I haven't had a death in my family but I have been grieving the loss of my marriage of 53 years. I know it's not the same or as hard as dealing with a physical death, but it is painfully grievous to the heart, mind, body and spirit. It has been a long process of adjusting to this change. I am fortunate that my family has been there for me but most importantly God has been there for me and will continually help me with whatever my needs are when I place my trust in Him.
I’m so so sorry to hear that. It is so very similar to experiencing death of a loved one. Grief is grief. That is a major loss for you and I can only imagine how hard it’s been after having 53 years together 🥹 I’m going to pray for you tonight, Dawn. May you continue to find hope, courage and comfort each day moving forward. Thank you for sharing your story with me here ❤️

Halley, you look so sad sweetheart. Remember Habakkuk 3:17-19. "Although the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the field yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He makes my feet like hind's feet, He makes me tread upon my high places". I pray the LORD will sustain you and give you strength to go through this time of grief. @@suzettewoolley5397 I love this scripture! Thank you so much. I was really tired this day I filmed the video haha so that must be it. As I’m no longer in a season of grieving but hoping to just relate to others since I was once there. I praise God the sadness of the loss of my twin has not been as heavy as it used to be! It’s been 8 years since my twin died and wow, God is faithful to bring me such a long way! I also have 3 kids under 6 so I am feeling it lately 😂 😴 thank you for your encouragement !
@halleymastrolonardo I am glad to know you are no longer in a season of grief and yes that is one of reasons we are not exempt from grief and sadness so we can in turn help those who are going through such a time. And yes that is a beautiful scripture from Habbukuk. I came upon that scripture from the website of Rooney sews - another godly sister. And yes having 3 children under 6 is a full on not to mention exhausting time. Remember Psalms 23:7 "Children are a blessing and gift from the Lord". Yes it's exhausting and seems never ending but one day ( and believe me Halley it comes fast) they will be grown up and all your hard work will pay off when they become not only your adult children but also your friends. I stumbled across your video today. It was very comforting. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I lost my 27 year old daughter. There is so much grief. I never thought that I could live through such a thing, but here I am. I pour myself into my creative side and lose myself in the peacefulness of it. I find creating calms me. I may not be able to feel genuine happiness again, but I can experience peace. Beautiful video!
@@HolidayBackgrounds I am so sorry to hear about your daughter! It is so hard to navigate life after. I never thought I’d be able to survive either but here we are, like you said. God is faithful to carry us! My twin died when we were 29 years old - about 8 years ago. My mom is trying to find some hobbies to help her grief. So I loved reading your comment. You sound similar to me. Creating is truly therapeutic. What do you like to create?
@@halleymastrolonardo Thank you Halley. I am so sorry about your loss too. My 30 year old daughter is struggling with the loss of her sister. It has forever changed her. I cannot imagine you losing your twin. I am so sorry for your mother too. I hope she can find something that brings her peace. I like to create content. I started not even knowing how to turn my computer on lol. I have my Holiday Backgrounds channel and another one, Colleena Renee that I rarely post on. Really, prob. just avoiding what I went here on the first place to do, which is share grief and navigating life through trauma. I will get there eventually. Your channel is lovely. @@stacysmith4087 oh that is so kind! Thanks for being here :) I used little drawstring bags that are specific for tea and bath soaking. You can type it in on google or amazon and find some easily! I put rose petals, calendula, lavender, oats, and Epsom salts in mine :) thank you for watching. Let me know if you make any!
Mine is a difficult kind of grief that leaves me feeling like a failure. My four children are alive, but my older two have had no contact with me for three years, and my younger one, though 19 and at home, has lied to me for three years. I homeschooled my third child one year and has been away at college for three years but seems more connected. I was an only parent. No one else to blame but me.
@@jolynmcteigue8371 I am so sorry, this is definitely a painful grief you’re experiencing with your children. Any mother would feel this way. although I do not know your circumstances and there’s of course sincere and honest reflections we can make as moms, and where we could have made different choices, they too are responsible for their own decisions and the enemy wants to use this situation to further accuse you and lie to you so that it intensities your grief. We are imperfect parents but GOD can do the impossible with wayward and prodigal children. This is both mine and my husbands story. I’m going to pray for you today, for the Lord to restore encouragement and hope for you! And as you pray for them may you pray as if you already have victory and they’ve returned to you and Him! Thank you for sharing your story with me today

I lost my beloved mother in February 2023. And still navigating the stages of grief, as I miss her dearly. I know joining a,church will greatly help with spiritual growth and group support. I hope to choose the right one for me.

Thank you Halley for reminding us with that verse. Even when our children are grown ip there are different problems they encounter and all we can do is pray for Our Father's strength, love and peace over them. I am in muy 60's now and my daughter is 31 but the best thing we can do is to pray for them and for us. So beautiful and encouraging to see a Godly Christian and beautiful sister reading that uplifting scripture. God bless🙏❤❤😊

Thank you for this. My father died 9 days ago at the age of 95. His death has brought up memories and emotions from my mothers untimely death 46 years ago when I was 20. Please pray for me to allow myself to fully grieve and in doing so strengthen my relationship with Jesus.

