  • Across America, many of the nearly 50 million people infected with the coronavirus continue to suffer from some persistent symptoms. For these three long haulers, debilitating symptoms and fatigue has kept them from returning to work - and in return, struggling to navigate their new normal. I had the swine flu and the same things happened to me. It's not just the doctors. Your family members, coworkers, people in your church all say that you're crazy. Their cruelty was as bad as the sickness itself. 😡

Yes, same here, from 1970s onward, after forced into the swine flu vax via my school at the time. I was 15. I have been chronically ill ever since, but it took a while to progress -- very insidious -- with one bizarre "syndrome" developing in me after another. But way back then, no one ever put two and two together, and so I was lucky enough to to eventually land a wonderful position and then spend my career years working from my home office for an international nonprofit that was dedicated to getting to the bottom of all of these "syndromes" that have sprung up since the late 1970s. I so hope and pray that the same happens for those in this video and all who are now afflicted.
Now that I am older, I am much sicker. When I was in my teens, 20s, 30s, and so on, not a soul believed that I was ill, not at all, for I was a dedicated athlete, in amazing shape and condition, and I have always been one of the "high IQ" types, so all of this together labeled me as merely a hypochondriac more than anything else. This callous labeling is nothing short of completely sadistic, inhumane.
Chronic fatigue syndrome, more correctly and compassionately called myalgic encephalomyelitis is pretty much the EXACT SAME THING that these sufferers are now describing, and it affects virtually ALL bodily systems. At least this time around those suffering are getting the media coverage that this issue has deserved for decades. Thank you to all involved for telling your stories far and wide, and for helping to get to the bottom of this devastating, highly debilitating, VERY REAL "syndrome." Btw, they almost always call something a "syndrome" when they do not want to "go there," I have found, and I worked for years along side the CDC and NIH to try to do all that is possible to help the many and growing population who have to struggle through life with this nightmare.

@@lukematthew613 Yes, exactly the same conclusion that I reached after living with chronic illness for so long and after working for so many years in the medical field with these entities. Btw, I have never, ever received another "witches brew" from that day onward, when I was 15 in the 1970s, which I wrote about above, and it STILL completely wiped out my central nervous system and so much more. And I have had to spend well over half a million on naturopathic remedies. So it is not easy to fix once your body is broken from them, for sure. But I was already being made super ill from them when I was a mere toddler. I had several aunts who were RNs and they insisted that I get them. Looking back, each time that I did, here comes the fever of 104F, vomiting, severe pain, etc, that would then subside after a couple of days. No one thought to connect ANY of this when I was five and six years old, sadly. I am just someone who CANNOT have them, and so now I get to awaken each morning with the extreme threat of authorities knocking down my door and holding me down to essentially "rape" me --- that is how I see it.

@@TorturedSoulster Good to see someone else knows the truth about the matter. I've not gotten any shots in over 10:years. Changed my diet to organic as humanly possible and drink water from my own spring. I can tell you I can relate to what you're talking about. I haven't had "the flu" or a "cold" or anything else similar since the transition over 10 years ago.

@@lukematthew613 Congrats on your "cleaning" process that really seems to be working! I use and have used similar strategies over the years, and what one drinks is so very important, I agree. I have only had clean water (long story, but good water) for the past 10 years. I drink nothing else at all. Food is now so very hard because of the GMOs, glyphosate, nanoparticulate, etc, etc, that are now in pretty much everything, including what is labeled as organic, unfortunately, as I am sure that you know.
And yes, kindred spirits these days on this specific topic are not so easy to find, and that is putting it mildly. So glad that we met!

