- In this video I will show you how to transfer LARGE files from your iPhone to your PC (Win10). I don't know why, but apparently Apple has decided that we (the consumers) should struggle transfering files to our PC or Mac, if the file is above 4GB or 15min in length...

Just really quick before more people comment on it...
Firstly,
NO I was not paid to promote the APP :P Nor did I receive the paid version for free. A good tip for the future is to look under the video if it says "Includes paid promotion".
Secondly,
The free version of the APP has been changed since I made this video from what people are telling me. So the developers have apparently but a few more restraints to the free version... But I promise, me having bought (with my own money) the full version, it works like a dream.
Thirdly,
To people who are mad at the APP developers for putting limits to their "free version"... Shame on you :P APP developers put a lot of work into their APPs and should get paid for their work like anyone else. Getting mad about an APP costing money is an egoistic and toxic mindset.
And in this case where it is APPLE who are the "evil ones" for trying to limit their customers to Apple products, by giving you a hard time for not buying ONLY their products, I have only praise to a developer who created us a loophole around Apples "monopoly" mindset. I GLADLY bought the full APP if it meant NEVER having issues with transfering video files to my PC.
Look man, I dont care what others say, but I did download the program you recommended a week ago, and it really worked for me! So big thank you for the effort making this video. Though I use free version, which limits me to use only first 50 files in the category (videos, images, selfies...), so I had to delete some of the old material, what I did not mind doing so. This way I'm forced to delete files what I really dont need. Anyway, thanks for the good tutorial and the idea, it is great!
I'm tired of Apple man, they really have the best camera and that things for content creators but that monopoly thing is horrible...
We need to covey to Apple that making their products completely incompatible with everything else (i.e. impossible to use, worthless) isn't just annoying, but a bad business model. It's a stupid strategy and it should backfire. There is nothing that Apple makes that you can't get a better version of from other companies.

I hate asking for upvotes but please upvote this for visibility to help others.
The desktop app will put a B.S limitation saying something like it can "only transfer the top 50 items of an album." and to have full access to your album please upgrade to premium. Also the "top 50" is the first 50 not the most recent 50 which is most likely where the file you need belongs. To work your way around this just create a new album, put what you want to transfer into the new album and select from there.
I tried to download a vid from my recents and it didn't work. I put the same exact vid in a new a new album and it downloaded.

Yeah can’t change format of the video without the pro version so this video is pretty much just an ad for simple transfer at this point
Another way to deal with this is to remove and reinstall the app, when prompted for permission allow access to only the files that you want to download. This worked for me.
Thank you so much! This video is GOLD! Your advice really saved my bacon. Tried using Dropbox to transfer my video clips and they all ended up looking splotchy. Simple Transfer did an amazing job. A workaround for the 50 file import limit, you just save 50 into a separate folder and it works like a charm. No need to upgrade!
A thousand times thank you! I filmed a video today with the settings you said and it transferred super quickly to my laptop and the quality is really good. Does this really work? the paid version? Im a novice with this shit. I bought the XR for all its gadgets and shit, and cant even get the videos off the phone so I can edit them...I have an older macbook pro and plugged the phone in and nothing...Saw very mixed reviews about this app...i mean $10 aint killing me, but id rather not just freely give it away for nothing...I was recording podcasts on my phone so 30min average time...

This video literally saved me days of transferring images and videos (nearly 2000 in total) from my iPhone to my pc. I was transferring them to another program from my phone, converting them to windows supported formats them to the destination folder. This is well worth the $30 for the pro version. It converts and transfers at the same time. And you have the option to delete from your iPhone when its don't downloading to your PC! HUGE TIME SAVER! Thank you for this video!

Also as an aside for others debating whether or not to upgrade: I upgraded to the paid version cuz it's $12/yr (at the time of this comment). That's a $1/month for something I'll use almost daily. While annoying to have to purchase an upgrade, it seemed pretty inconsequential to just make the purchase, for something I'll use so much. They have a lifetime purchase of $24. If I end up using this product a ton, then a year from now, I'll just purchase the lifetime upgrade. Happy editing, folks!

