Here’s the music from the beginning • Transformers: War for ...
Edit 05/10/2023: I love youtube comment sections - Развлечения
This Megatron is the most dangerous iteration for two reasons:
1: He doesn't let his pride and arrogance go to his head and he knows he's powerful and doesn't need to show off.
2: He's calm, cunning, deceitful, and a master strategist. He learns from his mistakes and doesn't commit them again, he gaslights and manipulates everyone into serving him, he plans ahead and has backup plans within plans.
A testament to this Megatron's brilliance is seen in episode one of the series, he attacks the Autobots alone and is defeated because of Starscream's betrayal. After that he never made another mistake, he kept every Decepticon at arm's length and never got close to anyone, he doesn't fight alone and has backup at the ready and most importantly he does not underestimate the Autobots nor Starscream again and takes full measure to ensure he wins. He never lost a 1v1 or a 1v5 battle because of skill, the Autobots won due to third-party interference.
Would that also include how Megatron lost his arm do to Starscream blowing it off during his fight on the shuttle before plummeting into a firy inferno? And not only his arm but his cannon arm?
He's just peak megatron
Estou estouip
And he's British. I loved his voice.
Not even prime megatron can compete with animated megatron
The only version of Megatron who instantly murdered Starscream after the first betrayal.
What about megatron cyberverse?
to be fair, it probably wasn't the first
@brayansoto7856 I wouldn't call that murder "instant". It was somewhat drawn out.
@@brayansoto7856 Wasn’t instantly
Yeah to be honest after Starscream's first betrayal, Megatron didn't really kill him as he basically just had him dragged back into the ship and basically had him tortured
In other words where cyberverse Megatron chose to not kill him and let it end right away instead chose to make his pain and humiliation last, while this version decided likely based on the fact that he didn't have the means to just capture starscream and hold him to be tortured let alone have anywhere to do so yet and knew that he'd likely escape and stay a threat to him even if he had any of those things since he is really cunning to the point where he almost killed him the first time and had more important things to deal with anyways so decided to just to kill him now and get it over to make sure he doesn't have to deal with him later on and make him an example
Prime Megatron : let's starscream live despite his multiple failures and betrayals
This Megatron : Kills him on the spot and kept killing him afterwards despite his immortality
I mean he only let Starscream return because he gave the keys for the Omega Lock.
@@Shevtress plus, watching Starscream fail continuously was one of his few forms of leisure entertainment
He said it himself. He allowed Starscream to live despite all the backstabbery because he “took a certain delight cataloguing (his) string of failures.”
@CasualNickname as entertaining as they maybe, they still cost him in the end so that's not really smart
Probably because he was the most effective person for his post. Airachnid is just as backstabby but much harder to control compared to Starscream. Dreadwing was very loyal but showed little in results and even has his own code that could supercede his orders.
I love how TFA gave the cons their own “roll out” motto with “transform and rise up” it fits them so perfectly with the fact they’re revolutionaries, and basically all fly
Was Animated the first series to use that? That's pretty neat. Did they keep using it after Prime?
@@shinysamurott613 iirc they did. But only once I think in the season finale(?), after Starscream realigned himself with the Decepticons.
@@rphlcrvz Oh yeah I knew about that. I'm asking if they continued using it in other stuff after Prime Season 2 in
To be fair… in More than meets the Eye… which I believe was the original series… they used to say “Decepticons! SCRAMBLE!!!!”
While that didn’t seem to stick around, it’s one that still sticks with me tbh
Decepticons attack!!!!!¡
Animated Megatron is the best version of the character. He's menacing, a master manipulator, but very calm and has personality.
True but you know what they saw. "You can't beat the original".
TFP Megatron:

@@youtuber9566 unpopular opinion: g1 megatron is extremely overrated
@DecepticonProductions Well, if we didn't have the "overrated" G1 megatron, we might not have had the others.
Damn, Megatron really gaslit, gatekept, and girl bossed all over this show
Took the “DECEPTICON” name to a whole new level.
We need a battle of gaslight gatekeep girlboss between Animated Megatron and Cyberverse Megatron. The guy that gaslit everyone he meet vs the guy that gaslight humanity with a livestream
What sets this Megatron above the rest is the fact he can be intimidating without raising his voice or battering his minions.
