I really enjoy this 556 vs 308 comparison. These are my two favorite rounds. It would have been interesting to see the barrel length and twist for my information.
Chalk another one up for green tip. Similar destruction (albeit a little toned down) with a ton more rounds in your pocket for the long days. Not still circling the Earth after the job is done... nice vid.
Interesting question my friend, and I've got 2 answers, 😂. Because of my usage of 7.62NATO in the long past, one would think that it is a favorite. Well it is certainly up there, but, I really love the 303 and the Lee Enfield rifle. The rifle was produced on a budget, designed for versatility, and had a mildish recoil that reminded you that you were firing a military firearm. It has character, style and an impeccable history, but it is not my overall favourite. The 308, imho, is more efficient than the 30'06 without the bluster, yes I respect both calibres, but the 308, I think, outshines it. 6.5 Creedmoor, extremely nice round. Plenty of energy downrange, zero recoil out of a TAC A1, very accurate, love it. BUT. My most favoured round is an old round, a round that was never all that popular. A heavy hitter, accurate, has character and plenty of recoil. It is expensive and a real bugger to reload but that's all part of the overall enjoyment. Some call it a torpedo launcher, but my favourite calibre by far is the 45/120 or 45 - 3 1/4 out of my Sharps, which was built in the original factory using original dies when the factory was reopened around 1980 and they did a limited run (4 digit ser num). It just makes me feel good shooting it. My old Brown Bess was a hoot, as was my 45 Kentucky, which so accurate it could shoot a pimple off you ball bag at 100yds, 🤣. Cheers mate, hope things a going good at your end.
You did not say what you where shooting these rounds with, but yeah I love the 168gr match too out of a 16"brl. I for one favor the "payload" on target, over sheer speed. But that's just me. Great info ... :>0
I would even add that it has pretty much replaced most of my other platforms, now that I've found an SFAR that shoot quite straight, and I can carry around without feeling it weights a ton...
Great video. I shoot 223 out to 500yds and it does fine on calm days but I’m bringing the Bergara 308 safe queen out to see if I can do better with it, hopefully work up some good loads for it. Thank you for the info.
“That .308 is probably still orbiting the earth”. LoL
I loved that line.
Thanks for the videos man.
Thank you for your kind words. Will keep up the good work.
Very interesting ballistics using the clay and water jugs as a medium.. I like your use of 200 yds more real world realistic .... TY
5.56 is a destructive round speed kills
5.56 was designed for more rounds vs existing power.
Moral: don't get shot by either round!
Good video. Interesting bullet comparison. Great 200-yard shooting! Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Thank you... :)
That's an awesome group at 200yds/308!
Bro, glad you're back!
Thank you. 🙂

OUTSTANDING!!!
Thank you again Mr. Suarez. Will keep up the good work.
A .243 vs .308 comparison would be good!
Good demonstration. Thanks a bundle.
Thanks for your compliment. Much appreciated. 👍
Like them both for different purposes
The rifles used are a major part of the equation. It obviously likes longer projectiles and the 5.56 needs lighter projectiles.
What rifle is .308? 16”?

Welcome back mate. Hope things are going ok.
Thank you. Good to be back 👍
I think we already know what your favorite bullet was, but am curious about what you thought was the best 2nd place finisher(s)…🤔

with everyone's opinion What would be the best Zero for a 5.56 77grn otm 16" Barrel ?
I love this range!

Thank you sir!
Good video but next time please show rifle type & barrel length. Everyone likes to make comparative measures to their own rifles.
If I'm the clay block, I don't really care about the jugs.....
12:39 wow!
Awesome 👌

Boy, that .556 does not like orange stickers.
It means, T1000 was made from clay?
That’s why the VC were so afraid of the “black rifles”……..M16
Either will effectively drop a deer or hog