Your video is so poignant, so true. Thank you for sharing. I’ve lost both of my parents and the grief is hard to describe at times. I want to get a bike again and take bike rides down country roads. It feels overwhelming at times. But I also find cooking, hiking, kayaking, journaling are therapeutic. You’ve inspired me much to journal again. This is so encouraging ❤ can i ask what church or denomination you are a member of? I am in between Greek catholic tradition which i love and grew up in and baptist kind of free church were God has graciously put me in my hardest period. They don't have beliefs about Communion that i have and i don't feel free to go to GC Table without going to confession.... but i do lone for Communion and cannot get how to have both community of believers who support my spiritual life and Communion... sorry for long text
Aww yes anytime :) thanks for sharing your story! I am part of a non denominational Christian church. I’ve been apart of a few denominations throughout the years so I understand the struggle. Sorry it’s been this way for you, I’m surprised to hear that the Baptist church does not have beliefs about communion. They don’t observe it at all?
@halleymastrolonardo how does your church do Communion every day? I only heard about evangelical churches that they have it max once a week. In my church they believe it is just a rememberance of last supper and do it only after a series of teaching ends. Which can be every 5-7 weeks

First off I will say religion isn't a bad thing and it can work well for people when they keep it in perspective. I do think the bible can be dangerous when people take it literally. My path to happiness started when I freed myself from believing in heaven and hell. Hell is a terrible thing to teach a child. My best friend who is still a Catholic went through the same thing. I do believe in a higher power. I see it in nature. It's everywhere. Halley you are a gentle soul. We all deserve to be happy.
For some reason my comment didn't go through last time so I wanted to go back and tell you that I enjoy your channel very much. Never. Thought I would want to do social media.So I never got into it because I knew I needed a more personal close relationship with others. I started. A group called choose joy about ten years ago and we have been very close through to illness, Accidents , death and much much joy and everything in between. These are the blessings that God will give us if we are willing to go to him in prayer and just ask him for the things that we need.In this world. He is such a gracious and loving father. Our creator, Our guide and teacher, And he? Loves us so much. God bless you all out there.I pray you find these more personal connections that you seek.❤

It’s how it should be. I had a close knit group like that I was apart of for five years or so before I relocated states, and it was a very special time in my life. God uses everything! Gone onto Instagram with Facebook.I just had this instinct that it would take me away from all that was important to me. The Most important being God. About. Ten years ago I started a group called choose joy. It's around 8 To ten women that are christians or aspire to know God More. We have been there for each other through sickness.And manywonderfully blessed together. To me , that is what god wants us to do is to connect personally with other women and help each other grow and Mourn, And enjoy life together and all god's gifts that he has given to us. I'm gonna pray that all others out there.Looking to connect will do it in this personal way. We call each other God sisters. I could not do life without them. They are gift. Dear Halley, just came across your channel by God's providence! After 15 years of being estranged from my two now grown daughters, my heart is still grieving. I have reached out many ,many times over the years through gifts and cards, but no respond. One daughter has moved and will not allow me her contact info. My other daughter has a little girl and a new baby on the way. I raised both of my daughters to know and love Jesus, but they have walked away from Him many years ago and are living in ways that grieve Him and me. I am divorced from their father..and they have a very close relationship with him. He recently retired and moved across country to be near them. God has been so gracious and faithful to me over these years. He is my everyrhing! I pray that He will heal my broken heart and help me to continue to move forward with Him. I pray that He will bring my daughters back to himself and restore our relationships. He is the only one who can do this!! May He be glorified!! Grace and Blessings!

I lost my son 3 months ago at the tender age of 20 in a car accident. We are attending our second session of griefshare through Moody Church. Please pray for my husband and I as we navigate our life without our son. Losing a child is the biggest pain any parent goes through. We trust in God and in his promises of a new life in him. Amen

I would be devestated, i feel yr pain,this is so sad, you could turn his loss into a purposefull life( preventing that other parents have to go through the same pain) visiting schools and explaining for young boys that dangerous behaviour can lead to terrible consequences

Story of my life. My entire life has been Satan trying to kill steal and to destroy me. Relationships going out the door, and some quicker than others. Not allowed to be married, nor have children, nor fellow brethren who can relate spiritually to who I really am. I wonder how many more decades it will be before I finally receive. Either way, my relationship with Jesus and the revelation of His Word, will sustain me. But until I am accepted because my bank account will be large enough for them to judge me worthy of fellowship, I will hope and continue to watch and pray, for those who God is telling to minister to me, but they will not. I will continue my ministry unto them..

@@halleymastrolonardo thanks. God's been growing me a lot through it all, but I have a desire for fellowship with people in person. Almost every way that I have wanted or tried to have it, it seems that people get turned against me. If I did have a thorn in the flesh, I would say that perhaps I have been assigned a demon to cause people to avoid me like how a wild animal somehow knows not to eat something with aspartame in it.
This is beautiful and soothing. 8 and 1/2 years ago I lost my only son to suicide in the military. Prior to that his baby boy died at birth…..our only grandson. For 4 and 1/2 years i struggled through a hell I do not like to recall. But one day I cried out Jesus’ name out loud - over and over and over and over………and He heard my cry and lifted me up and exalted me! I am redeemed, happy, and I have the peace that surpasses understanding. It is all because of what Christ did for me and now I live for Him. Thank you for a beautiful message and video.