His presence demands respect and when his enemies have the upper hand he finds ways to out smart them.
Plus, he does a whole lot of manipulating than the other Megatrons.
Agreed
True he does do that I just prefer TFP Megatron more since he never wastes an opportunity to use someone like ratchet Orion pax and predaking he always knew what to say and how to play his cards correct also the fact he is so feared with his honest being a weapon he uses
Never fought I would see the day a megatron uses honesty as a weapon with his manipulation high IQ and cunning adding to why only Optimus stood a fighting change against him
The truly powerful don’t need to scream to show their power
Also, I can't help but laugh at Megatron's sarcasm when he says "Whaaat? Who told you that?"
I've always interpreted it as less sarcasm and more Megatron being really REALLY bad at acting innocent
And yet somehow everyone buys it

What I always loved about animated is how they changed the Optimus and Megatron dynamic. They are always supposed to be equals/rivals but in this show Prime in the beginning isn’t even remotely close to Megatrons level making prime more of an underdog so that when they do beat Megatron it’s more satisfying. Megatron doesn’t even remember primes name in this version as shown at 5:24 It’s less Dante vs Vergil and more so David and Goliath if you catch my drift
Agreed. And it's all the more satisfying when the rivalry BECOMES the classic rivalry that we all know them for. Really wished we had a Season 4 though. It would have been sweet to see how far their rivalry had gone.
Makes the final episode where he says his full name so satisfying
Was he even a prime in the first place?
I remember his ranking being a cadet, even jazz outranked optimus
I forgot at what part exactly did he receive the title prime
@@primus3217I think ultra Magnus gave him the rank of prime when he pulled some strings to be in command of the space bridge repair crew (I think it’s mentioned in the series 3 finale)
@@primus3217he's still a Prime. I guess Ultra Magnus does not want to lose face by keeping Optimus around (hence why he doesn't have the Elite Guard insignia) but does not want to waste a really good cadet so with Magnus pulling some strings, Optimus technically can keep his status as a Prime, of the Repair Bot sector instead of the Academy
11:30 "its my private blend" *as he hand shaking his oil cup designed as a wine glass like a sophisticated villain* damn, compared to all megatron incarnations, this has got to be the most villanous gentleman. His sophistication and speech patterns are off the charts
And not only does he brew the stuff himself, supplementary material reveals he’s also fond of a place on Cybertron called Maccadam’s Old Oil House, a place where both Autobots and Decepticons can meet and hang out on neutral terms. In fact, Megatron was quite displeased to hear Sentinel Prime had the place shut down for “harboring Decepticons”.
I like how they gave him that depth, showing he actually had hobbies and interests outside of being the face of the Decepticons.

You gotta admire Starscream’s determination for never giving up trying to “offline” Megatron, and even more credit with the fact he was doing this for the last 4 million Years 9:33
And not even Dead could stop him.
Corey Burtons portrayal of Megatron is just perfection. I just love how menacing and manipulative he is to the other Decepticons (especially Lugnut). He’s calm, cunning, sly, humorous and deceitful.
It highlights just how much he is willing to do to achieve his goal. I also love the fact that he wants to destroy earth basically out of spite, for keeping him captive over 50 years plus. It’s either this Megatron or TF Prime Megatron which are my favourite, I tend to fluctuate between the two.
I don’t even really have any bad things to say about this Megatron I just love him. Starscream is just perfection in this show as well. He is the only Starscream to technically fully defeat Megatron (though he didn’t live to see it) because, he was so relentless, having contingency plan everywhere. The bombs he placed inside the Omega supreme clones essentially lead to Megatrons complete defeat by the hands of Optimus Prime. Xx
Had Optimus not been in his way, he'd be indifferent to Earth though. I'm pretty sure the reason he wanted to destroy Earth out of spite was because Optimus cares about Earth, and Optimus was responsible for so many of Megatron's setbacks, that Megatron was just really pissed off at this point.