This is amazing, quick, and easy! A downfall is that it will take a LOT of time if you want to transfer really heavy videos but it will do the job!!!
Thank you, I will have to try this. I can’t believe Apple makes it so difficult to transfer files to PC. With a Apple laptop you can simply use airdrop. But like you I prefer Windows PC and Apple iPhone.
I have a Mac and Airdrop works wonders but only with files smaller than half a gigabyte

BUT, the free version doesn't allow you to access ANY files past the first 50 videos ever recorded on your phone 😢
So basically, if you have an old phone, you can't access any of your new files, only the first 50 you ever recorded.
actually its pretty simple my dude, just make a new folder on your phone and add the videos that you want!!

oh just either delete some videos and have them go to the recently deleted and just recover them after downloading the vid you wanted to your computer, or just make another folder and add your video to it like the first comment said :)lol

It's a little more time consuming, but you can simply edit the video on the phone itself into smaller clips. Just select the video, choose Edit on the upper right hand corner to edit, choose a section of the video via the slider, then select Done. You will have the option to save as a new clip. Just keep track of where you are slicing the clips as you are piecing them out (you can even overlap them slightly), and you will then be able to to transfer to your PC. Of course, it will be helpful if you have video editing software to piece it back together, but I assume that's what you would want to accomplish.
I just tried this myself, when I realized while watching this video that there has to be a way to do it without 3rd party software. I 1-1/2 hour 1080p/30 video successfully copied over in 4 pieces. 😁

Oh gosh, this is exactly the same situation I had! Bought the iPhone SE about 2 months ago specifically for improved video and I could not figure out how to get my videos onto my YT channel. Your "Favorites" is also an album so you can just favorite the video and as long as you don't have more than 50 files in that album you're good

Thanks!! Your video was on point. Simple Transfer (FREE VERSION) was easy and had no gimmicks. I was able to transfer a 4G video from my iPhone to my laptop with no problems. The transfer did take quite a while but that's because of its size, but playback was no problems. Thanks again!!
Still have to buy the pro version for it to work properly, this should be so simple and should not require 3rd party paid apps. Wish there was a better solution
Just got an iphone for our videos, and now we're stuck because the guy with the iphone can't come at my house since the pandemic problem.. And he has the videos on his phones, and we can't get them to edit..

Yep, same issue. Had no issue with the "Top 50" nonsense so thought it was gonna work. Nope. Transferred over and now it's only sound, no video. Luckily the pro price really is reasonable and the app is excellently intuitive.
Download the program HandBrake (look it up! Super safe and popular program). It will convert any video file to any version you want. Simply convert it to Mp4. Although it is lame, its not too bad once you get used to using it.
Just recorded a video on an iPhone (wish I didn't). Video was supposed to go to editor Wednesday morning, now it's Thursday and I've just found this solution. What a silly thing from a phone worth this much. Expected better as it says Pro Max😒
Simple transfer works with Linux, you just need to use a web browser instead of the companion app.

I've just tried a simple file copy from Linux Mint 20. Works with no problems (didn't with the older iphones). So no app - just copying from the phone while it's connected to the PC via the Apple's charging/USB cable that came with the phone. At least with the new iphone SE.
The old models did work with Windows only, while this new one works with Linux, apparently. Which is my preferred choice, so no complaints there. :)

@@elbaymammadyarov8120 I just figured something out, if you can't select and download something, it may be because you can only download from the first 50 photos or videos from an album. Hint hint, so instead of just giving up from the recent album, select the things you want to download, make a new album, and move it there, then restart the program, and select them from that album! It works for me :D!
tysm, this works. also for all the ppl that are wondering why it says it can only download the top 50 files here's a solution, just add the video or photo you want to another file with less then 50 items or make a new one. easy!
This has caused me so much grief today and you fixed it you absolute legend.
I just used the "Media converter" app on the App store that allows you to convert from .mov to .mp4 and other extensions for free and allows you to transfer to your computer over wifi. Much better than this method IMO.
Do you have to get the media converter app for both your iPhone and your laptop?

Gina Land well... hahaha only way I can actually transfer all my videos from my phone to laptop is that you open Facebook messenger on laptop and my phone. I send videos to my sister from using my phone (sorry again sis) and on the laptop go into the conversation and download my own video. So it saves on my laptop. It’s quicker than it sounds, literally takes seconds to do minute long videos or even longer.

WARNING: There is now a limitation on the free version of the SimpleTransfer Desktop software where it now includes an alert saying "In the free version of the app, you can transfer only the TOP 50 items of each album. Also Live Photo, High Efficiency exports and sort order are not available." This makes it effectively useless for anyone with more than 50 videos/photos on their phone - the default sort order in the app is "OLDEST FIRST", and if you try to change that to "NEWEST FIRST," it just pops up that alert again. Unfortunately, this tip is useless now :(
Actually, it can be bypassed fairly simple 😂, create a new album and put the files in there, now select in the pc the files but from that album, and it should work
