You can get LOADS of parts here in Australia. DON'T buy from Ebay sellers based in Australia ...they tend to overprice. Try and contact wreckers directly in Australia. They are very cheap. It also helps if you know a local...they may be able to do some running around for you. Yes...you must use the OEM airbag because they contain the right programming to talk to the body computer. You can also update your touchscreen with navigation, etc... There are numerous retailers in Australia which will sell you a take-out/put-in unit with the right plugs. You can even get the Holden Mylink screens out of wrecked cars. Then it is just a case of going to a local GM dealer to get them to flash the right firmware into the onboard chip. My advice to you...to make the car even more of a mystery sleeper, is to swap out the Chev badges and go back to the original Holden badges. You can get them really cheap on Wish.
I subscribed, I appreciate how you've dedicated this channel to your Caprice development. As an interested future owner, it's great to see you taking the time to do a quality build and explain every little thing you've done and considered. thanks for doing such a great job
In the Middle East the Caprice is badged on both Holden and Chevy, in China it is badged as the Buick Park Avenue and in South Korea it's badged as the Daewoo Veritas
@@trentinedwards5569 thanks for the quick reply. That makes my decision easier. 😂 you’re interior is nicer than most I’ve seen. Did you wrap the caprice seat back in the G8 leather? And how do you like the radio after some time and use?
The brake works, you need a new cable though. The heated seats will work but I don’t have the space or buttons for them. I found a universal pair but it’s not on my list of things at this point.
BLAZEunderscore84 u have to run the two wires from the G8 shifter to the BCM. I have a link to the build on New Caprice forum. But the gear won’t show up on the dash, u have kept track when shifting. It will auto down shift at complete stop tho.

Thanks, I will look into that!

I have 2013 ppv exalant condition for sale
Great job! And I always thought they were similar to Impalas.
Oh, no. GM is disrespecting the impala
@@trentinedwards5569 The body is there they just don't want to spend the time to make a rear wheel drive car anymore.
Nice brotha.. going to pick up my 2012 caprice tomorrow
Dean Kellman congrats, I know the feeling!

I have a 2013 Buick park avenue with a very kick ass interior but its a 3.6 engine.
I find it funny how the car that catches your criminals is the same car we use to escort our prime ministers
Floor shift.. if it is a column there is still a hole in the floor, you will just need a cable I believe.
Yup, same body. U can look underneath as well.
Dude! Awesome
Looks Great!
Do these have car seat anchors in the backseats?
Love your videos! Close to pulling the trigger on a 2012 caprice PPV. Do you know if the back seat has car seat anchors?
They do, I ride with my lil guy all the time.

The front and rear seats are both from a G8
@@trentinedwards5569 thanks man.
Thanks so much. I am nearing a purchase of a 2013.
I just subscribed, you are the truth💯
How difficult and how long was the console swap? just wondering if I should attempt to do it myself or not.
Not to difficult if u have all the parts. Took me about two days, in the cold Wisconsin winter.
Trentin Edwards hey I got a ?
Nice!
Alright, where did you steal it from?
Does the emergency break in the console work and do the heated seat buttons work?
The brake works, you need a new cable though. The heated seats will work but I don’t have the space or buttons for them. I found a universal pair but it’s not on my list of things at this point.
Where did you find the materials for the center console
I have the G8 console in my caprice now. But how do I wire it so I can manually shift my transmission?

What site did yu go too to order parts
Was that originally a column shift or console shift car?
Can you put paddle shifters on the ppv?
I am sure there is a way to do it but I am not for certain.
@@trentinedwards5569 okay thanks 💯
Would 20inch wheels change the ride of car??
Not sure, you’ll have to do some research. I’m riding stock.
Have you had to change the alternator yet?
No, not yet but the battery.
I want one with the floor shift
Where did you order the parts?
I used a Junk yard site and I had to travel for some. I have a link to my build that has a list of every part and price.
Street Hemi for part go ROCKAUTO.COM
Where can I get a console I been looking everywhere
I found one in a junk yard, there is a link in my build to the site I used.
🇸🇦✌🏼
Yikes clean your camera lenses man!!! Looks like your filming thru a nylon filter...
It may be your glasses, this is a video you do not have to watch if you do want too.