This Megatron was so memorable and my personal favorite of the Megatrons, probably because his voice is so sinisterly, his designs in Cybertronian shared similarities to his 2007 movie counterpart, and his Earth form has more g1 stylized/militaristic appearance. And he is super cunning. Along with being a very powerful warrior to boot, definitely showing not only in brains but brawns on why he is the TRUE leader of the Decepticons
He seems like a calm and reasonable person.
But is he a calm and reasonable person?
@@borisstoyanov3488TFA Megatron: If the moment calls for calm.
If Animated Megatron worked with G1, Bayverse and Prime Megatron, Animated Megatron would be their babysitter.
Megatron had a coercive cunning over bloated posturing; Starscream is fixated on self interest, Megatron is fixed on Decepticon agenda.
Animated Megatron is the only Megatron I’ve seen that’s actually intimidating.
Yeah, he reminds me of the Utrom Shredder
Prime
Not as much intimidating @@shockie3963
Animated Megatron is so awesome, he is so damn intimidating because he's smart.
If I ever dmed a DnD campaign, I'f make a Warforged Battlesmith Artificer based off Animated Megatron. Well, at least personality wise, as dual wielding sucks in dnd.
Or maybe I could create a Variant Human artificer with just Animated Megatron's personality, who has Charisma as his secondary stat, and multiclassing into Conquest Paladin.
This is my favorite version of Megatron of all time! Corey Burton did a fantastic job voicing this handsome warlord!
Too much horniness lol
I love Megatron's design!And his voice too!
For anyone wondering, he also voiced Dooku in TCW and the old Jango Fett game years ago. He really is a great VA.
You know it’s funny, I usually drink soda in them on special occasions but I learned how to hold a wineglass thanks to this version of Megatron
I love Animated and I love this Megatron, he didn't need any Dark Energy nor did he rely on brute force he mainly used his Head
I swear, if he had to fight Prime Megatron, but they both got preparation time the day before...
Prime Megatron would prepare his Dark Energon, meanwhile, Animated Megatron would sneak into Prime Megatron's stasis pod room, and manipulate it so that the effects on Dark Energon are reversed on Prime Megatron.
So when Prime Megatron takes the Dark Energon during battle, he doesn't become stronger anymore, but weaker.
It’s funny that Corey Burton did Malware from Ben 10 Omniverse and he did this version of Megatron. I’m starting to think that both Animated Megatron and Malware kinda sounded the same
What's funnier is that, apparently, the same people worked for both series, Marty Isenberg and Derrick J Wyatt. There were also Easter eggs to TFA in Ben 10: Omniverse, such as Grimlock's sword and Lockdown's hook hand being trophies in Khyber the Huntsman's ship. Is it wrong if I think TFA and Ben 10: Omniverse share the same universe?
He was also Shockwave in G1 and this show
They do sound the same, and are both great.
@@johnnygyro2295 I think TFA might exist in an alternate timeline of the Ben 10 universe.

One of the scariest things about this one is that he's not facing Autobots who are seasoned warriors. Ratchet is a tired old medic. Bumblebee and Bulkead are boot camp washouts. Optimus and Prowl are actual warriors, but they lack experience and firepower.
Usually at least Optimus is an equal for Megatron, but this Optimus? Not until the finale upgrades. And he was still the strongest warrior of the bunch.
Ain't you a mod on the RWBY wiki?
other megatrons are beef jerky compared to the filet mignon that is animated megatron
Animated Megatron is just Near Pure Evil
1.Despite considered as pure evil by fans, he also respects opponent too.
2.He admits his defeat.
What I always liked about this Megatron is that he's the only one who sounds so charming and persuasive that he could actually convince you that he's the real victim and the Autobots are the true oppressors. Pretty much every other Megatron focuses on sounding as scary and menacing as possible, but TFA Megatron is a genuine smooth talker who can play the victim when he wants to, and that makes him a lot more frightening in a way.
I think there were only two times this Megatron ever lost his temper. The first was when he found a recording of Starscream boasting about how he was the one who blew up Megatron (understandable, since he was stuck as a motionless head for fifty years); and when his Lugnut Supremes had their rockets disabled (because his planned invasion of Cybertron was completely derailed on Earth).
The design, the voice, the swagger... Oh my!
