Both of my sons have died tragically. One in 2009 and the other 2023. I feel broken beyond repair, I've been a christian since I was 20 years old and now I am 70. Please pray for me and my husband.

I lost my son 3 months ago at the tender age of 20 in a car accident. We are attending our second session of griefshare through Moody Church. Please pray for my husband and I as we navigate our life without our son. Losing a child is the biggest pain any parent goes through. We trust in God and in his promises of a new life in him. Amen

I would be devestated, i feel yr pain,this is so sad, you could turn his loss into a purposefull life( preventing that other parents have to go through the same pain) visiting schools and explaining for young boys that dangerous behaviour can lead to terrible consequences

I lost my son in 2012, then my best friend in 2013, then my sister in 2015. My pain exploded in 2015 and I called out to Jesus. He saved me on that day in May. Never stop knocking and asking for God and Jesus.

My husband and I were heading to a Christian Christmas concert this past December when we were hit by a car. My dear loving husband was killed and I was in the hospital for 3 weeks requiring 2 surgeries and 4 months of recovery. I have 7 adult children and this has been very difficult for all of us. My deepest pain and grief is that some of my own precious children are walking away from the Lord and not towards Him. This was happening before the accident and not caused by it. please pray for my prodigal children. My heart is broken in such deep grief at every level in my life but this is the very worse.

Christmas is such a rough time to lose someone then to have your children leaving the Lord - I can’t imagine all that you’re facing. I am in a healing process after my baby girl passed away 4 months ago. She was born premature at 23 weeks and is the first time that I have experienced lost of someone close and so loved. I have to relay on the Lord everyday and put my heart at his feet, fully surrendering and letting my fears for the future. I been feeling hopeless and I fight everyday to not give up because Jesus is the love of my life and I know He has the best for all of us.
Dont give up and dont let the enemys lies stop you from the beautiful future that is coming after all this hard time. God bless you all and remember Jesus never let us alone, He is the Prince of Peace 🧡

My husband is Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. I am struggling as he is starting to really decline. We will be married for 34 yrs end of July. We know God has a plan & as we say my husband is living on God's time, but the reality also sets in that I will be alone. Thank you for your kind words.

Oh Pam, I am so sorry to hear. I know pancreatic cancer can be very aggressive. And the reality of what may soon come is hard to process. My wife and I have been married for 34 years as well. We are believers in Christ and have enjoyed our time together here on earth. I can’t imagine what you are going through. I pray that the Lord gives you and your spouse a peace that surpasses all understanding in the name of Jesus. ❤
My mother passed on in 2022 and she was the foundation of my life … we were very close … this has left me grieving and mourning beyond heartbreak ….. please pray for me that I will find a future that is peaceful in some way … I miss her so much …

My beautiful daughter passsed away last year, and the Lord gave me Psalm 84 v6 when you go through the valley of weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs, the autumn rains will clothe it with blessing. I have never cried has much in my life, i am heartbroken, it was so sudden and i am probably still in shock, my husband has stage 4 cancer and i feel so caught up in death and sorrow, we have to go through it, and i liken it to a book, you have to go through all the chapters and some of them you remain in for has long has it takes to recover, my stage is sadness and i am determined to see it through so i can heal thoroughly, its has only been prayer and the kindness of others that has got me through, how else do we ever navigate this painful process, step by step even if that is all we can manage, and being kind to ourselves we are doing the best we can. thank you for sharing with us in your greif journey. I lost my husband 2 and a half years ago. I prayed and fasted for this man. We met late in life after losing our spouses. We were so happy but I lost him after only 3 years. It is a beautiful pain. I. Glad you said that. God gave me a special gift by giving him to me for those three years. My life is forever changed. Thank you for your video.

I think because we are created to love we suffer so much when we lose those we have a close relationship with, it is the worst pain and it makes us question everything, for me it brought me closer to God and I knew there must be a purpose to life and a life after death or it is all a waste of time. We can never blame God when tragedy strikes because he did not create us as machines, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and complex, we have freedom of will and things can go wrong. I lost my dad when i was in my early 20's , he died as a result of a road traffic accident, it was the worst experience of my life so far but Jesus walked with me every step of the way through the grief and His strength held me together. I am sorry for your losses and I can only imagine how traumatic it was for you to lose your twin, we know God will wipe away all tears and there will be no more suffering in His Kingdom but for now we walk by faith trusting in His promises. Amen! Thank you so much for your comment and I loved your insight. I completely agree, the Lord uses these things to bring us closer to Him and that’s exactly what happened to me. So even though it’s incredibly painful, it’s also beautiful and I wouldn’t trade my relationship with Jesus for anything! We meet Him in a deeper way through grief. I have experienced lots of losses. My brother, my parents, my baby girl and best friends 🙏 It all makes me feel grateful for having them being part of my life. The wonderful moments I had with them all it will always live forever in my heart. Every day in earth is a miracle to enjoy while we can 🙏✨

