-to-Day activities (what are you doing every day to get you closer to your WIG) - 3:07
3. Put Up a Scoreboard: We need frequent reminders of 'the score/results' to keep us engaged. Having a simple chart showing WIG, LAG, and LEADS metrics to motivate us to execute action plans - 5:00
4. Schedule Weekly Accountability Talks: Make verbal commitments with team members: a. "This is what I said I would do", b. "This is what I did", c. "This is what I'll do this week" - 6:42
Thank you. Starting a new practice so this is very apropos. Building clients.

Very useful both for working with a team and for private life (speaking from experience of a busy ployglot working on learning several foreign languages at the same time). Thank You for this review. And this is how You got Yourself a new subscriber. Keep up great work!

4 Disciplines to Systemic Execution
1. Focus on your ONE Wildly Important Goal (WIG) of achievement.
2. Measure Lead Behaviors of critical day-to-day activities.
3. Put up a Scoreboard. Will to win fuels Execution. See winning or losing in 5 seconds.
4. Schedule weekly accountability talks. What I said I'd do, What I did, What you plan to do.
I first heard of the 4DX method when reading Cal Newport's book Deep Work but couldn't really understand it. Now it makes much more sense. Thank you.
I like this review. The tips are useful and easy to complete.
Very nicely made summary.....so easy to understand.......Thanks!!

good content... crisp, precise , direct and intense.its A class content...well done!!!
You are doing good job. It is helping lot of people . Thank you !!
Great idea, this is a nice alternative to audible with more actionable information
Worked for a company that sent out a dashboard report that was three pages long every morning on sales, discounts, labor and costs. I always thought this was a distraction rather than a value added report. It focused many managers on what happened last week and yesterday and how to explain the small changes.
Awesome. Thank you very much for sharing; very helpful.
Very useful one... Things been explained very nicely and deeply..
Awesome summary. I'm planning to show and discuss this with my team. Gotta find my W.I.G. items.

Great video 🙏🏽🙏🏽
This issue occurs when your not allowed to define that WIG because those who manage you constantly change it and often change it to something you know is superfluous compared to other tasks.
THANK YOU
Great insights!
Thank you for the great content!
GOOD INFORMATION I CAN USE...
Great explanation thank you )
4 : Another self-improvement video says that those who wrote down their goals, told others about them, and sent those people weekly status reports reached their goals better than those who didn’t! (:
I'm kinda absolutely positively sure I disagree with measuring lead behaviors (4:07). This leads on a dangerous path of doing work that "deserves" the result, instead of work that "causes" the result. I know that sometimes the real results may take a long time to show, but counting the attempt as a result in and of itself, to me, isn't a good practice. Anyway, I love your videos! I was just commenting on the book
Hi,
Good video. Thank you for sharing. Quick question. Your audio is very crisp. What devise you use for the audio and what software you use for the visuals?
Thank you.
Random Fog Nathan puts all that info in the description and it has a whole section about the gadgets and software he uses.