In an age where Megatron as a good guy has become quite popular, it's easy to forget that he used to be one of the coolest villains in all of fiction.
As someone stated this Megatron is an elegant bully ... and I love him
Thanks for making this video. Now I'm reminded of his voice. Now when I read he comics, this is the voice I will hear in my head. I love how Megatron *kinda* starts to show respect for Optimus as time goes on. "We are destined to battle on this ship once more, Autobot." to outright using his name once he's been properly told it. Of course, this is more frustration than anything, but it feels like there's some percentage of respect there. Plus, Optiimus showing him mercy by saying "That'd be the easy way out, Megatron. You don't deserve it." stuck with me as a kid. Yeah, I've seen and heard it before, but it lives rent-free in my mind sometimes when I think of true Heroism.
We don't know much about TFA Megs. Maybe the autobots really were unforgiving like in the IDW universe, and maybe one day in the past he truly was a noble warrior fighting against oppression, before being radicalized. From the Omega Project and Arcee's story, we know Magnus wasn't perfect and wasn't afraid to consider less ethical approaches to problems.
I think that, given enough time, Megatron and Optimus could end up seeing eye to eye. Maybe even fighting together to make a better Cybertron.
Yeah his voice is the best because all the other Megs sound like thugs, there's no intelligence or charisma to them, this is the thinking man's Megatron
The thing that always stood out to me about Megatron in this version, is his interactions with the constructocons. Cause...he was dead right. One hundred persent. He never lied to them. He told them that the autobots could not be trusted, that they pretend to be your friends, but are cunning and mercyless. And what happens when they go to the autobots? They get poisoned. By their friend bulkhead.
It almost feels like a self fulfilling prophecy.
Animated Megatron can be benevolent sometimes. He may still be a bossy dictator, but if we look at Blackarachnia, then meeting Megatron was the best thing that could have happened to her, after she has been infected.
Heck, I can even see why Lugnut is so obsessed with Megatron. Lugnut probably got judged by every bot wherever he went, for not knowing how social interactions work. I'm pretty sure Lugnut is autistic. And being octracized all the time really fucks with one's mind. Megatron, on the other hand, didn't judge Lugnut a single time. He may be a bit exasperated sometimes, but he never judges Lugnut, and never tells Lugnut to change or conform to some societal standards, Megatron just allowed Lugnut to be himself, and that's the reason Lugnut is so damn obsessed with Megatron.
Megatron hiring Blackarachnia be like: "I can excuse mass destruction, but I draw the line at racism."
Autobots: "you can excuse mass destruction?!"
Like, if Animated Megatron swapped Decepticons with G1 Megatron, G1 Megatron would die from a spark attack because of how cringe the Animated Decepticons are.
@@katzikat4669he also learns to tolerate Blitzwing, who literally has split personality disorder. Literally none of his OG crew is normal, mentally or physically, except maybe Starscream, who just turned on him regardless. It's a wonder that he still keeps them around

Animated Megatron is pretty chill with Animated Blitzwing though. Heck, his comment to Blitzy being a total maniac, as usual, in the episode "Lost and Found" , was "hmmmm... Blitzwing is a bit unstable."
So, Animated Megatron would definetly be hella chill with the G1 Decepticons.
@@katzikat4669 All things considered, Megatron would be considered a somewhat decent boss at least if you don't try to pull a starcream move or stand in his way. Compared to someone like Sentinel who is supposed to be a "good guy" but is borderline abusive to his underlings, I wonder why Magnus keeps him around. He's not even a decent fighter
What I absolutely love about this Megatron it's just how deceptive and conniving he can be. He really lives up to the decepticon name
"Get away from my weapons of mass destruction."
It's a shame they didn't keep the cybernetic growls, animated Megatron definitely has my vote. Don't get me wrong, Megatron from transformers prime is awesome too, considering he has his original voice.

My top 3 favorite versions of Megatron:
1. Prime (due to having a sympathetic side, being a complex character, somewhat tragic (he became like this because of the corrupt caste system) and also very powerful (from just random miner to gladiatorial champion of Kaon and then politician (leader of the Decepticons)).