This is beautiful and soothing. 8 and 1/2 years ago I lost my only son to suicide in the military. Prior to that his baby boy died at birth…..our only grandson. For 4 and 1/2 years i struggled through a hell I do not like to recall. But one day I cried out Jesus’ name out loud - over and over and over and over………and He heard my cry and lifted me up and exalted me! I am redeemed, happy, and I have the peace that surpasses understanding. It is all because of what Christ did for me and now I live for Him. Thank you for a beautiful message and video. Thank you Halley. I know that I would be utterly lost without Jesus’ help through my grief. I thank Him many times each day for the time I had with my husband. Grief makes me feel so helpless and I miss him so much, but God has been carrying me through. Thank you Jesus.

I lost my 31 year old younger brother two and a half years ago. It gets harder as time goes on but the support has gotten less as others have returned to their lives. I ache daily with his passing and try to find comfort and solace in my faith in Christ but all I feel is lonliness and despair. I'm going through the motions of life.

@@nicolemariebrown4076 it’s very true. They do think that. I often tell people that losing my sibling/twin is like losing your childhood. Especially if they’re your only one. It’s like your childhood dies with them in a way. At least it’s been that way for me

Your video is so poignant, so true. Thank you for sharing. I’ve lost both of my parents and the grief is hard to describe at times. I want to get a bike again and take bike rides down country roads. It feels overwhelming at times. But I also find cooking, hiking, kayaking, journaling are therapeutic. You’ve inspired me much to journal again. This is so beautiful. It is exactly the path I followed to overcome grief and loss a couple of years ago. Daily quiete deliberate healingg sessions with the Lord. It's the only way.

Dear Halley, just came across your channel by God's providence!
After 15 years of being estranged from my two now grown daughters, my heart is still grieving. I have reached out many ,many times over the years through gifts and cards, but no respond. One daughter has moved and will not allow me her contact info. My other daughter has a little girl and a new baby on the way.
I raised both of my daughters to know and love Jesus, but they have walked away from Him many years ago and are living in ways that grieve Him and me.
I am divorced from their father..and they have a very close relationship with him. He recently retired and moved across country to be near them.
God has been so gracious and faithful to me over these years. He is my everyrhing! I pray that He will heal my broken heart and help me to continue to move forward with Him. I pray that He will bring my daughters back to himself and restore our relationships. He is the only one who can do this!! May He be glorified!!

I l9st my mother 2 years ago July 5th. I had been her full time caregiver for over 16 years. This had certainly been the most difficult season of grief. I just finished with a Grief share group..I may take it again in the fall..very helpful ❤

Oh Halley this video is the most heartfelt and accurate (at least to me) on grief, there truly are no words for it other than to go through it and realize that it may stay with you for years and years..... it just gets a bit easier. We hope that we see our lost loved ones in Heaven but that's never a guarantee -- thank you for reminding us to always turn to God and leave our burdens at His feet. Thank you for offering your prayers to us, I'll surely need that at some point.

I just lost my husband of 48 years last month --i had been caring for him since last November. My mornings are the most difficult time of day, waking alone in this house is difficult. I spoke to the Lord to give me strength to care for him which he did and now I am asking the Lord to give me the strength to grieve however way or how long it will be. The Lord is who I thank upon waking and the last when I go to bed. Thank you for your videos Halley, they are comforting.

I am sorry for your losses. I lsot my father 5 months ago to pancreatic cancer and it's been difficult. Never lost someone from thr immediate family. This is painful. I miss him and his childish way of being. I cannot imagine how difficult was for you after 2 losses, but I hope you find comfort in Jesus. 🙏God bless you!

My youngest son passed in April 2023 at the tender age of 24. I’m not even sure how I came across your channel but appreciate your content. I too am a believer and began attending Grief Share one month after my Seth passed, I just finished my 3rd round of 13 week sessions . It is an incredible support system. I highly recommend. I’m sure I will return to it in the near future and hope to help others too along the grief journey.

