On my opinion Skyquake was washed away too early in the cartoon Transformers prime.In the cartoon he was made dumb and Bumblebee killed him with his bare hands,although Skyquake had the strongest armor.

My guess was that most of Cybertronians are actually more vulnerable in their vehicle form compared to robot mode.
Example: Starscream can handle many shots in robot form but gets taken down whenever he gets hit while using vehicle form.
But then again, this show has always been a little bit inconsistent regarding the weapons and armor in general.
But I do agree that they shouldn't have killed him off that quick.

He is my favourite transformers in this franchise, and compared to dreadwing, he is definitely the brute and dreadwing is the strategic one
it’s an interesting detail at 4:23 that when skyquake crashes, he almost looks half transformed. Almost like he either tried to detransform at the last moment or the force of the impact forced his body to partially detransform
Terrifying how even as a Terrorcon, Skyquake still had enough intelligence to _try_ and repair himself with Starscream's arm.

I like how jet transformers are usually thin and kinda fragile, But he is like a heavy war brute with jet engine
Although it looks like Skyquake is stronger then Dreadwing, I kinda have my own headcannon that Skyquake and Dreadwing are of similar if not equal strength and resilience.
Skyquake's fighting style is more of a brawler. Up close and Personal as he demonstrates. When he fights Optimus he is like a powerhouse. Strong strikes but not as good of a technique.
Dreadwing is more of a long distance ranged weapon fighter. He is more strategic and knows how to use his environment to his advantage. When he goes up close with Optimus he utilizes more swordplay and a bit more finesse than Skyquake.
It's been a long time since I've seen the full series so I'm not sure if this is accurate but this is kinda what I gathered from both Skyquake and Dreadwing's scenes. If there's anything I missed or got wrong please let me know.
Also Yeah they did Kill Skyquake too early I would have liked to see him and Dreadwing work together and see how their different fighting styles would compliment each other.

Skyquakes punches could have been a little better
At least with Dreadwing, the character model itself didn't go to waste, like with Shockewave. (Although Shockwave lived, while Dreadwing...)
Skyquake does look bigger to me, plus his stats on the back of the toy box shows that his strength and endurance are higher than Dreadwing's. I also agree that Skyquake is more of a brawler as opposed to Dreadwing's munition's tactics. I also feel like in jet mode, Dreadwing is more of an "air to air" air superiority combat fighter jet, and Dreadwing is more of a "bomber" jet.
Skyquake is bigger than dreadwing,dreadwing is 9.5 meters tall while skyquake is 10 meters tall,also as show skyquake is stronger and more durable,but dreadwing is smarter and more skilled
Skyquake was originally gonna be Skywarp, whose original G1 design draft was olive green. They renamed him Skyquake to not upset fans since it's such a different interpretation. Later we meet his twin Dreadwing, who's a Seeker captain and blue. They should've just called them Skywarp and Thundercracker. What's odd is that they look like Bayverse Starscream while Prime Starscream looks like Animated Starscream lol. I guess the idea is that the twins are actual Seeker elite while Starscream only thinks of himself that way.
There's been a fan who painted them I. G1 skyward and thunder cracker theme and it's awesome they even have simular agendas

Skyquake is loyal and clearly rushes I. And didn't think for him self kinda like skyward who is so loyal to Megatron that he becomes a fool
I wish they kept that idea since starscream is always their twin, it would show that he once was much more powerful but something happened and he had to downgrade his body. as starscream was seeker elite, even in the comics.

@@LorenzoDoesntExist oh no lorenzo on yt thinks i’m corny! i’ve watched the show several times most recently just a couple weeks ago in fact. transformers prime is a part of the aligned continuity, in which starscream always has been the commander of the seeker armada and it has nothing to do with dreadwing or his death. the vehicon armada starscream commands in tfp aren’t seekers and seekers aren’t even shown in transformers prime except for starscream and dreadwing. shows what u know lol. maybe you should watch the show 😂😂😂
Im pretty sure the reason skyquake got killed so easily is because his armor is not really strong in jet mode.

Just came back because of the listing of new Legacy Wave including specifically named Prime Skyquake. I'm excited and glad to see he's getting some love. Who knows maybe a retool of Dreadwing unless if they want to go full legacy with him. But I'm happy and I hope some of you are too.

Why do you think the creators Transformers prime washed away such a cool character so quickly?
I think for the illusion of Bumblebee's enormous might and to show us how autobots feel about death of the enemy. But the creators definitely should not kill such an awesome character so quickly.

In my opinion, the Desing of Skyquake, looks like a Transformers Prime versión of Bayverse Starscream
But with a less dorrito look
I do prefer Skyquakes paint scheme, voice and weapon over Dreadwings!

He tried to get revenge on Starscream for turning Skyquake into a terracon but was unfortunately killed by Megatron

I find it strange that Skyquake is invulnerable to Optimus Prime's and Bumblebee's gunfire yet Bumblebee ended up defeating him.
Also I noticed Skyquake's bullets easily pierced Prime's armor
Its meant to be like that, autobot blasters basically tickle them while decepticon blasters do real damage

This fight may have been different if Soundwave played a video of Megatron proclaiming "Nobody rids me of Optimus Prime but me, do you understand? DO YOU?!" to Skyquake. Order no longer stands. Skyquake would have less reason to fight. Maybe the Decepticons retreat for the day after detecting Megatron. Skyquake could be the one to retrieve him and then guard Megatron while he rests. He obeys Starscream only on the condition of until Megatron awakens.
I want to say the skyquake got washed away too early and Cliff jumper died right in the first episode of season 1
A new toy for Skyquake's been leaked for the new legacy Evolution series so he's going to be coming back from the dead, in a really big way fused with his G1 counterpart's design!

I think dreadwing also had his ship that got him to earth and then access to the warship’s armory later on. Skyquake had been in stasis so he’d only have access to whatever he had on him prior to entering stasis.

I never knew all these years that Skyquake and Dreadwing were twin brothers. I never thought I would say I have sympathy for Decepticons, but I have shown it to those two. It breaks my heart that they never got to be together. Because of this I thought to have the twins in a story I wrote where they're treated badly by Starscream and a hero talks them into making their own choices instead of letting Starscream making the choices for them. To repay the hero, Skyquake and Dreadwing would give him their weapons.

4:22 I might be looking at this wrong, but it appears that he got so disfigured after the crash that hes half transformed and half a robot mode.
So what I don't understand is, after he's resurrected as a zombie, how is he fully in robot mode.
And repaired enough to function.
I guess it could be chalked up to dark energon.
I also wonder what happened to him after the episode.
Like, what is he doing now.
My best guess is maybe he made his way outside of the Canyon by climbing or just breaking his way out.

And now is going around trying to attack stuff but isn't able to.
Since he is fueled by dark energon at this point, he probably faded into dust like the terrorcon predacons did when unicron was sealed away. Without unicron dark energon likely doesn't work, so he would either be laying dead in the shadow realm or just be gone entirely.

@@eggroll5510 this is just speculation and my opinion buy think the reason why they turned to dust was because the dark energon was holding the particles together.
Originally they were bones, but then maybe the structural integrity of the bones disintegrated because it integrated with dark energon
@Rimuru-ray the energon existed on other planets still because it doesn't need primus to function. Dark enegron is literally a form of necromancy, and it requires unicron to be free in some form. That's why at the end of predacons rising megatron lost his purple glow when unicron was removed from him.

Skyquake died so later on the writers have a reason for Megs to scrap DreadWing.