2. It is shared by an Animated (due to his cold and serious attitude, charismatic and pragmatic side (he wasn’t wrong actually about an Autobot tyranny, considering that it is because of the Autobots Wasp became insane in their prison complex or, when Sentinel Jerk became a temporary Magnus, he created a military dictatorship on Cybertron), and his sheer intelligence and power) and Beast Wars (due to being also charismatic, theatrical intelligent and more charming (not to mention that is also more dangerous than G1 Megatron and the only version that actually became a ruler of all Cybertron), and also having dangerous intelligence like Animated one).
3. G1 (I know that he is somewhat typical cliched bad guy, like all characters from G1. But if there wouldn’t be because of this guy, then we wouldn’t have other versions of Megatron).
Prime Megatron isn't complex though...
@@ChangedMyNameFinally69ime Megatron is also Wfc/Foc Megatron, and the same one from the novel's. He's much more complex than basically any other version.

I kinda do feel sorry for Megatron in this one though.
Is it weird that I headcanon Animated in this show as not just a sociopath, but an ADHD sociopath, and just masking the ADHD so damn well, that only the positive aspects are visible from the outside, while he literally just started masking that ADHD because he just literally couldn't afford to be reckless and unfocused anymore?
Hear me out:
His joined up thinking allows him to always find a solution for everything. In situations where others would just be helpless, Megatron's creative, joined up thinking ass, always finds a way out of literally every troublesome situation. Reduced to his head? Hacks some machines in hopes of still retrieving the Allspark. Finds out that Sari's key can heal robots? Builds Soundwave to find out how this shit works. A material needs to be transported really damn fast? Gives that speeding up suit to a thief and convinces him to get that material to him. Stuck in outer space, and captured by Omega Supreme, and stuck in a passed out Omega Supreme? Fucks around until he takes control of Omega Supreme.
His energetic and passionate demeamor is contagious, and greatly assists him in his charisma.
Then there is the hyperfocus. Throughout the show, he expresses a state of hyperfocus, constantly working on conquering Cybertron, and doing so tirelessly. I headcanon that off screen, he has alarm clocks to remind him to consume his Energon and to recharge.
And of course, him not remembering names most certainly comes from arrogance, but maybe remembering names just doesn't trigger ebough joy signals (Cybertronian version of dopamine) to even bother with that.
@@katzikat4669 I’ll be straight up with you, it is weird (especially with the extent you’ve thought this out, wow) but at the same time it’s cool you’re having fun with it

You ever think how somehow TFA animated is the only straightly played Meg?
I feel like he's ironicallu the least silly or cartoonishly evil, this Meg is all about cunning and intelligence, I can actually see him as being a very effective leader of the Decepticons cause he knows his priorities and is able to make people want to follow him.
Until he gets really mad at Optimus Prime and begins his obsession at the ending of the series which is hilarious.
TFP Megatron might have been one but well considering his present obsession with defeating Optimus, his god complex and his love of bullying others, he kind of wastes a lot of time on Earth to defeat Prime when the decepticons could be gathering their resources as Starscream and Airachnid have considered more tactical, and he obviously has less control of his emotions and has to resort to outbursts when his troops or underlings fail, they follow him out of fear instead of being inspired or believing in the decepticon cause.
TFP Megatron is more of an unhinged tyrant than calm and calculating leader when you think about it.
He has moments of cunning and intelligence but like I said it might just be a side he isn't exercising anymore.
Between this and transformers prime Megatron, these are infinity tiles better than most other versions.
Prime Megs was just a slightly more intimidating, slightly more competent version of G1 Megatron
I love how this Megatron views all Autobots as insignificant but starts to remember Optimus's name after he beats him
My number 1 incarnation of Megatron. Even when all hope seems lost for him, he still finds a way back!

Hm TFA Megatron really should of tryed to show Optimus the truth of the war, slowly have him see the autobots as the real villans, point out every wrong and evil doings they had committed, have him reailze that aracna 7 was never his fault how it was all Sentinal's idea and that it was blackarachina who used her power to change herself into a tech organic and remind him how Ultra Magnus never checked the ship's camras that would of proved his innocents only taking Sentinal's word and what he said to him. No thought with all of that and histroy datapads they had that wasn't rewritten Optimus would of changed sides.
