I didn't think he'd make me forget Sonny Corleone. But he did it. Excellent performance in a fantastic picture. Kathy Bates and James Caan made me forget about everything...but "Misery"!

Yes, forgot she was in Titanic..just love her. Liked her part in Rumor Has It. Doubt I’ve ever missed a movie of hers. Dolore Claiborne is another fantastic film, Fried Green Tomatoes….endless.
I think what got me as his performance as Paul Sheldon in MISERY was that his character was such a sweet man who was an accomplished writer who Annie supposedly admired yet she insisted on torturing him and holding him captive. You actually feel for him and hope he escapes. Most horror movies are just idiot college students getting their heads chopped off by some maniac and you think "who cares" if they die and you root for the killer. Kathy Bates made me hate her as Annie Wilkes and I hope Paul triumphed over her. PS: Kathy was sweet as Dolores Claiborne.