I’m crushed in spirit I can hardly lift my head from my pillow Nor can I be bothered to wash my face I have had many many years of mental abuse and suffering and my son is a thorn in my side he’s so nasty to me I’ve truly been suffering at the hands of evil and this latest situation feels like the final straw that broke the camels back I feel I want to withdraw a way from every one and disappear to a new town where no one knows me I’m like job in the bible I feel so disappointed and broken I’m tired of this world’ I’ve just found your channel thank you for your video

I miss my beloved parents. They loved us, children, unconditional 😢 I also will pray for them, that God reunited them together. They loved each other so deeply, so deeply. My fathers suffering to lose his wife was devastating. And we could not do anything to lighter his grief. Wil you also pray for them. And my good friend John. I had friendship with him for 35 years. I lost my beloved mother in February 2023. And still navigating the stages of grief, as I miss her dearly. I know joining a,church will greatly help with spiritual growth and group support. I hope to choose the right one for me.

Hi Halley just subscribed. I watched your video twice, very sorry for your losses. My sister-in-law passed away 1 week ago and l am really sad she died of cancer. Her 2 adult children passed away a few years ago of cancer. It is truly a sad time. I do ask God for help, l know he is always there. Thank you. 💔

I am griefing because of lost childhood. Because of that I am griefing because of lost motherhood to my son also. I do my best. But as you say to be free we also have to be willing to throu the deep valley.

Mine is a difficult kind of grief that leaves me feeling like a failure. My four children are alive, but my older two have had no contact with me for three years, and my younger one, though 19 and at home, has lied to me for three years. I homeschooled my third child one year and has been away at college for three years but seems more connected. I was an only parent. No one else to blame but me.
@@jolynmcteigue8371 I am so sorry, this is definitely a painful grief you’re experiencing with your children. Any mother would feel this way. although I do not know your circumstances and there’s of course sincere and honest reflections we can make as moms, and where we could have made different choices, they too are responsible for their own decisions and the enemy wants to use this situation to further accuse you and lie to you so that it intensities your grief. We are imperfect parents but GOD can do the impossible with wayward and prodigal children. This is both mine and my husbands story. I’m going to pray for you today, for the Lord to restore encouragement and hope for you! And as you pray for them may you pray as if you already have victory and they’ve returned to you and Him! I was in a spiritually abusive situation as a child and it distorted my view of God and myself. I still have the wounds and even though i logically understand that it was not God who was abusing me, its been hard for me heal. Please pray for me my dear sister in Christ ✝︎

My grief is caused by the way my immediate family is choosing to live which has made me lose most things and people outside my family. The Lord has not changed my circumstance and is walking me through the process.

Story of my life. My entire life has been Satan trying to kill steal and to destroy me. Relationships going out the door, and some quicker than others. Not allowed to be married, nor have children, nor fellow brethren who can relate spiritually to who I really am. I wonder how many more decades it will be before I finally receive. Either way, my relationship with Jesus and the revelation of His Word, will sustain me. But until I am accepted because my bank account will be large enough for them to judge me worthy of fellowship, I will hope and continue to watch and pray, for those who God is telling to minister to me, but they will not. I will continue my ministry unto them..

@@halleymastrolonardo thanks. God's been growing me a lot through it all, but I have a desire for fellowship with people in person. Almost every way that I have wanted or tried to have it, it seems that people get turned against me. If I did have a thorn in the flesh, I would say that perhaps I have been assigned a demon to cause people to avoid me like how a wild animal somehow knows not to eat something with aspartame in it.

My dad died Dec ‘21; lost a baby to miscarriage March ‘23; lost a baby to miscarriage Dec ‘23; lost a baby to ectopic pregnancy June ‘24.
I’m so so sorry to hear this! How devastating it must all be. My heart aches for you. Today I am praying for the Lord to open your womb and give you the joyful news of a healthy viable baby, an easy pregnancy and that any potential further loss would be dismantled in the name of Jesus! May He guard you with his righteous right hand, with favor, blessing and grace. Thank you for this. My father died 9 days ago at the age of 95. His death has brought up memories and emotions from my mothers untimely death 46 years ago when I was 20. Please pray for me to allow myself to fully grieve and in doing so strengthen my relationship with Jesus.