This design was based off of Super Megatron from the end of the Japanese sagas and it’s so cool to see these writers definitely were nerds for the franchise
his voice is just amazing
We're getting an Animated Optimus Prime in the 2024 Legacy United lineup, I'm BEGGING Hasbro for Animated Megatron!!!
My favourite Megatron and also my introduction to the character
he literally pitched a powerpoint to the constructobots to join his cause 😂
"Decepticons! Transform and rise up" is the single greatest line in this entire series and the only reason I didn't completely dismiss it as mid children's fare offhand.
That this hasn't replaced "Decepticons RETREEEAT" as Megatrons catchphrase is a shame.
The sexiest Megatron
The most dangerous villains are the level-headed ones, like this continuity's Megatron. Not the ones who let their petty rage and pride get in the way, like the Prime continuity's Megatron. Also, TFA's Megatron was better at managing his minions' personalities than Prime's Megatron did.
This version of Megatron is powerful, intimidating, cunning, eloquent, and also low key funny sometimes.
His line about Starscream not even able to lead a parade got me laughing my ass off.
Better than any other version of Megatron
6:27, one must wonder how powerful this version of Ultra Magnus was to be able to make Megatron hesitate a bit.
I wish we saw more of his power; we got a slight glimpse of that on Dinobot Island, where he scared them off with his hammer. Other than that, he’s pretty much just a standing brick, and we’re supposed to just trust that he’s insanely strong.
5:17 I love how this foreshadow the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Since in that battle Megatron has finally acknowledged Optimus name and he regretted that he remembered Optimus Prime name.
The various seasons of Transformers usually showcase a wide range of earthly energy sources that the decepticons convert into the energeon cubes.
I all so liked Transformer’s Prime Megatron.
I like how Megatron twisted his barrel into a wine glass
transformers animated solidified that megatron is my fave transformer. i just love this design especially with the two swords.
Fun fact: Shockwave’s VA also voiced Megatron here in this
I really wanted that Megatron vs Power Master Armor Prime we were going to get at the end of Season 4
Animated Megatron favorite chase frase "oh just shut up"
6:09 I've never noticed until now Shockwave was actually LAUGHING at Lugnut
He’s actually the strongest (animated) megatron especially and his deception is much better then all other megatrons.
5:16 nice cut.
It had me on the floor! 😂
"As I finally take my revenge on the one responsible for my 50 stellar cycles of helplessness and humiliation!
...and I guess I'll kill Optimus afterwards, since he's here."
from this 5:18 to this 6:44, 7:00 is perfect. Optimus pissed him off this much that he remembered his name for sure. Making it more like their classic encounters.
When Megatron and the Decepticons in any continuity has blamed Autobots and how they are the true evil, i use to think they're making excuse for their evil deeds but now as i learned more about Megatron, how he was a slave, a servant who was treated like lower class of life while Autobots lived their luxurious and priviledged lives. It kinda made me feel bad about Megatron and how he began his revolution against his "opressors." His mistreated life was his reason to form the Decepticons. Megatron was in both right and wrong.
That was for other versions like Prime Megatron. We have no idea what Megatrons past is like in tfa.
@@Vilgax00 All i remember that he was once a decepticon soldier/minion/servant who overthrow the inital Decepticon leader Megazarak and took the name Megatron and rise up as the new leader. However, it could be possible that Megatron was also mistreated and joined to the decepticon cause 🤷 but that's my wild guess. He even describes himself as the "freedom fighter" but who knows, maybe he is pure evil at his very core.
Loved this Megatron, sounds and looks so badass. Only thing I can’t understand is the massive height difference, Optimus is as tall as his knee’s, Jesus Christ lmao. Other than that this is probably my favorite version of him
Well, in this universe Decepticons are supposed to be bigger than Autobots.
Jets are much bigger than most land vehicles IRL so instead of mass-shifting like seemingly every other Transformers continuity does, they actually kept them huge. They got that from the Bay movies though which was one of the few genuinely good parts of those movies
After all these years I still can't get over those long ass sholders