❤I was in an abusive marriage for 24 years and raised four children. The same year that I got my divorce August 2019, November 2019 I closed on my very own house. I was on top of the world I work so hard to get where I was and then January 2022 was when it all started. I was diagnosed on the sixth and on the third week I started to feel the symptoms. It’s been a whole year and I’m barely figuring out that what I suffered throughout this entire year is because of Covid. I’m on the verge of Losing everything all because I can’t work and support myself. I just thought I’d tell you because you seem like somebody who was sensitive enough to realize we are definitely hurting. Thank you for being sensitive. It feels good to know there are people out there who really do care. Because sometimes I feel like there’s no one out there who understands or cares anymore.❤

22+ months in with no solution in sight. It’s breaking me because I have no outside support. I’ve been working since my initial infection in July of 2020 because I have to in order to survive, but I think this is seriously beginning to hinder my progress towards long term recovery (if that is even possible at this point). Love and respect to anyone who suffered through covid or lost a loved one to the disease. But I want to send out a special bit of love and solidarity to anyone who is struggling with long covid. We beat the odds, we survived, but at what cost? In my opinion society owes us a bit of gratitude and a heavy debt as we are the ones who were left on the sacrificial alter in order to obtain the knowledge to develop a vaccine. Prevention is absolutely vital, but let’s not forget about the people whom paid the tole for said prevention to occur in the first place. We are survivors, we will make it or we will die trying. ✊😎👍

I was diagnosed with COVID January 6 2022 and upon my third week after I thought I was getting better I started to get spasms in my leg and a burning sensation all over my body as if I had a fever. It hurt to touch my skin anywhere in my body. Next thing I know I lost control and coordination in my legs. One day I stepped out on my porch without shoes to feed my cat and noticed that my right foot felt a little heated but my left foot felt the cold of the snow. That’s when I noticed my right leg started going numb. It is now December and I still haven’t recovered both legs are super numb and become more aggressively numb when I lay down no matter which position. My hands tingle also. Doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me not even my first chiropractor. It was the second chiropractor who told me it could be that Covid attacked my cerebellum and all this could be neurological from Covid. I’m crying as I type this out because it took almost a year to figure out that this was in fact Covid related but doctors are still not informed enough. My current PCP told me that she couldn’t diagnose the fact that it was cove it related because she has not heard anything regarding the correlation between Covid and coordination issues. It angers me because she spoke knowing she didn’t know for sure. It only took me a simple search to find so much information on this and she supposed to be a PCP!?!
    I NEED HELP 😢

I'm not sure how this might relate, but benadryl (antihistamine) helped my long covid symptoms (was shortness of breath). I was bed ridden till I popped 2 pills of benadryl and literally 30 mins later I sprinted around the block. The symptoms recur but less severe and less frequently. My fathers coworkers wife had brain fog which is also a neurological symptom and it helped her get back to normal routine. As long as u don't have problems taking benadryl, I suggest u give it a try. I say benadryl cause it kicks in the fastest which is needed when I'm struggling to breathe. Also beware it makes u drowsy

It felt like I was changing timelines. I stopped hiking because I was scared of it happening again and passing out with my children. The symptoms are freaking weird… photophobia, lightheadedness, nausea, ringing in ears sometimes, brain tremor, heart palpitations and the sudden urge to run away… but to doctors it’s just “anxiety”. Disability is remarkably hard to get in the US. An extended family member suffered a head injury 5 years ago. For 4-5 months he could not remember anything between the time of his injury and the last time he slept. He has balance problems and memory problems that prevent him from performing nearly any job; he has random impulses that don't feel like impulses. He still does not qualify for disability. The only thing he and his wife can do is keep applying.

Ive been dealing with fatigue, weakness, headaches, muscle spasms since Jan. 27, 2022. No-one knew what was going on with me. A neurologist suspected viral meningitis. I returned to work part time in May 2022 and my PCP gradually increases my hours based on symptom improvement. Still not full time yet. This month, my PCP referred me to a COVID clinic for a second opinion as my symptoms were very similar to long haulers.
I completed my eval on Monday. She was the first doctor to consider the Covid antibody testing (my rapid test in Feb 2022 was negative). The antibody test came back positive. So, it’s likely COVID was the virus that made me so sick. But no doctor cared to do a deeper dive back then as my symptoms appeared more neurological than respiratory/cardiovascular at onset.
I have never been this sick. It’s like a weight is tied to my arms and legs. Getting back to my normal routine has been quite challenging. Yesterday, I tried cleaning my tub by myself (as i neglected to do so for months due to lack of strength), I took a shower and washed my hair, then cooked for me and my sister. Now, im in significant pain. My arms and calfs are extremely sore and i feel so week. I will likely need to remain in bed all day today in order to have just enough strength to work tomorrow. Good days, I can get around and do my job without much difficulty then be exhausted at the end of the day, making it more difficult to get out of bed in the mornings as the week progresses. But on bad says, Im pretty much bed ridden. And if i try to do more than what my body can allow, my extremities start to stiffen up as if they are about to give out.
I try to keep positive and remain hopeful. To all of those who are suffering from this illness, dont let anyone try to diminish your pain and symptoms. THEY ARE REAL! Self Care will get us through this!

