      this was abysmal testing. 1. When you test an already damaged gel block with another round, the tearing/pockets by the first round will have an effect. you need to use 1 gel block per bullet type then align them parallel and view through them all at once. 2. when you test them all you need to get to the end and compare them side by side.

    • @nn431xru1
      @nn431xru1 2 года назад +1

      I have never ever seen a 308 stop a car. You may disable it eventually after it travels a substantial distance but you will not stop it. Not even 50 cal with AP round…the vehicle will keep rolling/driving for some time. There is no such thing as stopping a car with rifle bullet. Its a myth. Pure physics….you are putting a rifle bullet weight energy against a 4000lb vehicle bullet.

    • @juangonzalez9848
      @juangonzalez9848 2 года назад

      Yeah, even a .50 is going to have issues stopping a vehicle in one hit, .308 is gonna take many many more then the one to stop it in a meaningful distance. By that I mean that vehicle might be damaged, but it’s gonna keep rolling for a fair bit longer then you would think. Get your vehicle going at 30mph and put it in neutral, check how long it takes to stop with no brakes, now judge if that distance is still within your effective range. .308 might take out the driver, and if your lucky they spasm and jam a foot on the brakes, other then that that vehicle is going to be out of your effective range.

    What’s the point in shooting FMJ for any test? That round is for paper plinking/cheap ammo. Serves no purpose for anything other than shooting for fun. Test soft or hollows on targets. Those are primary target rounds

      Green tip is not armor piercing; it's barrier defeating. Regular 5.56 shatters when it hits most surfaces not flesh, green tip can go through some drywall maybe...AP it is not. In fact, regular fmj with a lighter bullet with penetrate steel plate because of velocity, but green tip generally won't.

    • @joesinegal8167
      @joesinegal8167 3 года назад

      You Also Have To Remember That The Green Tip Is On A 62GR Round And Is Not Rated As Armor Piercing! I Think That It's A Fair Comparison Due To The Weight Differences. The Other Rounds Definitely Have A Huge Weight Advantage, Which Usually Accounts For Better/Deeper Penetration. ✌️🇺🇸✌️

    308 all day long. If you didn't use soft tip. You are not comparing apples to apples. Who even fires lead our of their 308 anymore? You need to tune your rifle to the rounds you use. If you use cheap ammo at the range and tune your rifle when you use good ammo the ballistics will have changed.
    You need to pick the ammo your rifle likes best. Lead free ofcourse. Zero it and do your gas adjustment(308 ar platform) and continue to use the same cartridge.

      Yeah there’s a lot of talk both on and offline about 7.62 being better because of the size and power, but I’ve always said that 5.56 will do the job. Here in England though the only way to use such weapons is in the armed forces or maybe armed police so people only go from their opinions.
      Good video there mate, it’s always interesting to see the internal damage through ballistic jelly and slowed down 👍🏻.
