I wouldn't think they release another R6 so soon. The mark 2 is a very capable camera. R5 is overdue and they just announced the R1, so those may be released first. Just my guess

They aren't this is just fantasy. We won't see a R6 iii any time soon, unless Canon plan to upgrade it with a stacked sensor.

Increasing the pixel count does not seem like a good idea. There is the R5 and soon R5 II for those who want more pixels. I do not see how the R6 III would have more dynamic range than the R6 II while the pixels get smaller. It will certainly not have a stacked BSI sensor.

Please be aware that you need around 40mp from a 3:2 sensor to get consumer 8k or around 45mp 3:2 for cinema 8k.
So yes, complete rubbish.