I had exactly the same, tinnitus would begin then I would begin to feel a bit nauseous a bit sick, body aches, discomfort in the chest and occasionally get vertigo which could be quite severe or mild. Latest research figures coming through suggest that up to 35% of people experience tinnitus and vertigo with long covid I've had mine for about 5 months now and luckily it is beginning to decline but it's still there but I think eventually it's goes away. 13 months in on my long Covid journey... I have daily headaches, fever like symptoms, internal vibrations. Every day is a struggle to remember things I need to, I write a daily journal to help remind myself of the few good days I have here and there. Life has become a struggle to keep up at work, days I don't work I struggle to get out of bed. It is sheer will that keeps me going, and I really don't know how long I will be able to keep it up. I'm nervous, anxious and quite depressed as well... I keep praying and hoping it will resolve itself, but its been over a year now and it's hard to hold out much hope. I take NS-aids daily, many different supplements as well and nothing really seems to do much to resolve the issues I'm facing health wise.

There is a Gofundme previously set up for atleast one of the people featured on here. His name is Michael Heidenberg. For any one that wants to make a donation to help him or the two young ladies. They may also have a Gofundme that’s been set up. I urge anyone to please help in anyway you can. I’m so very sorry for the long haulers and can only imagine how horrific this is for them.

yes i agree i have waited 30 years for help with fms and cfs. we were disregarded with having same symptoms but they were "all in our head." was so insulting. and never changed thru all the years. we recieved same tests and given multiple drugs that only left us with more drugs to offset the side effects from the first drugs. then later told we are taking to many drugs! Drugs we did not want to begin with but took hoping to get well. What bothers me now is doctors are acting like they have never seen these symptoms before, its ridiculous! They act like they are listening to the covid group but I feel they are just running more of same tests to keep the dollars rolling in. We seen this with 20 million of us cfs/fms its not new. They did same to gulf war syndrome patients, all of us left by the side of the road. can I get a amen?!😞

I got Covid at the end of January 2022. It just felt like a bad cold. Two weeks went by. I thought I was through it. Then the constant, dry coughing started. Dr. prescribed an inhaler with a steroid in it. It helped for a couple of days, then it didn’t at all. I couldn’t sleep. I take Alka Seltzer Cold Plus before I go to bed each night for the last couple of weeks. It has helped reduce the coughing tremendously and I’m sleeping. I still have bouts of fatigue, but not nearly as bad because I’m getting rest which is helping.

One minute you feel like you're okay, then next you are down for the count. Doctors are so blowing these symptoms off and some are not-you can't get them on the same page. The one big thing that has changed for me since the pandemic started is my nasal passages are so dry and nothing gets them feeling back to normal (note-i am going through menopause but those who have do not have the same symptom as me with the nose). 1. My prayer life
    2. Losing weight
    3. Decluttering
    4. Fighting through it
    5. Positive mindset (proclaiming good health and wellness over my mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional states and distancing myself from any negativity)
    6. Exercise
    7. Eating lighter and healthier
    8. Self-care (walks in the park, getting my nails done, watching sunrises and sunsets)
    9. Communication (maintaining regular communication with family and friends)
    10. Being grateful (tired all the time, but thankful for my family, not feeling my best, but my family is healthy, job loss but I still have a roof over my head for example)
    11. Helping others/ giving back
12.Drinking lots of pure water (no Crystal Light, protein, flavors, or any other additives)
