It can be really challenging to navigate; from all of the different emotions you feel to changes with family dynamics, logistics, and fear of the future. But there’s always hope in Christ and He is with you each step of the way.

I haven't had a death in my family but I have been grieving the loss of my marriage of 53 years. I know it's not the same or as hard as dealing with a physical death, but it is painfully grievous to the heart, mind, body and spirit. It has been a long process of adjusting to this change. I am fortunate that my family has been there for me but most importantly God has been there for me and will continually help me with whatever my needs are when I place my trust in Him.
I’m so so sorry to hear that. It is so very similar to experiencing death of a loved one. Grief is grief. That is a major loss for you and I can only imagine how hard it’s been after having 53 years together 🥹 I’m going to pray for you tonight, Dawn. I lost my dad when I was 8, then I didn't understand but now I'm 30 it hurts a lot, whenever I hit rock bottom I always wish he could be here to give me advice. Recently I lost my 2+ years relationship and it's been intensely painful. Some days are just unbearable and I can't leave my room . Then today I came across the ending of Psalm 73 , so powerful

I stumbled across your video today. It was very comforting. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I lost my 27 year old daughter. There is so much grief. I never thought that I could live through such a thing, but here I am. I pour myself into my creative side and lose myself in the peacefulness of it. I find creating calms me. I may not be able to feel genuine happiness again, but I can experience peace. Beautiful video!

My twin died when we were 29 years old - about 8 years ago. My mom is trying to find some hobbies to help her grief. So I loved reading your comment. You sound similar to me. Creating is truly therapeutic. What do you like to create?
@@halleymastrolonardo Thank you Halley. I am so sorry about your loss too. My 30 year old daughter is struggling with the loss of her sister. It has forever changed her. I cannot imagine you losing your twin.

I like to create content. I started not even knowing how to turn my computer on lol. I have my Holiday Backgrounds channel and another one, Colleena Renee that I rarely post on. Really, prob. just avoiding what I went here on the first place to do, which is share grief and navigating life through trauma. I will get there eventually. Your channel is lovely. It was my 32 year old son I lost, served in several ministries, and people in several States devasted still 10 months later.
I know there is a special bond and a very special connection between twins, let alone sisters and I will continue to pray for you.

@@suzettewoolley5397 I love this scripture! Thank you so much. I was really tired this day I filmed the video haha so that must be it. As I’m no longer in a season of grieving but hoping to just relate to others since I was once there.
I praise God the sadness of the loss of my twin has not been as heavy as it used to be! It’s been 8 years since my twin died and wow, God is faithful to bring me such a long way!
I also have 3 kids under 6 so I am feeling it lately 😂 😴 thank you for your encouragement !
@halleymastrolonardo I am glad to know you are no longer in a season of grief and yes that is one of reasons we are not exempt from grief and sadness so we can in turn help those who are going through such a time. And yes that is a beautiful scripture from Habbukuk. I came upon that scripture from the website of Rooney sews - another godly sister. And yes having 3 children under 6 is a full on not to mention exhausting time. Remember Psalms 23:7 "Children are a blessing and gift from the Lord". Yes it's exhausting and seems never ending but one day ( and believe me Halley it comes fast) they will be grown up and all your hard work will pay off when they become not only your adult children but also your friends. Dear Halley, you came upon my feed a few weeks back and it ministered God’s tenderness to my heart. My wonderful husband and best friend for 43 years passed onto heaven on Dec. 21st, 2022. Going on 19 months now. I can truly say if it had not been for my relationship and love for my Lord Jesus and His complete faithfulness to walk me through this difficult season- I would have been a wreck, probably turn to any vice to numb the pain. I shudder the though because my life before Christ- years ago, was complete bondage.
Grief is an odd thing. You can have a good week or even a few and then…bam!!! Something happens and your crying and that heaviness settles on your chest. God is my hope and mighty fortress. He is so faithful. Thank you so much for your soothing videos. We would’ve been married 40 years this year in April. I miss my hiking & adventure buddy. Seniors yes, but very active and hiking was wonderful with him! 🥹
